I'm 74 and went carnivore eight months ago after a lifetime of pain and suffering. What a difference! I've been extremely strict, beef, water, salt, very occasional chicken or bacon. Even eggs and butter didn't sit well with me. Two days ago, I saw a small bar of 100 percent chocolate in the store. No sugar or fake sugars. I used to eat a ton of chocolate every day. I thought I'd test it. I ate two squares. I'm now on day three of most of my joints feeling sprained and muscle strength greatly depleted. Bit by bit I'm feeling better. No need to repeat this experiment. The rest of the chocolate bar went in the trash where it belongs. Today I saw some nachos. I heard myself say, "It's not food." I walked past them and felt good about it.
Congratulations I'm inspired by your story especially at your age. Keep up the great work I too will silently repeat "it's not food" when I see all the stuff I was addicted to in the past and that I had to have
@@JulzCali2020 Thanks! I appreciate your comment about my age. I'm witnessing my peers dropping like flies and it ain't pretty. Yesterday alone, one woman I know went under the knife for a brain tumor removal. A man I know underwent triple bypass surgery. And the rest of their lives will be filled with pills and suffering. Once I experienced carnivore, I decided to go all out. Most people my age are winding down and getting more and more enmeshed in the gears of the medical machinery. I don't want that demise. Carnivore is good at any age. It's vital at mine!
@@panamafred1 I got my elderly dad started on carnivore. He's feeling great. Getting him to drink more water too which he hates. He was also addicted to fiber supplements like psyllium because his sister, who was quite intelligent but was misinformed by the mainstream literature, told him it was necessary to have long stools. He's feeling great and healthy He's one week in and is going to continue for as long as possible. He especially feels good without the sugar his joints still ache though. I'm hoping those pains ease over time Just have to keep at it and boom eventually the body recovers see
@@JulzCali2020 Congrats to your father! I think that as we get older and older we need a bit more time on carnivore to reverse the years of wrong eating. Even at eight months I'm still regaining health. Three months is minimal for us seniors. But I'm never going back!
I always tell my patients to look for information for themselves as doctors have been trained to write prescriptions. I am a consultant physician and I am horrified when I talk to diabetic patients and they have no idea why they are diabetic and that diabetes is reversible. Most of the patients that I see now in the clinic are prediabetic and they do not even know that they are. I do not hang out with other doctors as I find a lot of them with no capacity for independent thinking.
My daughter came down sick over the weekend 105 fever heart rate shot up to 175 The fucking doctors saw this and said ok go have a seat in the waiting room. Did not give her a single thing or do jack shit. After 3 hours they sent her to the childs hospital. Guess what...same thing temp was 104 and heart rate 140 at that time. They wrote a couple bullshit prescriptions and sent us on our way To end the story....i didnt give her any of the shit they gave...i womt say what i did...but she no longer has a fever and heart rate is back to normal. Its been 5 days and shes back to normal except her voice isnt back yet. But she feels fine. Honestly afyer the 2 days in the hospital this weekend and the complete shit show i seem. Fuck doctors
True, I had a pain in my arm for 2 weeks and it was 24/7 and was getting worse by the day. I went to a "doctor" and he said i'll have to take these tablets for the rest of my life. I thought that was BS and a friend suggested a chiropractor. He cracked my back and neck and instantly the pain decreased by half. He said walk around for at least an hour and over the next few days the pain will go and by 2 days it was completely gone. Some docs are useless
I also discovered carnivore after being desperate to heal myself, I’ve been super sick and disabled since 2008, I’ve been carnivore for six months, I am 100% healed, I’m working again, going to the gym again, riding my motorcycle🙌🏻🙏🏼 I was so skeptical, but it’s the best thing I’ve ever done
59, IBS, brain fog, lethargic and cranky. Two weeks into carnivore diet, no IBS, can't remember a time when my mind was so clear, heaps of energy (doing job's around house I have put off for years). And I feel happy. Something real is happening 👍🏼
I'm 60 and doing the Keto diet. I've cut out processed foods like pasta, bread, sugar, rice and beans. I still eat salmon, fruit, veggies, beef, bacon and chicken. I also started working out, again, a few weeks ago. I feel super strong and I'm starting to see some muscle growth. If only I could stop drinking beer, BEER aaaaaaaa!
Congratulations bud. I'm 74 and have been carnivor for 3 years. I just wish I would have woken up when I was your age. But better late than ever I guess. All of my health issues have resolved. And the bald spot on the back of my head has filled in. I ate the slow death "foods" for 71 years!! Never again.
I ate the standard bad foods for sixty years! But no longer. I'm really starting to feel much better. I'm down 125 pounds, but I still need to lose about 45 more pounds.
Yep. I'm down 85lbs. Reversed type 2 diabetes and hypertension and even remove an eyeglasses requirement from my driver's license. I do more a Ketovore approach as I do coffee and sometimes peanut butter and occasionally some avacado or grean leafy foods. I feel like insulin is the key. But some people also have major reactions to any plants and more and more, meat is going up in my diet while the other things are becoming less. Just eat what makes you better. And obviously, alcohol is horrible for your body. I wish it wasn't, but it is.
@@Stevie10Gunshot I did not see any hair change on my head, however I did see much more hair on my arms and legs. I had zero hair on my legs and very fine hair on my arms over the last several years prior to heavy meat keto based diet. Now my hair on both arms and legs is as it was 20 years ago. I personally think this is because of better circulation. Also much more free testosterone.
Absolutely this fixes issues. Diabetes, hypertension, arthritis, IBS, mental clarity. For women it helps with their cycle. It even helped me with shrinking optic nerve and sight issues. I also lost 85 lbs. 60 years old, no medications now at all. This absolutely works.
Rumenant means " animals that have rumens". They digest the plants 2 or 3 times and get rid of the antinutrients in that way. That is why they produce the purest nutrients. Well done, I experience the same benefits and the same pitfalls.
I’ve just instinctively & intuitively come back to this. I used to just eat meat for years. Folks would be like "what are you having for dinner?” - me "beef sausages” - them "& what else?” - me “just all these sausages” 😮😂
I find the most difficult part of a carnivore diet is all the criticism you get from others at meal time. Excuse me, but it's my body. Why do they care what I eat? It's really none of anybody else's business.
Ive had restless leg syndrome for ages. Two weeks into the carnivore diet and its completely gone. I couldnt believe how relaxed my legs where. So this is what its like to be normal.
Same here. 7 years of opioid drugs just so I could sleep. RLS so severe I would violently jerk in my “sleep” and either bite my tongue or crush my nuts! Fucking horrible syndrome. Carnivore two years now. No more RLS or drugs and just a host of other health benefits! A real life changer for me.
Congrarts, well done video. I am in my 5 year of carnivore, started in my 70. I wish I knew about it when I was your age. I have no health issues anymore, not taking any medications. See my doctor yearly only for regular checkups. My blood work is ideal. Stick with this lifestyle, now it will be easy.
I just hit 2 months being a full on carnivore and absolutely love how I feel! My son suggested it to me to help with how horrible I had been feeling and I'm so grateful he did. Thanks for sharing your story with us, it's crazy how similar it is to mine, God bless you mate!
Same with me on keto. People would say "you're gonna gain that weight back when you start eating what you used to again" and I'm like WHY would I EVER eat that way again now that I know how good you feel when you cut those things out? And it's like they're blind to a truth sitting right in front of them: yes, I will be fat and diseased if I eat what I used to... Which is what theyre eating. But they wanna say "well, I eat healthy enough" clearly they don't. I won't be lectured about health, nutrition and diet by someone who eats pizzas, pies, cereals and candy bars and says that eating a side salad once in a while is a healthy diet
What surprised me being on carnivore diet is how deep is my sleep is right now. I go to bed around 11 PM and and I’m gone within minutes (less than 5). I have to wake up at 5:30 AM, but my body wakes up right before the alarm. I feel rested. I get up right away and I do not feel sleepy or groggy. My energy level is high. I do not have to wake up to pee like I used to. Today, I slept through entire night without waking up. Incredible and it will only get better. I have to add something. I was on Keto for over 12 months, but I see the biggest improvement once I eliminated fiber and dairy from my diet. I may try to eat cheese at some point to see if it causes some problems.
I sleep deeper, and don't have to pee at night if I cut out simple carbs, sugar, and alcohol, stick to meat, salad, veggies. Huge difference in sleep quality.
Hi tipitoe what times are you eating? What size portions are you having ? Sleep is a big thing for me............ATB.............Blessings....................
I enjoyed hearing about your experience. I did strict carnivore for two months, and boy did I feel much better. I'd consider myself dirty carnivore now. I'm 90% carnivore. There are times I just want some avocado or another vegetable, and I do use spices. But it's a huge improvement over what I used to eat! Have a great day
@@cossettegonzalez627 Avocado has some carbs but even more healthy fats. I put it in the same category as extra virgin olive oil. Good stuff in moderation.
The efficacy of the carnivore diet is undeniable, but it's also undeniable that humans can be fine with plants in their diet too, because 'all of human history' is evidence. The real issue (as you've pointed out) is the horrendous amounts of crap that we've been shovelling into our digestive tract for the last several decades.
That should read, 'all of human RECORDED history'. Almost all plants in the wild are poisonous. Those that we eat today have been hybridized etc. to be palatable and safe. What plants prehistoric humans could eat were very few, and ate them only when meat wasn't available. Plant foods that were edible such as some fruits were only available at the end of a growing season for a few weeks maximum. The rest of the time was meat and fasting in between until the agricultural revolution relatively recently when plants were hybridized and cultivated.
@@johnc.8298 Your'e just agreeing with me. I'm all for the carnivore way of eating, but being dogmatic about NOT eating plants is just stupid. Even more so today when (as you point out) plants have been bred to BE more digestible. The idea that humans 50,000 years ago were selective about what they ate is just moronic. They did not have the luxury of choice, for the most part.
@Emmanuelle Rodriguez it was do interesting reading your comment. I had been against a carnivore diet all my life thinking that we need fibre. I went on keto for about 5 months on and off but felt something was causing me inflammation. After my back surgery in June I eat rubbish ad you do as it started in hospital. I decided to give carnivore a try and can relate to every positive thing you say about it. Even though I am not O blood group this is the food for me to eat. I don't it till midday and no later than 5pm. Thete is no wind no gas no inflammation no bloating. Even if I don't live to be a 100 I want quality life. Where do you reside?
This 8 minutes video make more sense to me than those doctors whom I consulted to. IBS, leaky gut, SIBO, brain fog, depression, trembling and chest pain huh! My life was hell. I love my life now it is beautiful thanks to Dr Paul Saladino. Thanks for sharing your story. Carnivore diet is the best diet in the world.
Whole food plant-based diet is the most compassionately logical choice but that's not to say that a properly done carnivore diet won't heal or help you but maybe think about it like this... a man checks his bank account and sees that he has $250 in his account but he has $400 in bills so he quickly is brought to the reality that his bank has plenty of money in its vault so the man promptly goes home dresses in his "SWAT" gear that he's had since the army 10 years ago along with the other tactical gear that he feels would be conducive for the heist but on his return to the bank he came to his senses and realized that it was a horrible idea because it was obviously stealing and putting everyone in a precarious situation as well as jeopardizing his children's future with him. This is just a random little scenario but similarly this is how we act entitled to kill steal and destroy these innocent creatures so we can more easily get there vitamins and minerals that the animals have collected over a period of time. No hate intended here, just food for thought. I have nothing but love for y'all
@Michael G as an aspiring genuine Christian I've received a commandment to do as to others as I would have them do unto myself along with the awareness that I reap what I have sown, Christ is the final and only worthy blood sacrifice for the true merciful believer. It is written, mercy for mercy. 🙏🏻 I don't see the logic in the slaughtering of animals that are living their best life. If that were true then it would be more justifiable to raise them inhumanely and then the slaughtering of them would seem like an act of mercy.
I have Crohn's disease for something like 19 years now and I have noticed that I only need to eat one steak (red, medium rare or rare)(or 2 😁) a night and I'm good to go. Barely any pain very minimal flair ups no more acid reflux and I'm regular everyday. I have tried many different meds and herbals over the years and meat is the only thing that worked so well and so fast to actually fix my gut. I could probably get rid of all pain and symptoms if I ate only meat but I love to eat and I cant stop myself😁 night and day for me as well !! The medication that your doctor will prescribe does NOT make you better it keeps you in a stagnant state so you keep buying there BS medication, I stopped taking the docs meds 3 months after i was diagnosed!!! Shawn Baker is a truly good man that actually cares about the well being of people !!!
You are very motivating. I am 70 years old, and I've been keto for 4 years. I keep thinking I want to try carnivore, but it is such a major life change. And my family and friends think I am losing my mind when I talk about it. My husband pretty much went keto with me, but no way he will do carnivore. So I have to be willing to go it alone, but you have made me get excited about the prospect.
My wife buys my favourite chocolate bars, bakes awesome banana bread, muffins, pancakes..... I’ve been ketovore for 4 months now. Flip her the bird. I’m doing this for me.
Also check out the steak and butter gal, she has a great youtube and a gang that you can join that has huge support group. I'm starting her challenge the beginning of December. I'm carnivore and feel better than keto for sure, it's much easier.
I had doubts, but honestly the difference between keto and carnivore is like the difference between fast food and keto. My energy levels and mental clarity are beyond anything I’ve ever experienced before. The only exception I have right now is coffee, and I am considering not drinking it either just to see if it makes a difference.
I was suffering with the SAME issues as you dude! Yes, when you become desperate to get well you will do ANYTHING. I went carnivore, ruminant grass fed meats, eggs, bacon and butter. My gut issues cleared, my terrible allergies have subsided 95%, my terrible joint pain has FINALLY faded. Surprize ! Even my anxiety and depression has COMPLETELY disappeared. I am off ALL PRESCRIPTION MEDS. After 9 months I try ONE food item to see how I react. So far the only item I have been able to add is Nori sushi paper.
Try growing your own food and send good energy to it lol, idk if you seen people fermenting different ways by yelling at one jar and saying I love you to the other
Have to say fair play to you for taking the challenge as there are so so many that would not do it. I am 4 years strict carnivore and I will never eat another carb ever again. All the problems that you mentioned I had along with being over weight. I do one meal a day and I am never hungry. I have never been as healthy and fit in my entire life. So fair play to you for doing it and reaping the benefits too.
Thank you sooo much! I started carnivore (again) on 10Oct, and it was going well until I went out with friends two days ago. I had two tacos on corn tortillas and a handful of tortilla chips, in spite of knowing corn causes me issues, and sure enough, joint pain and intestinal distress came back within hours. Your video is just the kick in the butt I needed to get back on track. A couple tacos and some chips are not worth a week (or a lifetime) of pain and illness.
The thing I've found from doing carnivore after several months is that I felt so damn good all the time that it was easy to slip and say..."cake & ice cream?...sure, won't bother me".....but the effects from something so innocent was anything but benign. Due to the change of bacteria in the intestinal tract It takes time to accept that you can't have your "cake" and eat it too... without consequences.
There must be some genetic cause behind this since your reaction sounds so typical of people with these problems. Like celiac disease or something. I am lucky since I can eat any food without problems. I eat good food though, minimal processed crap. lots of fruit and vegetables and meat and eggs. I have recently in the last year drastically reduced carbs from the diet.
Been on a carnivore diet since January 2nd 2020 and in tge best health of my life. Meat, eggs, dairy and seafood. No vegetables, fruit, grains, legumes, sugar or toxic seed oils. Still drink some coffee now and then and use some stevia, allulose, monkfruit and erthyritol and drink the odd bit of alcohol (red wine, craft beer, sherry and brandy).
The thing is, we eat garbage from such a young age. Many of us have never really experienced real health and real clarity. We get deprived of the good feelings. The only way we get to experience something similar are drugs. Hence, we’re drawn to drugs (caffeine, alcohol, sugar, video games, porn, you name it). The transition to carnivore can be difficult because of these unnatural dependencies. But it is wonderful once you manage to do it.
Carnivore for 21 months now and my body is still changing and healing... I absolutely agree. It's the best thing I've ever done. I'm 58 years and handicapped, I'm better, than I was at 30. Well done, keep it up 😘
I also am 58 and handicapped from a stroke 15 yrs. ago. Been doing Keto for 6 months and down 45 pounds. Just started strict carnivore 10 days ago. Body is also still changing and healing! Shooting for a 90 day stint!
Definitely going to look into this, currently experiencing a massive autoimmune flare up and feel like the constant merry go round of doctors with no answers isn't getting me anywhere. Appreciate the experience based info, it's super interesting!
Jess Jess, please do. I´m doing carnivore with my husband for almost a year now and we never felt better. Everything this guy says is true. I even bought Shawn Baker´s book and learned so much from it. Please, if you have any autoimmune issue, this is the right thing for you.
Jess Jess, Think about it this way, let's imagine you had a couple of drinks per day for 3 months, or somked a pack of cigarretes per day for 3 months, well, almost nothing you do for 3 monthsd will kill you, just give it a try for 1 month, if you can´t take it, you will lose nothing, just get an order of french fries and be done with it. But if your autoimmune clears during that frst month you will not stop. Good luck.
Such a great video! Straight to the point & comical. 🙌🏻😆 I’m on day 48 of the carnivore diet & feel incredible! I’m also an ex vegan of 5 years. Never in a million years would I have thought I’d be on this journey. But it has healed my gut issues & PCOS. I encourage everyone to give it a go!
Thanks so much! I’m so glad to hear that you’re thriving. There’s no way I thought I would be only eating meat either but my life has completely changed doing so! 🥩🙏
I’m on day 10 . Already Feel amazing , joint pains gone , constant clear energy, skins better, dandruff gone, gums healthier. Are you going to continue the diet ? Seems like you have had great success so far.
@@puhacz4271 different people tolerate different things. Try and see. If you have to really cut you can go to ruminants like beef/lamb/bison only. I like cream but can't have milk. I like egg yolks but whites upset my stomach. YMMV
@@jsnell126 been doing keto (high fat low carb) for 2 weeks. My dandruff on my eyebrows and hair has almost fully vanished. I’m not even strict with it, consuming around 25-30g of carbs per day, no bad sugars though. My skin has also improved, but I’m not sure I have SD. I am taking oregano pills to treat potential SIBO/Rosacea, doing good
this is a fantastic and concise review of the carnivore diet, and exactly the type of video i'd want to use to convince any friends or family who might be interested. coming from an average everyday person who isn't trying to sell anything, talking about 90 days instead of 30 which i think is better but still more doable than "you need to do this for years and years", keeping it super simple overall but still referencing other carnivore content creators for people who want to look more into it themselves. thank you for sharing your experience :)
I had some of the same experiences you shared. Was strict on carnivore for two months I thought I'd "treat" myself to spaghetti and meatballs, and the next day felt horrible! And another time where I thought I'd celebrate with a few drinks (Grey Goose as well), and the hangover was one of the worst. Carnivore just works.
@@masonmillevoi4485 Two things: 1. It removes all the processed shit. 2. It removes vegetables which are contaminated with pesticides. 3. It is a ketogenic diet. So on top of avoiding lots of inflammatory foods, your body starts producing ketones which are anti-inflammatory pseudo-hormones. Theyre probably the reason carnivore helps mental health issues. People with mental health issues have inflamed brains. No one knows if its the cause or an effect of being mentally ill. Ketones though? They cross the blood brain barrier and reduce inflammation there as well.
im 17 i started carnivore in like july to help with my acne, i started with just red meat and it started to improve, tried reintroducing eggs and butter, but it broke me out and went on a couple months hoping it was just a purging phase but was still breaking out. So I've been pure (just red meat) for the last 3 weeks and have had the clearest skin of my life. The inflammation just rapidly disappeared it was incredible
i am carnivore too, 6month now, i drink maybve once a month or all two month, stricktly no added sugars to the mix, mainly Vodka or Gin, very little lime juice and monkfruit/etheritol to my taste with crushed ice or a put it in a blender to make it slushy. i eat one meal a day until i am saturated but i widen my palete with butter, egs and bulletproof coffee..if it works for you do what you want
A great video, simple and to the point! I don't force this way of eating on anyone because it isn't for everyone but I am so excited about what it has done for me so I chat about it a lot. Issues that I thought were just a part of being morbidly obese were gone in a month. I've had scalp inflammation for longer than I could remember and was shocked with those painful pimple like bumps were just gone one day. Not to count weight loss, no more sugar cravings, joint pain, better sleep, and so much more.
You mentioned similar outcome to chaffee's results. Dabbling in certain things trigger ill effects. Very interesting. Back to the basics. If it doesn't feel good don't eat it. Butter bob blew my mind a few months ago. Croissant guy as well. Dabble in all the things. Give them a go. I'm semi carnivore at the moment. I'm going more and more meat eggs dairy only.
Thanks, excellent presentation without making any absurd claims. You just told your experience and left it at that. So many other diet pundits advise and wildly embellish on their facts, especially the plant and bug diet proponents. I had dangerously high triglycerides for years and switched to a low carb/high fat type of diet brought my total cholesterol and triglycerides down to where they are not even a concern today. Thankfully I never had any auto-immune issues that ever were known.
Thanks for sharing, and glad to hear of your health improvements. I've been 90% carnivore for 4 months and experienced similar benefits, primarily improvements in mood and mental health. It's unfortunate this dietary regime doesn't have more coverage in the mainstream media.
Last thing the mainstream media wants is us consuming more meat and living longer. I'm not deep into conspiracies, but influential interest groups would rather the masses eat cricket chitin and die young, so a quality life eating grass fed beef would be more sustainable for the elites.
Thanks for sharing. I’ve been considering going completely carnivore for a while now.. I’ve been on a ketovore type diet for about a year and a half and have lost over 100 pounds. My A1c is a normal range since the beginning of the diet.. Thanks to your video I’ve decided to go forward for the next 90 days carnivore.
Gary - so how's it been going doing carnivore for the last couple months? I switched over 11 days, going also for 90 days. Feel different already! Good luck to you also!
Great video. I like how you brought up establishing a reference point, if everyone did this they would know what is the right things to eat for them even when they stray.
Great, funny & concise video. I've just started eating the carnivore diet, after eating only plant based food for 8 & 1/2 years, this is a huge shift for me, but I'm hoping to heal quite a list of issues too. All the best with the rest of your journey. Thanks for sharing.
Excellent video, same boat, sibo, autoimmune, ibd. Couple tries at carnivore, now I'm sold. Starting the steak and butter gals challenge and gang in December.
First of all congrats on your healing Scotty and thank you so much for sharing your very recognizable story. Started my carnivore colitis healing journey a few days ago and success stories like yours and the ones in the comments are highly motivational.
I’m so glad to hear you’ve found this way of eating as well and this video could have assisted with that. Best of luck on your journey and your healing, I can’t wait to hear how much your health is transformed!
Been trying it for a month now, and many pains are going away. I can't wait to attain my ideal weight and start jogging again like I used to when I was young. Thanks for your video , I give me a bit more encouragement to continue.
This is so inspiring. I’ve tried multiple times like you and then I started again at the beginning of December. I deal with Alopecia which is a hair loss condition .. the body attacks the hair follicle. I have other inflammation issues and I’m sure leaky gut. I feel so excited to keep going on the lion diet.
I wouldn't do this myself, but good on ya'! My wife and I started the "paleo" diet again 3 wks. ago, I don't like the restrictions on fruit, veg., and stuff like cheese. I've had skin and auto-immune disorders for years, and the paleo diet is working for us. My skin is clearing up already, my pants are looser, I've been running on my treadmill faster than I ever have. Just remember the beef we have today isn't the animals our ancestors were eating. Good job!!
I have the same symptoms as you but I'm in my 60s and been struggling for 20 years. Just started carni 3 weeks ago, it is hard to get my head around so much fat when we have been taught wrongly that fat is bad. The 'health' industry which should be renamed the 'disease' industry doesn't want us to get well because there is no money in it for them, they want to keep pushing bad food, drugs etc on us so they can become rich. I wish I had come across this sooner, but better late than never.
@@Antipodean33 I don’t work out anything, maybe I might have to if things don’t go well. So far, I cook in butter, try to get really fatty cuts of meat, and I eat butter as a snack. If you haven’t already, check out Steak and Butter Gal on here, there is another which I will add in an edit, who does recipes also. 5 minute body is the other one on RU-vid. Hope this helps, good luck. Edit again, Laura Spath on here is great also.
Great video on carnivore. Congrats on 3 months and also on sharing the honest reactions your body had when you strayed back to eating stuff you ate before before
I'm 60 and doing the Keto diet. I've cut out processed foods like pasta, bread, sugar, rice and beans. I still eat fish, fruit, veggies, cheese, beef, bacon and chicken. I also started working out, again, a few weeks ago. I feel super strong and I'm starting to see some muscle growth. If only I could stop drinking beer, BEER aaaaaaaa!
@@scottybrizzle Thanks Scott. My last beer was on 2/16/23. Hopefully I can keep it going permanently. Being sober is weird though. The days are super long and I get a ton of things done. Plus I'm not tired all of the time.
I've have very similar health issues to what you had, & have been struggling to get off my addiction to lots of sugar in my coffee & to get on a serious meat only diet, so its encouraging to hear a success story from a fellow Aussie. Thank you!
I started carnivore with IF in early July (now early Nov). Since I remain sated longer, I routinely only eat 1-2 meals per day. Often when I eat out (restaurants are happy to alter the meal to high protein/low carbs for me), I often eat only half and take the rest home. I've always remained active, so just made my workout regimen more intense. Started at 20.9% body fat, now down to 11.5%. Feel great, and my wardrobe fits again; others have noticed. 👍😊
That's good you did for 90 days plus hopefully continuing, what people who want weight loss, it takes awhile to get fat adapted, even if you feel good for 90 days, it can potentially take up to six months. That's why carnivore isn't a fad or a quick way to lose weight. EVERYONE when changing diets will plateau, but you have to keep at it.
Yep! I started carnivore this February for mental health, didn't care about weight loss at all. But at about the 6-7 month mark my body composition started changing. And then all of a sudden I was interested in exercising for the first time in my life. Again, not for weight loss but because it just felt so good walking and hiking.
Excellent commentary! Thanks for speaking out on carnivore. It makes sense to me. I've listen to people that you mentioned. I stumbled on the carnivore diet after I was craving meat and letting veggie rot in my fridge. LOL I suppose I was having a premonition.
Great vid man, one thing I've done with this diet is take Yakult daily, it helps me personally to take probiotics and I notice a difference in mood/gut issues instantly
Great video. I feel like every time I give a personal testimonial to someone who clearly needs to hear it, they just wind up hating me. People are so quick to complain about aches, pains and illness. But they’re never eager to get to work and try to fix the problem. You e done a nice job hear of providing not only your own experience but in offering expert references (Chaffee, Baker). They are great resources! Thanks for the video.
Glad to hear it works for you. I'm a type 1 diabetic for 25 years. Keto/carnivore has been great for me. Lowered my A1c from 8.5 to 5.9 and use about 1/3 the insulin. Anyone (almost everyone) eating SAD has health issues. Maybe they dont know it now.....but unfortunately you will.
High fat carnivore healed my never ending eating disorder. I got caught it when I was a teenager and was feeling very hopeless about it. As soon as I removed all the carbs out of my diet and replace it with saturated fat and animal food, it's just gone. My brain has changed. I'm on carnivore for 7 months and never has relapsed since then.
Dude, your video is right to the point and very Informative. I find that if I eat Carnivore before bed during my work week that my sleep is better vs having a "Carb-Fest" (I work shift work, 3 am till 3 pm). I've dabbled with Carnivore myself but never really have been super strict. Your video maybe be the catalyst that I've needed. Also: The clip art is amazing... appreciate the SS Goku 😀
Listen , ONE WEEK on only meat , salt , water and weaning off coffee . I can not believe the results . Warmth in knees and ankles that were stiff and painful . MUCH less pain ! This is UNBELIEVABLE ! I'm soooo grateful to now know .
Great video and info! As a medical provider the hardest part of my day is trying to educate patients and get them away from sugar, grains, seed oils and processed foods. People think their cholesterol/heart attack/stroke risks will go up but, in fact, they go down. The Food Pyramid is the worst recommendation humanity could have ever created. If you have chronic pain, you MUST try carnivore for two months and you’ll feel much better. Good job!
Fuggin heeeell mate I teared up at the start when you were describing your symptoms - sooo happy for you & your healing. I’m just beginning carnivore myself
Well done mate. 👏 Healed yourself, made a few vids .... and helped so many others into the bargain. When the current health care business model relies on profit from pills and keeping us sick aided and abetted by big food and other had actors, you are demonstrating what I consider true health care. When tptb fail us so conspicuously and couldn't care less you are showing that we all have the power to heal ourselves.
I'm a year in now. I'm just glad I stopped bleeding when I crapped. Lots of other things have resolved, including clicking knees and anxiety. I'll still have dark chocolate occasionally. My first 3 months were strict beef, butter, black coffee, water. Cut coffee in April and haven't looked back. So happy to see more people finding this way of life. It is legit. Not to mention, that what I spend on food is a fraction of what it used to be.
I am 63, started the carnivore diet 5 weeks ago. Skin clearing up, joint pain gone, better sleep, feeling happier, more energy, etc. So far I have eaten eggs and bacon for breakfast and one cup of coffee with Cream. Later in the afternoon beef our grond beef. Results are there, but you inspired me to go beef salt and water only, the coming week. Curious to find out how that will fasten the weight loss.
I'm 21 and this diet reduced anxiety, brain fog, mysterious allergic symptoms (hives and post shower itch) and neck pain (I believed was because of a muscle imbalance) and reduced my need for sleep. My worry is how my body will react if I decide to get off the diet.
That’s great to hear! But when reintroducing foods just go for the least reactive for you whatever that may be and in small amounts and see how you go.
LoL I wish I was 23 and trying it. I wouldn't be rushing back to introducing anything. I drank some whiskey last night. Normally it would be fine but the brand I had last night has sugar syrup blended in. I woke up today and tears were dripping down my face tickling my beard. I was like wtf is this. And my cough was back as bad as ever. I look like crap. This is how I felt everyday before. I thought I had black mould or smoke in my eyes before. But that's the sugar causing my eyes to tear up like that. That's crazy.
I love your anecdotal evidence and give it more clout than any of the "modern science" out there today, that's tainted by money. Great presentation, love the video!
*I’m animal based 440lbs to 300lbs on my way to 250lbs lean.* I eat red meat (grass fed), oysters, salmon, sardines, liver, pasture raised eggs, ghee, butter, raw milk, etc. Sometimes I’ll have a steak sandwhich or pizza (no seed oils - made with butter). Since you’re slim I would recommend raw milk too. The carbs in it are fine. Make sure you’re switching between red meat and fish to help keep things fresh.
Glad you feel better. I quit potatoes and I felt a lot better. Then I learned about nightshades and realized how whenever I ate them I always felt terrible. Like my gut area was on fire. A life time of feeling bad went away within a couple of days of quitting potatoes. Maybe one day I'll quit dairy... Cause that's all that bothers me still that I've noticed.
I love ur sense of humour am almost 4months in and diabetes & thyroiditis under full control on very little dose of medication, still working on my myestania gravis though
Awesome! I am doing 90% carnivore for the last two years. My brain fog is gone, joint pain is gone, I gained muscles and I am not chronically cold anymore, my eczema cleared out, mood became stable and no panic attacks as I used to experience. Keep promoting. Meat is the way to have healthy and smart humans. Veganism it's to keep you weak and sick forever!
I like scientific information like from Dr. Bika (?), or leading by the perfect example like Dr. Chaffey; and I am sure that they are needed. But this „I’m just a dude who tried something“-video really motivates me on my own carnivore journey. And I honestly think, you did something to make the world a better place. Thanks a lot 🙏
Since I started carnivore diet, bloodsugar is stable. After eating there is no food coma with meat and fat. You just go on with your day. I now usually eat a light breakfast 07:00 Coffe and pumpkinseeds, sunflowerseeds and coconut. then 13:00 lunch/dinner Grinded meat, eggs, fat. Delicious and keeps you full all day until bedtime. Fantastic diet. Just try it.
Lion diet for three months after that I continued and added , beets , sauerkraut , horseradish , bacon , eggs , and I feel great ! I made the change in 2020 and haven't looked back .
Unrelated to the video because I do dabble in anecdotes of the carnivore diet, but props for manually captioning your video. I can understand you but I appreciate the effort
Have you given up alcohol for good now? I'm not a heavy drinker anymore but still enjoy a social occasion now and then. Have been flirting with carnivore diet for a couple of years and feel better when im in ketosis so am on day 2 of carnivore now and in full ketosis. Fingers crossed my muscle and joint pains go away and my brain fog and dizziness. Cheers legend.
