chirstene, to explain the ending with the alternate timeline jaiden actually lost to the elite 4 the first time she battled them during the stream, that's why there were glitches of an alternate timeline where jaiden and her team looked defeated when she lost, she held a poll on the chat on whether she should try again, and they voted yes so the second time she challenged the elite 4, she won just like in the video the last part was like a little easter egg for those who watched the stream
@@XxSoKKurxX Yeah, she lost and considered it a loss but she asked chat if she should try again and like 70% said yes so she did (P.S: Anybody who gets mad over that needs to stop. It's a self imposed challange on a children's game lmao)
Explanation about the second jaiden thing: When she was playing on stream she lost to the elite four( a half of the team to bertha, the second E4 member, and her remaining team was too weak to fight flint, the third E4 member. She held a poll on the chat, asking should she give up or should she break the rules and restart from her last save. It was really close to her birthday so the chat decided to give her a permission to restart (they didn't want to ruin her mood and gifted her a second chance). She made it on her second try. As you can see, in this video she showed that she actually feels guilt for restarting, and thinks that she doesn't actually deserve this ending. She decided to make an epic and dramatic piece of lore out of this instead of straight up saying "im a loser cuz i had to restart."
Cynthia isn’t a bad person since Pokémon developers never intended for their players to pretend their Pokémon are dead. Cynthia is actually one of the better characters in the franchise IMO. 😅
when its comes to pokemon champions she is the hardest to exist, but the strongest opponent is Red from soulsilver the dude has mega strong pokemon, way more over leveled than any other trainer, and the strongest pikachu to exist in game
Agreed she's my favourite champion. I've never played a sinnoh game yet but I'm really looking forward to fighting her when I obtain Brillaint Diamond 💛🖤
@@gothicsloth4552 phhhhhffft good luck that's about all I can say cus i faught her with my darkrai who was lvl 43 against her garchomp and she kicked my ass
Yes, Turt's final evolution known as Torterra is known as the continent pokemon. As to why they have tree's on their back to represent nature. Which is cool because Torterra has a dual Grass and Ground type.
Spoilers about the end. In case you were wondering about the end, Jaiden lost to the 2nd E4 member and chat let her restart. Amazing storytelling. Edit: woah thanks for all the likes 😁
Cynthia's kind of a mentor throughout your journey, and she's known as being the hardest champion in any Pokémon game. I love her design and story, and she still remains my favorite champion since she was the first one I ever fought as a child.
Christine, all Torterras are born with trees on their shells after they evolve, like Venasaur, after Ivysaud evolves into Venasaur, its born with a giant plant tree flower.
I don't think it was a glitch that she got Crits a lot. Battling in Pokémon does have some RNG elements to them. It's why the same attack the first time can do a little damage and a lot the next time (not even being a crit). In fact, she had a really good example of this in her Pokémon Ruby Nuzlocke when her Tentacruel died because the opponent got a low damage roll on the first attack and a high roll on the second. So, I wouldn't say it was due to a glitch that she failed her first run, just that she had a stroke of bad luck with the Battle RNG.
Yes. That's definitly something we want. Also make this "ourself" the strongest trainer. Harder to defeat than Cynthia so we can know what rivals feel when we just rekt their teams. Because we're against ourself, and we know that we destroy everyone's teams. I mean he would have the same team as us, with the same moves but with max EVs and IVs. Good luck.
@@ultra9867 It's kinda what happens with Red in Gold/Silver/Crystal since he was us in Red/Blue/Green/Yellow, but they need to work more on this concept.
When Jaiden was split in two, she was setting up for some story telling. The "glitching" was her seeing the other "timeline," where Jaiden originally lost in the Elite Four battles. 2 of her Pokémon lost to the Rhyperior. 3 of her Pokémon were weak to Flint's Fire Type Pokémon. It was great story telling for a split timeline.
the part where she dies is actually the first play through that she did on stream. so she wanted to show both endings because she did get both endings but she redid it to get the good ending. that's why she said she felt like she didn't deserve the ending. but she wanted to show both the endings so this is how she showed that they were both endings
I've seen a lot of reactions to this video in the last two days, but they were all from people pretty familiar with Pokemon and nuzlockes, more or less. It's really nice to see how Jaiden's animation has a reach good enough to where you can understand it and enjoy it without needing to be too familiar with the source material. I think some Pokemon fans take certain facts for granted, like Cynthia for example. She's well known as being one of the best champions in the series, and she's quite popular among the fans. I think the games even tell you early on she's the champion? But with the way Jaiden structured this animation, you were able to be surprised by the reveal of her role an position in the region, which let you experience learning something in the game that you weren't expecting.
You probs know this by now, but the whole depressing alternate reality is Jaidens FIRST attempt where she lost to the elite four, but chat said she should try again :))
She streamed this on RU-vid and Twitch I believe, and the alternate ending in the video was basically she lost to the Elite 4’s gym and the chat said she should restart, so she did and that’s what the alternate ending thing was about kinda funny that she turned something simple like that into a dark and sad ending. Also the Pokémon actually has trees on it’s back, it’s not a reference to anything lol
Turt’s species is a Turtwig that evolves into Grotle that evolves into Torterra (the one with the tree). It is not a reference. Torterra actually has a tree on it’s shell. And we love it
Yes, Turt’s evolution, Torterra (best Sinnoh starter), does have a tree on its back, I always thought of it like it’s carrying a mini forest on its shell
Something I really appreciate about Jaiden animations story telling is it people who don't play Pokemon, like you, can still follow the story and follow what happens. People with background in the Pokemon universe understand a little bit more just how really amazing this story is because they have that background but even if you don't have the background her storytelling is so good that even people that don't play Pokemon that don't understand the advantages and disadvantages of certain Pokemon you know it is still followable. I give her mad respect for that.
4:11 Jaiden got Onix due to Mars being a difficult battle early in the game since she a has a underleveled Purugly. 6:31 The move Night Slash has a high critical hit chance and in Gen IV critical hits were insane. Fun fact Night Slash means Sword testing since it refers to how a samurai would wait and strike to kill unexpected people to test his new sword's skill. 7:32 Bronzor a.k.a Big Boy had two abilities that basically takes away one of its weaknesses which at the time of Gen IV was fire and ground that being Heatproof and Levitate. 7:43 Gible is apart of a pseudo legendary evolutionary line. Garchomp is a pseudo legendary meaning its stats total up to 600 I think. Garchomp was so good during it's debut due to It's speed and power that was banned. 8:34 Devito was K.O'd because the Buizel used Pursuit which is a dark type physical move that doubles when it hits an opponent being switched out and Devito has bad defense. 10:01 Fun Fact is Quagsire is a Ground Water meaning Milk attacks don't affect it that's why its smiling. 10:22 Cyrus hated emotions due to his upbringing. He felt emotions made people incomplete so he wanted to used the legendary pokemons to make a new world with no emotions. Also no the grandma wasn't working for him. He was asking her questions and she didn't want to answer so he was going to blow up the cave. 12:19 Only two of her pokemon were weak to ice types turt and her crobat. 14:15 Shockingly you don't fight Jupiter at Lake Acuity like you do Mars and Saturn. 14:33 The Porygon-2 got off the K.O due to dealing a low row and then a high row crit. 16:20 No giga drain is a Special Attack Grass move which Lol is 4x weak towards however Golbat's SP Atk isn't that good but it got a crit so hey. 20:08 A Stab Brave Bird crit from Staraptor who is a big Attacker is deadly. 23:46 Jaiden's plan was bad since Oops is way slower than Garchomp. She could have used Ice beam twice or did a yawn & protect set. 24:40 she pointing how she train its EVs in Speed since Ponyta is a fast pokemon like how her Magneton in Ruby survived that earthquake from Altaria due to its EV being in HP from beating all those marills.
First off, turts species of pokemon, yes they do get a tree on their back when they evolve, and second off at the end when she's glitching, in her stream she lost the first time around against the elite 4 and her chat let her try again, it was also her birthday so I'm sure they didn't want her feeling down, so they let her go again and she won the second time that's why she says she doesn't feel like she deserves the win because she lost at first. So the glitching and being torn apart is her way of showing that she lost at first and then she won the second time.hope that answers your questions
The Distortion part isnt in the game. She Added It In. there is another comment explaining it. She lost the first time she tried and tryed again. I think its a reference to that. She lost to the elite 4, thats why the animation happened before the Elite 4 battles
If I recall/understand correctly, Bertha crit-killed half Jaiden's team, leaving her with only pokemon weak to fire which would have died to Flint. Chat let her reset, and the last save was before Giratina. Giratina is some kind of divine entity in the pokemon world, so he would definitely be able to split Jaiden in two, creating two timelines, so Jaiden took advantage of that for the animation's story. Hence, the glitching.
SHE ACTUALLY LOST THE RUN IN THE ELITE FOUR SHE WAS HEART BROKEN THEN SHE RAN A POLL IN THE STREAM TO CONTINUE OR NOT AND SUPRISINGLY 89 PERCENT WANTED HER TO CONTINUE THE RUN SO SHE HEALED THE OTHER POKEMON WHO DIED(WHICH IS NOT AS PER THE NUZLOCKE RULES) AND CONTINUED THE RUN AS A NORMAL RUN SO THE JAIDEN GLITCHES U SAW WERE HER LOSING ALL HER POKEMON(HER POKEMON DIED) AND THE JAIDEN WHO BEAT CYNTHIA IS THE JAIDEN WHICH PEOPLE VOTED HER TO CONTINUE THE RUN
9:30 Yes, indeed, Torterra (Turt) does have a tree on its back. I believe the inspiration was after the mythical turtle that carries a whole island on its back, and I believe the tree is a bonsai tree.
Basically she lost several times, and used the distortion world as a way to turn her loses into part of the story. So its alternate version of her that lost. And once she finally won she feels the weight of the failures her alters experienced. Each glitch was a loss Though that's the theory I've seen somewhere else. Could be wrong.
She actually lost once. The multiple glitches were all from the same run - first she lost her Togekiss to a critical Stone Edge (first E4 member), then she lost her Garchomp and Quagsire to Rhypherior (second E4 member - note that she mentioned "feeling a horrible shiver" when the Rhyperior showed up, foreshadowing this). The remainder of her team were all weak to Fire (third E4 member), so she declared the run a loss and reset to the start of the E4 after her chat said it was okay for her to do so (it was her birthday).
Jaden actually lost the first match but she came back and restarted and won that's why there was the glitches and stuff and it showed her Pokemon dying
Ok, Christene... Turt's fully evolved species name is Torterra. The tree and rocks is always on their backs, but, it does remind me of avatar, so I can see how you thought that. The first games this pokemon was in, Pokemon Diamond and Pearl were released in 2004, I believe. Pokemon Platinum is the third installment of the generation, which is generation 4 btw.
for the confusion, giga drain isn’t where they just suck your health and stuff, why lol got defeated was because giga drain is a grass type move and lol was a water and ground type what would be quad weakness.
For those who don’t know, Jaiden lost in the other timeline but she was able to restart that one part fast enough to keep going and she feels guilty about breaking a rule
Giga drain is a 75 power grass type move. And quagsire (lol) is a water ground type. Meaning they will take 4x damage from the attack. Not to mention the golbat got a crit so the power was doubled even after the 4x power
The song used near the end (26:02) was the piano cover of an OST from the game Pokemon Mystery Dungeon - Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky and the name of the OST is Through The Sea of Time. The original soundtrack is also beautiful, and so was the piano cover used in the video.
I suspected she had lost the chalenge and tried again with the same team when I saw the video and that confusing ending. For those who may still not understand, I was right, that's what happened. But it is masterful how she added that into the story and the animation!!
To explain the ending and the dimension thing, basically Jaiden lost her first round of the nuzlocke but she made a poll to ask if she should keep going anyway, and the poll voted yes
The glitch was the first run she had. She streamed it and failed the elite 4. She made a poll to start again and they said yes. The glitch was just her first run and a little Easter Egg for those who watched the stream.
9:38 Turt is a Torterra, and yes, Torterra do have trees on their backs because it goes from a sapling on Turtwig, bushes on Grotle, then some building spikes(?) and a tree for Torterra.
Yes, Turt always has a tree on its back. Turt let's little small pokemon like eevee or pichu sit on its back to relax. As i like to say Turt is a portable relaxation spot.
Yes, Turt’s final form (Torterra) has a tiny tree and tiny mountains on its shell. It’s a reference to a Native American legend about a turtle carrying the world on its back.
Those glitchy bits were her 1st try Idk if this is accurate but Colgate died in either aaron or bertha Flakes and oops died in bertha Turt see and shrimp died in flint So she lost But the chat let her continue her nuzlocke So that was the 2nd try where she won
Christine, she said she doesn't think she deserves the victory because in the final stream of the nuzlocke, all of her Pokémon died and she started over. Not back to the beginning, but back to fight the elite four again
If you dont understand the alternate timeline thing, the first time Jaiden tried this challenge she lost and all her pokemon died. After the stream she put up a poll asking if it would be okay for her to try it again and the majority said yes. Thats why she made herself split in two so that the version of her that lost was still built into the storyline but the version on her video was her second try when she won.
Have you ever played any pokemon games recently? If not, I'd totally watch a let's play of one sometime. I'd suggest one of the more recent ones since they have more in-depth plots, like Black/White, X/Y, Sun/Moon or Sword/Shield.
