You've outdone yourself Zoey! I know a lot of Indian people in your generation wouldn't go through the trouble to making their own garam masala and cottage cheese as well! We usually find it in our local stores. You worked really hard to create tandoori chicken and palak paneer. (Pro tip: always squeeze a little lemon juice on any spinach preparation. It not only develops a better flavour, the citric acid helps in absorption of iron that's present in the spinach) I also enjoy watching yours and grandma's videos because you're so accepting and appreciate all kinds of food. It's refreshing to find someone genuinely love food without being critical or nasty about the flavour or kind. Keep the positive vibes flowing! I'm looking forward to sending you an indian snack package once logistics kicks start again. ~Love from your sister in India ❤️

Hey Zoe 💙I love how open you are to eating different cuisines, plus you make everything look so good and enjoyable. I also appreciate the research you put into learning about different cuisines and even the eating cultures. It really shows the kind of person you are and makes your content even more wholesome. The only thing I would say is that most of these foods were North Indian cuisines. I’m not too sure if South Indian cuisines are available (or good) in SK because North Indian foods are more well known and served, but if it is you should check it out. My favs that you HAVE to try are Dosa and Idli. Also, I personally prefer Pakistani style Biryani over Indian Biryani, so if you have the chance, I would check that out as well because they taste different.

Most middle class Indians don’t use hands to eat rice, they’ll use a spoon or fork. South Indians may still use hands for rice as it’s deeply embedded in the culture. Roti is the staple bread, and naan for weekends or special occasions, and always eaten with hands.

Whole spices are roasted for few minutes in a dry pan before grinding them to make garam masala (at least my mother does) to extinguish the raw flavour. It's my first seeing a foreigner (since I am an Indian; no intention of being rude or insulting) willing to divulge so much into Indian cuisine and spending so much effort to research and cook the dishes herself. It's really heartwarming. Believe me guys it's really not so easy to make those dishes as it may seem especially if you are making it for the first time. (My first time cooking experience of trying complicated Indian main course was really shameful😖😢) Hats off to your hardwork!! Lots of love from India❤❤❤!
