@@Ghost19_ Not sure if I can describe it very well, but basically, when you turn a side, the pieces all go in a circle, so they make it so that the pieces are all rounded to fit that circle perfectly. imo if you know how to solve a 5x5 or 6x6, you're pretty much all set. if you know how to create centers, edges, and fix oll parity you can think of the 21x21 as a larger version of a 5x5/6x6

Hey John You can do it with only 5x5x5 knowledge if you also learn center commutators, plus doing the ring thing he showed in the video including bringing the other pieces for the bar from the previous rings down for easier insertion helps a lot with larger puzzles like this.

@JPerm

I might try a cube simulator! Also it would definitely be slower to reassemble than to just solve. It would be harder to find the right piece, I still only solve one piece at a time. In my solve I average about 9-10 seconds per piece solved, and reassembling would take so much longer than that to get a piece to attach.

Yeah, that's the original reason I bought a speedcube. Not because I really wanted to get fast at solving it, but just because it's so much more pleasant and smooth to turn than a cheap Rubik's cube.

The way I solve the last 2 centers on bigger cubes like 7x7+ is by switching rows with few right pieces with rows that have many correct pieces. Especially in the beginning, it's more efficient than commutator the larger the cubes get. After it's no longer possible to solve pieces intuitively like that, I use commutators

Words cannot describe your persistance to spend over 6 entire hours of nonstop turning (and pop fixing). This is what encourages me to keep on going when solving big rubik's cubes myself. Also, I just want to ask where you bought that cube from and how much it costs. I really enjoy solving big cubes from how time consuming and endurance-testing it is. I haven't seen any more videos of you solving the 21x21 though, and I was wondering if you would still play with it. It has been my dream to solve such a big cube like a 21x21, and I was wondering if I could buy it off you for a decent price (you may know that cubes as big as these can become very expensive, being around 1500 american dollars). I do understand if you do not accept this deal, so I would also like to ask where is the best platform to buy big rubik's cubes.
