I've been watching your content since 2020 and I really like this new video series showcasing a champion/build with 2 games! Thank you for your hard work Mr. Pekin!
Pretty impressive how during the second game despite you being extremely giga fed on a scaling champ during the early game, you still were very aware that you could easily lose
idk why there is a misconception that veigar is a scaling champ. like he has infinte scaling but he hard falls off late game as it was seen in this game. hard scalers are champs like vlad, kayle and casio. a 800ap vlad will do more dmg woth one full combo than veigar in 5 fights bc his skillshots are easily dodgable and he is low range and squishy
As a horrible Veigar main since season 3, I always click so fast to watch your Veigar videos. It's so cool to see how high elo players play him differently than low elo like myself. My stats are good but win% is sub 60% so, hard to leave Silver/Gold haha
@@wikingzkurwabrodaitoporem1382 I mean generally. Decision making, roaming and recognizing the pressure points throughout Laning phase and late game. I usually feel a bit lost at end game since I usually stop stacking and try to force fights, so it's good to see how to transition better between phases, etc.
11:26 What are these shutdown calculations? 400 gold bounty for being 3/0, and the game was 4 to 6. The gold difference cannot be that big of a disparity that they deserve to get that big of a shutdown. 300 gold bounty at max if you consider dragon and grubs being a component. Shutdowns have been absurdly nonsensical as of late. Edit: 48:35 SERIOUSLY? Varus is 0/0/1 here. Not up in farm that much, the score is 10 to 12, he has at most 2 plates of gold, and somehow has a 150 gold bounty. Meanwhile, Xayah is 3/0 and gets two kills at 45:47, and doesn't have a bounty prior to them, and then only starts getting a 150 gold bounty at 48:16 after 1 kill. There's no way that Xayah is 6/1/1 after not giving a shutdown after 5 consecutive kills, doesn't have a bounty after she dies in case it didn't update in time, and only winds up with a 150 gold bounty 3 minutes later, yet Varus is 0/0/1, no where near as rich as her, and has the same bounty amount. I know team gold weighs in, and dragons assumedly do as well, but this is just absurd. What the hell is this broken ass system? They are not so far behind that they deserve to get 150 gold extra on Varus. Edit 2: It gets worse. After getting shutdowns, and the score still being relatively even, 57:30 Varus has a 300 gold bounty for daring to be 3/2/1. They also didn't seem to even get a bounty from Pekin dying at 56:09. The only thing I can think of is the assists are adding up to the difference, but it still makes absolutely no sense why it's bleeding over onto Varus so much.
ima be real, the amount of times i see people live with literally sub 50 hp (even more tilting when its like 10 or 14 hp) makes these tiny buffs for some champs a lot more important than they sound
as a pisslo veigar/lux enjoyer i really like watching these "low elo" champs work, it shows i have no excuses to not make it work to at least emerald. QQ if anyone knows, when do you pick scaling runes like first strike? On a champ like veigar do you always play to just scale rather than make plays? not that good in river fights and sometimes team morale goes to shit when you dont follow the river play
has anyone else been having an issue where the video quality on Pekin's videos is stuck at "unknown"? I've been having this for a few months now and only with roughly half of Pekin's videos.
55:53 Am I crazy or was that not his team's fault at all? Rakan's at his face, they see Xayah on a ward coming from behind the Blue Buff, and then Eve was spotted near her. Alistar was topside cos he zoned away the Asol, Varus is trapped at the back of the pit, and Ezreal was over a wall. Nunu zoned the Rakan so Pekin and Varus can escape to topside, and he walked towards mid lane anyway?
pekin im just a humble 8 season long hard stuck diamond 4 player but I like unsealed spell book on viegar. gives him some early strength after TP back to lane
@@jahuuuu9625 yeah I was wondering how the feather got there, if somebody backs and xayah autos them as they finish the back, it will follow them back to spawn. Nobody was backing so idk how that even appeared
soo tewchnically what u can do is put the edge of the cage oin u when he uses r so he gets insta stunned so then u w q r then he insta dies............... i only know that b/c i one tricked kassadin for like all of s 13..... oh u could do that or have your jungle camp him and only him on repeat for like 18 minutes straight
Man, the darius in the first game is why I'm perma banned on chat and people wonder why junglers go crazy, poor nidalae watched this clown just sleep under turret (I have no spells, what a handycap 😂😂😂😂). I wonder how many times that's gonna happen throughout the vid... Edit: in high elo. In god forsaken high elo....
Kinda looked like he was too low. If he walks up there to help or pressure, he likely dies to a single combo. It would’ve been close either way and Darius didn’t want to take that risk and potentially throw lane. He should’ve back pinged Nid though instead of baiting her
Your macro and game knowledge is so insanely good. But your mechanics (skillshots in this video for instance) are sometimes very painful to watch lmao. You are still 100x better than me obviously. But some of those q misses hurt me a bit
Almost every mid champ with skill shots is bad in high elo sadly. There is a reason pros don't play Veigar, Lux, Xerath, Zoe etc It's cuz they are unreliable since all skill shots are telegraphed enough that high elo players side step it. So most attempts of skill shots is 50 50. Either they walk into it or dodge it.
