I asked the world's top Fortnite players how much money they earn. Follow me on Instagram: / jordanwelch Shoutout to @YourFellowArab for helping us out.
We're living in some of the craziest times in history... you got high schoolers making six figures a year playing Fortnite 😂 There's no excuse for being broke these days.
there really is this is top 0.1 percent maybe even lower. I was top 1k players and didn't make a dime on fort. even in challenger league solos and duos should ahve 2k earned on fort. I had a; scholarship and won 400$ in college events tho
I think one of the lessons here is to mix up your income streams. So tournament earnings + having a youtube channel + streaming + sponsorships + having a product to sell + affiliates and then just hyper focus on the two or three that are just overwhelmingly are the highest earners. A lot of these guys (and gals) will get the most consistent income from steaming + ad revenue building a channel. If any of those top players with a lot of followers create a course or something on how to do this full-time they may eclipse any game earnings. I made almost one million last year by doing courses (not on gaming though but I wish it was!) lol. Great video as always @JordanWelch
@@empary9698 there are many "good" content creators who are not getting the appreciation they deserve. People often wouldn't appreciate you for your "hard work"
I know a lot of friends who tried to become professional gamers (they went all in on gaming and skipped school). Out of all of these guys (probably 30+) I know one guy who actually managed to do something out of it. He is signed to a mid level professional team and makes about 50k from his org, he doesn't stream that much but could probably make more if he really wanted. The rest of them made no or very small amount of money, so they doesn't really have anything. A lot of them invested their teenage years into gaming, have no social life, no education and no real motivation for anything, a few of them even depressed. So becoming a pro gamer is not easy, and it's a very risky way, you need talent and a lot of dedication. Unfortunately most people won't make it at all, and the chance of making as much money as the guys in this video, is incredibly small.
not really about being a pro, more using gaming to make money through either being a pro and playing tournaments/streaming on twitch or any other platform, patreon, youtube etc.
@Chester Copperpot havent u watch the video ? dude made a million dollars and the average is 30k pretty sure u can retire after only 4 5 years if u choose to
I would rather aspire to create your own community on RU-vid first may it be ur first 1k subscribers and then move to twitch as well for streaming But most importantly it cant be because soly of getting money LMAO 🤣😂 Kids these days lol
@@Snowstorm1200 Seriously? You think people in the entertainment industry are the problem? People who think like YOU are the problem. Such a ignorant way to look at life.
but at the same time - crazy times, that nobody wants to "work" on the old way and just earn cash in the internet with content, etc. - sometimes feeling sad for our world...
True. But contracts, sponsorships is heavy toll. You’re a public figure that represent brands. You gotta stay relevant without hurting your image and majority of the time to get the numbers for certain sponsors will be easier being negative than it would be in a positive note. Everyone making new clips, RU-vid creators, like you’re competing in entertainment and theirs countless niche, doing the same thing. I’m not even going to touch on the connections cause that within itself everyone knows about favoritism and whatnot but the point being that fame comes with a cost. It be the ones who are closes to you that can bring you down worst. That’s why theses people hang out with other celebs or people on the same stature. They have something to lose. You have a regular joe he has everything to gain from a public figure slipping up, or something taken out of context. But gaming scene wise even with the N words, and probably much more their fan base always rock with them. Well core Atleast.
It’s literally created millions of 6 to 9 figure salaries if u count RU-vid pages influencers etc sometimes I wish I was 18 in todays time I’m 35 so I watch it everything evolve as I got older but the 2010s introduced a whole new way of life.. Prior to the 21st century u literally had to have a unique talent to even see tv screen let alone movies now there’s sooooo many different career paths
Wow nice interviews man, i expected you to only be able to interview people with 0 earnings, but everyone was so open and its great to see where gaming has gone
budy sitting down 12 hours a day only playing fortnite isent hard work go ask people that work the hard jobs and they would love to do is and make more money from it
This video shows that gaming and streaming is a career if you work hard and grind. It’s also crazy that there’s only one streamer that didn’t say 100k all the other where 100k+
@@007Junior Then explain how it's not impressive when a dumb gamer makes WAY more than basically anyone who ever went to Harvard and studied very hard for years.
Yo'ooo! As a somewhat older dude that has been in successful high-paying corporate positions for many years, this is outrageous and f$$king awesome to see!! Love watching the shift in money these days, that's what's up 😎🤙 always appreciate the content Jordan!
This is so amazing!! I homeschool and my son after school absolutely loves playing on his oculus! He plays with different people all over the world. He is very good and getting better!! Praying he will be able to do to hints like this and not have to struggle like I have financially over the years!! 😊
@@Mystix225 if you think of it it’s dumb thing at the end of the day cause what are the chances are these kids are going places while playing games and not truly working hard either studying or start a business. Video games have never been a solid income source investment so it’s a big risk wasting time playing it hoping you would earn as much as what makes you financially stable. So yes it’s a dumb thing to do to your kids.. even if they become successful in the game and manage to make it where they become financially stable and independent the life is much bigger than earning money especially other aspects in life
Every time I need inspiration to keep making content and not quit… BOOM 💥 you hit us with a killer content like this to get us inspired. I appreciate you fr Jordan 💯💪🏿
Super cool video. I also play/stream fortnite. Not competitive, but to have fun. It's cool seeing people I know on these videos lol or have been watching for a while.
Gaming is one of the easiest things to get into but probs one of the hardest to make good money from. I would recommend staying in school or at least getting a part time job and streaming on the side
Love this! Lol I was never good enough to make it pro, but I started a RU-vid channel and now earn more then lots of them. Tons of ways to have an income in this gaming world!
IN FOREX/CRYPTOCURRENCY INVESTMENT YOUR FAILURE CANT BE INSURED, AND YOUR SUCCESS ALSO CAN'T BE GUARANTEED UNTILL YOU GOT AN EXPERT TRADER WHO'S A PROFESSIONAL IN THAT VERY FIELD
It's truly remarkable how much life has changed in the last few years. Nowadays, it's totally possible for teens to hit high financial success - like earning over 100K by playing Fortnite! Opportunity is everywhere so don't miss out on your chance at getting ahead.
A skill is easy to start and hard to master, gamers are really intelligent people. It takes alot of self discovery and try and error to find out what you are really good and passionate about hence the reason for alot of people failing in a particular field which makes them to finally find which they are good at
This game is still around? 🤣 Jokes aside, it's so cool to see kids making this much money doing something they love. That's what we're all trying to do at the end of the day! Thanks for sharing Jordan!
@@staticunion9508Most of these kids have financial advisors and they have massive investment portfolios. Most of them know that this career won´t last long so they invest their money so that one day they can just sit back and relax while they pretty much earn passive income.
The thing is if u want to get numbers like these in games like fortnite etc u need too sacrifice a lot which is a huge risk and you need to get lucky with time etc
This is really cool, and I love gaming. But realistically, if everybody aspired to be a pro-gamer. Civilization would fall apart lol. I see so many ppl today trying to do this full-time.
Amen, but ur general jobs are way more overrated and most importantly unfulfilling AF 💀 I would rather try to stream fulltime to my hearts content if i was young again haha
I was considering going pro in Fortnite actually but I realized I was the biggest nerd in my friend group. I always put 100% into anything I do so I was frustrated that they didnt see it the same way as I did. After they stopped playing, the game was no fun anymore. I later realized that gaming was probably not what I wanted to make out of my life anyways. I am pursuing entrepeneurship and a solid education in molecular biology and a dash of programming. Getting rich and successful is often a lonesome road. People will tell you that you wont make it until you prove them wrong. Most people are just too afraid to take a leap of faith. Be willing to go broke when you have little to loose. You are likely to fail many times but one of those times you will hit it big. And dont buy into get rich quick schemes. There is no such thing. It takes time and dedication to get good at something. And even if you dont succeed at first, it is still valuable experience. I tried getting rich on poker. Took me 4 years until I gave up. It was okay money but the competition is really though and it is a lot more work thsn you would imagine. I then learned day trading by reading 100s of pages. It went okay but I didnt have enough money to make much. I invested in crypto. That was my first decent success. I made over a 100x on my money. It has since crashed quite a lot but I am ready for the next bull run. Then I started learning video editing, affiliate marketing, ecom, reading tons of books on various topics, taking up university. All those skills adds up. It makes you flexible and creative. I play some games for fun nowadays. I run a few small businesses. I can feel the pressure building up so to speak. I am ready to conquer the world.
the point here is that those are professional players who are fully committed.. meanwhile some kids only play for part time thinking they can make the same with less effort 🤣
