the logic is sound actually you’re acting like he only has to carry the sword and not the armor. but in reality you’re weighted down by the armpit you wear. so think about it as “i can’t carry all this armor and a sword it’s too heavy. but if i put down the pants i can carry the rest because it’s slightly lighter

I got the spear as soon as I enter but didn't bother to use I thought it was just there. until I look how to kill this guy and they were using it. I killed this boss with jump heavy attack. i didn't even know the ash of war is a 2 hit combo I thought it was just the thrust until I saw charlie did it lol
@@dragonblade6375 Oh I got that, I just didn't use it. Fighting him in the fire isn't as bad as it seems, the fire does minimal damage and only does damage+staggers you once every so often.
Rykard to me is a gimmick fight done right. The gimmick is fun to use and obviously strong, but it doesn’t trivialize the fight completely. He still has some difficulty. Not like Yhorm where the gimmick makes him a complete joke.
I agree, but I wish they made the lava deal a lot more damage and just be a bigger hazard. When I originally did it I just ran into his lava and tanked the damage and just jump attacked him, he legit couldn’t do anything, it really took away from the battle.
He can play the game. To me it’s annoying when he whines about stuff. He can literally continue to play the game how he wants to and ignore those people and still get his paper. Still entertain us who are watching no matter what the build is. Him whining back at them is just as bad. I do appreciate him doing what his fans ask him but if it annoys him to the point where he says it 6-7 times bro just play it how you want to lmao.

Charlie: I think summons make the game too easy. Also Charlie: Uses one of the most broken weapons in the game that allows him to chunk a boss’s health at barely any cost from range with an easy to attain build. There’s nothing wrong with either way of playing. But don’t pretend like they don’t both make the game much easier. If someone has that weapon and waits for an opening to fire the laser nearly every single boss is trivial.

Its weird that the god devouring serpant has a gimmic that wants you to use the ranged sword but ranged attacks can proc the boss to use its super anti-cheese move
It's not that hard to get mad at this game unless you die to something actually annoying like a normal enemy, but he does get very frustrated sometimes like against Radahn and Malenia

SONaF was the strongest thing in 1.02, it sucks to see because every build he did incorporated abuse of status effects or was the strongest thing in the game, I hope he does a run thats pure physical or strike and doesnt rely on OP mechanics

It’s supper frustrating watching him say how bleed builds are easy but he can stand 40 feet away from every enemy and spam it over and over when I’m still using bloodhounds fang lvl 9+ and don’t even come close to the damage he does either
Yeah, I am choosing to give him the benefit of the doubt since this was his first playthrough, so he probably knew a lot less about the mechanics of the game than he was acting like, plus his chat was being super obnoxious so I understand why he’d get argumentative and defend his build, but on the same note it definitely is frustrating to hear him act like a regular old bleed build would somehow be more overpowered than this weapon, or when he starts saying things like “almost every weapon would be this powerful if you upgrade them a little”, which is just straight up not true. It’s also disingenuous of him to continually bash on summons and say using them is “playing the game on easy mode”. Summons do undoubtedly make the game much easier, but he’s acting like him just keeping distance, and simply pressing LT like 4 times a battle from 30 feet away to beat every single boss isn’t arguably just as much of “easy mode”. For the record I have no problem with Charlie using an OP weapon/build/whatever, I also have no problem with other players using summons. None of it is for me personally, but players should play and enjoy the game how they want to; especially if it’s their first playthrough. The problem arises for me when you have someone that is continuously calling certain playstyles overpowered and “easy mode” while refusing to acknowledge that they are utilizing a very overpowered weapon that results in a super easy playstyle. Again, no problem with him using that weapon, but if you’re going to use it don’t pretend like it doesn’t trivialize the game’s difficulty, while also bashing other players’ playstyles for being easy mode.

Simply don’t continuously shit on certain players and their builds, and act like they are playing on “easy mode” while also pretending like you aren’t also using an insanely overpowered build. It’s his refusal to admit he is cheesing his way through most bosses, and his hypocrisy of acting like he’s super skilled, while also bashing other builds that are less overpowered than his own that is frustrating to most people.
Rykard is a gimmick boss done right finally. Yeah there's a gimmick but the fight is still a challenge with that gimmick whereas past games the gimmick negates the entire fight and generally you aren't beating the boss without a gimmick unless you're very good.
Rykard, Radahn, Rennala and Malenia are 4 of the absolute coolest boss fights of all time, and they all come from the same game. And there’s like 10 more I could name. This is truly one of the greatest video games ever made and unless God Of War 2 or BOTW 2 come this year and they’re on this level, this is a lock for GOTY.
These main bosses should have more magic resistance. Every main boss gets absolutely dunked on by magic users. My friend killed Morgot in 4 hits and just straight up restarted with a Samurai build. Wanted to actually play a video game, not run through the main story with ease

I find it hilarious he finds heavy armor strength builds boring but uses one of the most OP weapons for it's weapon art and barely ever attacks at all, just runs away. Different strokes.
I find tanks boring because they're slowly played, that doesn't mean I don't like cheese or cooler op things Bloodhound step is a good example of fun and strong. It's what I ended up using for Melania when helping people
I think the issue people had with the faith build was the reliance on sword of night and flame instead of actual faith stuff like lightning spear etc. does suck that they whine about it, but it is heavily busted.

It baffles me that he doesn’t constantly stop and stare at the scenery every 10 minutes, this game is beautiful. He just runs past everything to get to the next boss :/
I know you probably won't see this, but flame of frenzy is a very nice one, because it has massive stagger values. Although that's the same reason Rock Toss is useful.
His build is what his girl should be using on her 1st playthrough. He used claws for like 5 hours, Bloodhounds Fang for an hour, and 60 hours with Night and Flame.
How exactly do you classify “cheese”? Is a weapon cheese when it’s above a certain average dps? Strength, bleed, faith or intelligence builds can each do 1200 dps or more at higher levels.. you’re just gatekeeping

Half a boss' health for virtually no cost with a speedy animation and instant recovery, from a distance where the boss AI isn't even attacking anymore, is the textbook definition of cheese. And he spoiled his playthrough with it. I also did with my first playthrough, I'm glad the nerfed this weapon to the ground
So just because I heard some misinformation ab Radhan, you can 100% go to kill him before ever going to do the questline, I did it. The same things still happened, but I didn't talk to Blaidd in the boss arena until after I started the quest and then the little animation happens and then you can get into Nokron.
Not trying to bash on him but seriously he needs to do some research on games he's completely into...cuz he's sitting there talking like he knows a lot of the game yet if it wasn't for chat he'd miss alot of bosses and shit and just rush the game like for instant he didn't even search that good...there's a building that's identical to the round table he doesn't even know it and it opens up alot of questions lore wise of the purpose for both

I've been using my easy mode build since before I even got my first great soul Comet Azur does average of 5k-12k damage depending on what the enemies spell resistance is

I know Charlie hates when people suggest builds as I'm going through the comments its becoming even more apparent. But I want to just suggest eleonoras blade not because its strong or anything but it's got such a cool Moveset that I think Charlie would really enjoy and would look awesome with radahns helmet haha
I don’t know why so many people are telling Charlie to switch builds, in my play through I was so bad at end game bosses I mostly got help from summons which are 10x more broken than good builds. Because summons actually take some bosses off your back and give you a chance to breath. Not to mention mimic tear is still broken. Not to mention summoning other actual players to bosses with even more broken builds, and even sometimes builds catered to defeating that specific boss you summoned them to help with.
People were just getting annoyed with him because he was acting pretentious saying he didn't need summons or co-op help and thought that was cheap, yet was using the most broken weapon in the game at the time and beating almost every boss with ease. I think people should play how they want, but I also understand why his chat was getting annoyed.
