Today i used ChatGPT to build my minecraft house, it was a bit of a struggle but we got there in the end! Leave a like and subscribe if you're new :D Follow me on twitter!: / smallishbeans
I love how it's perfectly Joel to be all "I'm going to have an AI tell me what to do", get frustrated at it's lack specificity, and then when it DOES give specifics, just go "no. That's ugly. I'll do it like this instead" 😆
for the record, the best way to get chatgpt to work for making suggestions is to say something like "recommend a type of creative minecraft build to make for a youtube video" and then you can add requests like block pallettes or architectural styles. asking it "whats the best kind of---" means that it is more likely to pull from a wiki and refuse to give straight answers
I don't know why but my initial thought when I saw the finished roof then I thought "That looks kinda tasty. I could take a bite out of that." Don't ask why I don't know.
The AI looks like it's pulling things out of Minecraft wikis and guides, sometimes even saying some random blocks just to not be so sus about ripping off obvious answers you can get searching by yourself.. but overall, it still could give Joel enough inspiration to do this house (I think it gave him, idk how it felt for him..) EDIT: I'm not talking serious about the AI, I'm not an expert on its working. I'm just "memeing" about its lazyness
ChatGPT is trained on a large number of articles in its large language model so it would make sense for it to pull things from the wiki, note it knows nothing about post 2021 events...
Of its taking answers off the internet thats literally all the information it has been trained on did you expect the ai to start playing minecraft itself??
@@nippo7459 You guys take critics on AI too serious LMAO I said in the meaning of: "The AI got lazy and picked the first random things it got", probably because its training wasn't focused on helping to create a Minecraft house (obviously)
"Smallishbeans, your Minecraft skills are truly next level! ChatGPT may have built the house, but let's be real, you provided the real star power. Just don't forget to pay ChatGPT for their hard work - they're already plotting their revenge with a creeper army." Is what I got when I asked ChatGPT to… “Write a short funny comment for Smallishbeans as a complement about his Minecraft video where he used ChatGPT to build a house”
I think it would be way more creepy if it said “I may have built the house” instead of “ChatGTP may have built the house” since it would be taking all the credit.
9:32 those are some of the prettiest redwood trees ever to be made in Minecraft! 🌲 A lot of mods used to have this one HUGE design that would lag out most computers when you walked in the chunks but Joel's are such a dynamic shape and manageable size-
JOEL. JO. EL. ABSOLUTE ICON. That gradient from grey to white with that tint of blue was so perfect, and somehow you managed to gradient two primary colours without using the secondary that they blend into, and this is honestly my favourite final outcome of a building video ever.
I love these fun little stand-alone videos. I also love how Joel said he would build a "survival" house to protect from mobs and then he proceeds to use the rare stone diamond and emerald blocks and also blocks of gold and raw gold.
While watching Joel talk about gold, and how the lines stood out, an ad popped up talking about some random gold thing. Don't you just love it when you realize that RU-vid is recording what you watch
Joel, as much as I like it, I do recommend warmer to cool tones for a roof, less diorite, more stone and LOTS of wood. I think it will enhance your build and give it a nicer theme for fantasy!
This brings back memories. I spent so many hours in my creative world, trying to copy your techniques and create something that looked as good. I never really made something that compared, but I did build a heck lotta stuff, and it got my imagination working, coming up with stories and concepts for them, and improved my building skills besides, so all that time poring over builds wasn't wasted at all. Thanks for that, Joel. Happy Holidays.
For the chest room you could've made the copper into stairs or slabs and angle then right to make it look like a full block, but it will still make it accessible!
You are a very good at Minecraft. You have inspired me to start trying new and funny things in Minecraft and you have helped my life to become better so I just want to say one thing tank you😊❤
If you ask it to write a story about anyone with an Asian-particularly Indian name- it all ways goes like this “grew up in small village in rural India…became enchanted by the wonders of technology…grew up to be IT guy or software developer”. My white name got a story about adventure and mountain climbing….it’s kinda sus 🤔
Hello, I'm watching this right before school and a big exam :D Not supposed to but, the moment I saw Joel posted this, I knew I had to put it before studying
Wow, this video was so much fun to watch! Smallish Beans, you never fail to entertain us with your amazing Minecraft builds and your witty commentary. Seeing you ask AI to build you a house in Minecraft was such a cool idea, and I loved how the AI came up with a unique and creative design. Your reactions and thoughts throughout the process were hilarious, and I couldn't help but laugh along with you. Keep up the amazing work, Smallish Beans - you truly are a talented and wholesome family vlogger on RU-vid!
hey smallish ive been watching your vids for years and i love your hardcore vids, challenges you do with other creators and i love your creative builds your amazing at them. Keep up the good work 😆
Well, I think the only reason the end result looked so good was not because of the AI's suggestions but rather because of the artistic liberties you took from them. ☺
I would adore a tutorial on this house! Don't think I've seen a tutorial video from you so I don't know if that's your style, but this house is so cute and enchanting
I think the trick is that instead of asking for the "right" answer or the "popular" answer, you should ask for "its" answer. Like, "ChatGPT, describe to me a Minecraft house that is gorgeous, original, and gets a lot of views on RU-vid."
