Crazy how OSRS has a gold buying mechanic in-game now

Imagine if they had a famous content creator on here, like it's anonymous, but would be hilarious if we watched one of these and were like "is that is that Verf??"

I just spent $50 on bonds to progress my account more. Balancing a full time job, school, wife and kid is hard. So, since I don't have the time to grind like I used to, I use my adult money to make osrs fun for me again.

I bought bonds to make up for a 120m loss when I was doing scorpia and got skulled casting barrage on the boss as a pk team logged under it. (before skull prevention update)

i buy bonds all the time. Would never trust those illegal sites. Wanted to very badly back in the day. like 08. but didnt have grown up money then. My dad was paying for my member ship.

They can get like 14 bonds in the black market for $30…

I think most of these people are afraid to admit buying large amounts of bonds or the amount they have bought in gold. I have only bought bonds from jagex a few hundred worth over the years. But that’s supporting jagex and supporting the game. These people work full time at jagex and deserve to get paid for the game they provide us. So let’s all stop pretending it’s bad to support jagex by buying bonds and membership so they can continue updating our game with new content.

Whenever i need a bond i buy the price of the bond in coins. I have bought some larger amounts in the past but not over 200m total. Imo the grinding is hard and time consuming and i´d gather spend some money to get in game coins so i can do what i want. Most of us are adults with not that much time to play so why not make the best of it in your own way?

I for one don’t mind paying $1400 in bonds to sell for a twisted bow, lmfao.

I've decided long time ago to only spend money on membership and nothing else. If I start buying bonds to get GP to get one item, I don't know where it'll end. Practising bosses/mechanics is much more important than having BIS gear. I'd rather raid with someone with a 20m setup who knows what's going on than someone with 200m and I'll have to carry (which I'm by far not good enough for anyway).

When duel arena was around. About 2-4k maybe even more. Had a huge gambling addiction when duel arena was around. Ended up doing scummy shit for gold to feed that addiction. Glad arena is gone even tho I still have that itch every time I get a rare drop and be like damn I could go stake this and make 4x.

I've bought bonds once to recover from losing 30m to a scam. I've also bought a bond before to make up for some items in my bank crashing overnight. Only though Jagex, and never because I wanted to afford some high priced item or anything. I like making money in-game, and I really dislike it when I unfairly lose those gains haha.

well i feel less of a loser for spending $24 on bonds to take what wouldve taken a month or more to be able to make 1mil/hr down to a 2 week grind

Idk why nobody's talking about this...Buying bonds from Runescape directly from the game to sell to obtain gold from the GE to assist yourself in leveling up is no longer possible without the risk of being banned. This is only profitable if you use one account entirely. With an ALT account it's actually the easiest way to get banned. (Esp. If your ALT account is a non-member) In the Rules of Runescape it even states "Trading wealth or items between your own accounts is done entirely at your own risk." They will happily wipe your stats, bank items and equipped items. Paying customer not. If your going to spend more money you should know that the moment you turn it into a bond that you have no control to what happens to it.
