I'm from Memphis, I totally agree with your review. The used to be great when the owner was living, every item on the menu is " just okay "...my opinion

Perhaps the customers that give rave reviews haven’t had a vast array of comparable foods outside the Memphis proper.🥴

Oh man, I’m so disappointing. I was looking for the nachos to be hooked up and there are not.🤦🏽‍♀️😕 where is the lettuce is the cheese tomato sour cream, pico 🤦🏽‍♀️

I don’t know how people can’t even stay in business when the food is bland I don’t know maybe people have a different taste in food I totally get what you’re saying I don’t want bland cabbage I want sweet corn very good cornbread, candy, yams, and juicy and tender ribs. I want food with flavor specially, when you’re talking about a black restaurant maybe it’s just me but I’m very disappointing in those nachos.🥹

Thanks for the review, Darius. My mom and I just went and we read the reviews that hyped it. We are from Chicago and love rib tips (our favorites are the old Rib Palace - RIP and Carson’s Ribs). Your description of the tips being like pork pot roast was spot on. It wasn’t bad and we’re glad we went to Cozy Corner, but it wasn’t like Chicago rib tips.

Food is like beauty. It’s the opinion of the beholder. Some people like highly seasoned food. Some like it under seasoned and think it’s the bomb. I like flavor. I want to taste the smoke and the seasoning with BBQ. Most of the time you can look at food and tell what’s going on. Good or bad.

They say I can cook a lil bit... truth is they bbq spaghetti tastes like it got lysol in it to me. and the overall bbq experience there is overrated. used to be fie years ago. now... not so much. memphis folks eat food off nostalgia and not off what it actually tastes like now. But will have a line out the door for average/mediocre food. facts. i agree with this whole review chief.
