Yeah, the Arbiter is *basically* your Elite version of Master Chief. I recommend watching the Terminals for Halo 2 after you finish playing, it will give you more insight on the Arbiter as well as the Grunt Rebellion and how that came about...and ended. Just as well, best guide for a new player in telling the difference between friend and foe as the Arbiter versus the Heretic faction: blue/purple = friend, anything light yellow/orange = foe. Friendly Grunts will have pointed or rounded backpacks, while Heretic Grunts will have two rods sticking up on their backs. Heretic Elites do not wear helmets.
