To maintain my weight at 51, I only eat one meal a day. It’s not hard, I’ve been doing omad for 2 years now. I fasted initially to lose 13 kgs, now omad is for me.

"Starving" is involuntary; fasting is voluntary; you choose it!🤓 Time restricted eating is just one type of fasting. Mammals (humans, bears) have TWO metabolic pathways and the only way to get the benefits of the second, ketosis, is to strictly limit the first, insulin/glucose. Proteins are made of amino acids (there are essential amino acids you must eat & cannot produce); fats have essential fatty acids but there is NO ESSENTIAL CARBOHYDRATE... so those are less important to your overall health - yet our current food system delivers an endless array of carbs as processed food products. So Amanda Rose's system makes good sense; time restricted eating considering proteins & fats & limiting carbs. Smart!

I've seen where many of these salads have meats, cheeses, and other dairy. How was your Cholesterol before, during, and after? Do you or have you ever taken statins?

Mine has always been pretty decent, Deb. The large bulk of what I eat is the vegetables so that’s got to help. The dairy and meat is just a choice. We have a lot of dairy-free people in the community and some completely plant-based.

My gut health is vastly improved. I used to have problems with chronic yeast through my body, but haven't had an occurrence of it in these years.

Have you heard of Grant Genereux’s hypothesis of chronic hypervitaminosis A as a factor in obesity and autoimmune disease? I wonder if you have inadvertently lowered your vitamin A intake compared to what it was prior by eating the way you do.

Ma'am i went to my primary and she tried to get me to not do this because it will mess up my thyroid. I have a healthy thyroid and i did not understand her fear and i told her i was going foward. What is your opinion on that. Do you think this Will this hurt my thyroid?

It’s not starving urself when ur fed All macros are ingested in that one to two hrs and ur body makes ketones from ur fat u want to burn up LOTS of fed going on
