Thank you for posting....I’m 41 and have been in a case for disability for over 2 years. I have zero income, zero aid. I’m completely dependent on my 72 year old mother who is on SS and is also a toxic mean narcissist. I also have a teen daughter that she has completely turned against me.
Yo Mamas, I am so sorry to hear about your situation. I am forever sad and often angered by us disabled folx having to accept such awful rock and hard place situations just to survive. I am living a similar situation where I live (although not with a parent). The people I have had to rely on for childcare since my daughter was young have interfered in such a severe and toxic way that our relationship was almost completely broken. Keep the faith and know that your pure love will see both u and your child through this incredibly difficult situation. Mine is a young adult now and we have almost competely repaired our relationship. Children cannot understand the complexity and truth of the realities they live until later. But they know the truth and we can help them to understand, when they are ready. I do realize that is a very hard pill to swallow and probably seems like a very long time to wait (and it is). But in our children's lives, it is a short time. I hope you have the support you need to help you thru this. Please reach out to me if you need or want.
How is your credit? I’m considering trying to buy an rv once I get my disability (mobile homes down here are usually drug dens unless you have your own land/no others)
Actually the amount I pay for my housing here is very low so it wouldn’t help to move to another state except for that I am probably going to because I need a different caregiving situation. The caregiving program here does he’s an agency I have to hire people myself and it’s totally overwhelming.
