I am sorry. 

I was waiting to post this tomorrow but some how it went public just now. Thank you everyone for the kind comments and words I truly am blown away by how many of you care about me. I know I should ignore the "haters" or discouraging comments but I just don't want anyone to ever think I would harm my animals or not try and give them the best I could, animals play such an important part in my life and make my life so much better.

Tori, I know that no words can ever be good enough to heal the pain of losing a pet. I really am so so sorry this happened and sorry to see you this upset. 😢 Please do not beat yourself up over anything or let anyone "guilt" you. You have been an incredibly caring hamster owner and have inspired SO many people to better care for their hamsters too. You paved the way for other hamster and pet channels on RU-vid, and I hope you can feel proud for all you have accomplished and the way you have positively impacted the hamster community forever. I'm sorry you have had such poor luck with the hamsters you have adopted, but this is in no way your fault. It's really a shame that anyone would make or has made you feel bad about any of this. Please don't lose heart.

I feel like people don’t understand how hard it is to keep small animals like hamsters, rats, mice, etc. Their lifespans aren’t very long to start with, but the fact that they’re considered “throwaway pets” or “snake food” by so many people makes it worse. Because of the general attitude taken towards small pets, the pet industry doesn’t care about anything but making money off of them, and so their breeding is ridiculously poor. They get ill, they’re prone to disease, they’re not looked after properly because pet stores dispense improper information about how to take care of them... You can do all the right things, but like you said, there’s nothing more you can do if you’ve given them everything they need to thrive, taken them to the vet, and followed the vet’s instructions. Sometimes you just lose them. Unfortunately, you lose them publicly, and people feel that means you’re opening yourself up to their judgement. I’m sorry about Little Bear ❤️

If it weren’t for you and your channel, my kid and I would never have the joy of properly owning and caring for a hamster. We got our hamster from our neighbor. He was in the small pet store cage. I knew nothing. I started doing research on RU-vid, and now we have a 40 gallon breeder tank, and a new hamster named Calen who we are working on temping. Thank you so much!

you should not feel guilty at all! i got my amazing little hamster jupiter and he lived in a small cage with very little bedding and i just didnt know what i was doing, but then i found your channel and you made me realize that i needed to upgrade. then i got an ikea detolf and all the right things and he lived an amazing life. do you know how different jupiters life would have been without you? you saved my little jupiter and i thank you for that!

The fact that you feel the need to apologize for Little Bear's passing is upsetting, you cared for him and did all you could. You are amazing! If it weren't for your videos I would be buying a store bought cage, the wrong food, the wrong bedding and nesting material, and wouldn't be able to give my hamster proper care and a happy life! I'm saddened to hear Little Bear did not make it, may the little one rest in peace. Hamsters have so many different illnesses. Only with time and education will we understand what has happened to our previous hamsters so we can be better informed about our future hamsters/pets. By people blaming you for a sudden unexplained knot and then death is beyond bull$%^&. Hamsters live 1-3 years, 4 years for some robo's. But most of the time the hamsters come from pet mills with bad genetics. And unfortunately not all doctors who will willingly see a Hamster will know what is wrong at first glance but it just sounds like a genetic thing for Little Bear with little to no hope cause vets don't really have the knowledge. People breed hamsters so severely to get those gorgeous colors...they don't really think about the genetics of creating hamsters. You are simply a person advocating for better hamster care. You're not a vet and people think they can hold you to that high of a standard when you're not one. You're like an activist for hamsters. People need to understand that. You are not to blame for hamsters passing. As you know i just had two hamsters pass within the same week. One i recently acquired, one who was a year and 4 months who possibly had heart failure. The more we talk about hamsters and their health concerns, the more people are made aware of that when owning a hamster. Cause without experiencing this first hand, i would never have known Hamsters could get skin cancer or develop tumors in weird places. Now i know hamsters could get knots...tho I've never heard of such a thing. I've heard of stomach tumors blocking food from traveling through but more research needs to be done about these little guys. So keep making videos Victoria. I believe you're a wonderful person and a good friend who i enjoy watching on a daily basis. I fully support you and your voice. Hugs.

Hey Sweetie, I know exactly how you feel. I literally do. You were the best Mom to Little Bear, you went to the vet and did what you could. It sucks HUGE losing them and feeling helpless. I have lost a couple guinea pigs in a very similar fashion and nothing hurts more than having them slip away in your arms. Times of sadness for us bring out the angry and mean spirited people. They love to latch onto your hurt and try to rub it in because it makes them feel good for a few seconds. Misery loves company and they want you to feel as crappy as they do. But you know what? You never will because you are surrounded by everyone who adores you. You are a strong young women who cares deeply for her pets and that is something to be proud of and don't let the nasty people make you doubt yourself for a second. I have had some of the rudest things said when I share about a pet passing but that is the only time you will hear from those people, when they want to start drama and when they can feed off the sadness. It is a shame they waste their life feeling like trash, I feel bad for them. Don't stop doing what you do, we need more people like yourself showing everyone what it is like to be beautiful inside and out. You are a shining star to all the pets lives you look after. I know hurtful comments stand out, but they only have as much power as we give them, which should be none. Please keep your chin up and know Little Bear is smiling right now thinking of you, because you were there for him and made his life wonderful. Some pets are only here for a short time and the quality of life means more than the quantity. I send you huge hugs! Little Bear will be missed greatly and forever in your heart.

This was so incredibly hard to watch, but also so very REAL and I hope that people can appreciate and see how much you truly care. You go above and beyond for your hamsters, when so many in the world are overlooked and given a substandard quality of life. I really hope you find the strength to carry on making videos after you've had a moment to gather your thoughts, you've done so much over the years to inspire better care for so many hamsters (and bunnies). The fact that you adopt your hamsters and give them homes when they would otherwise not have one is a huge giveaway to how much you care, and the background animals come from when you adopt is not something you control, neither is their genetics, which I think is something struggle to understand when it comes to losing animals suddenly or early. Genetics plays a huge part in an animals lifespan and health, and the fact that you're willing to adopt hamsters and give them a chance without knowing their genetic history and what you might face is admirable. For anyone to think that you don't care, they don't see how distraught you are in the process, or how quick you are to act and say that you're going to the vet, but theres only so much you can share online, but I think it's extremely brave that you shared this side of you to let everyone know what happened.
