this channel is perfect see the car then see what it sells for brilliant way to do it thanks .5 people sat their thats a good auction house .you need to go to buxton classic car Auctions 500 lots every month .
Thank you, I’m glad you liked the video! There was plenty of people behind me bidding & online. I was just sat at the front 🤣 I will check out the auction 👍🏻
One of the best auctions you've done quality wise. So many nice motors. In particular ,that mk2 transit ,and my personal favourite ,that final stunning restored mini gt.That was mouth wateringly beautiful! Thanks Mitch for another quality vid!! 🙌
Good to see you clear up the issue at the end. I had myself wondered why some had such high fees, but thought perhaps it was to do with...well exactly what you said. I absolutely love these videos ❤
Great video Mitch been to a few auctions now this year and the difference between estimated and selling and provisional are vast was at the NEC last weekend and it was like pulling teeth The market is just not there at this moment People are not spending due to the current climate just my opinion Keep up the good work
Hi Mitch, great video again, and thanks again with the amout of miles you and Lauren are covering for us all. The mini 1275 GT I believe was a 1.4 engine and when in the metro it was rapid. I saw it was fitted withe the black and silver number plates again I believe that under the road traffic act of 1972 (unless now changed) the number plates went over to the white and yellow. I can remember in the day I put black and silver on my car and because of its age I got nicked for it 😂 I'll have alook and check my facts but if changed now you have a little more of the history books at your disposal thanks again
All number plates were originally black with white, grey or silver characters, until retroreflective plates were specified in British Standard BS AU 145 in 1967. These were white on the front and yellow on the rear of the vehicle, with black characters. White/yellow retro-reflective plates became a legal requirement for most newly-registered vehicles on 1 January 1973.
Same I had a 1.9 gti in sorrento green. A series 1 escort rs turbo a series 2 escort rs turbo a fiesta xr2i and a Mk1 3 door nova. I would of been able to retire now 😅.
Great vids but in at least one anglia auction , there was at least one older jag, a Japanese coupe and a very old vintage car in the background that werent looked at due to the interest in a fiesta
Hi Jason, as you can imagine there are plenty of lots at these auctions. Given the examples I will try and find some and include them in the next auction video 👍🏻
Alright mate, good selection there! The white Mk2 RS looked a nice thing, 6R4 rep was cool! Did you get to WB last week? Some nice things in there but I didn't have time to go! 👍
MG Metro Turbo 1275cc 90bhp at 6100rpm & torque 84 lbft at 3650 rpm on a good day! The slowest Turbo car i ever owned.Lol Your right about the Escort engine bay.
Nice one Mitch looked liked a great day out mate . I loved that mk2 tranny I’d have bought that for that money if it wasn’t a lefty I have a bit of an old van fetish I’m afraid lol
I thought that too lol ….he manoeuvred it far enough under the seat so he consciously couldn’t see it. Pick it up and bin it you old scrout. If he remembers classic cars he will remember “keep Britain tidy” slogans.
So many years back a blue mark 1 exactly like that was stolen. I can’t find the post. It was on here and on Facebook. Sure it was stolen from a dealer. That 1 looks the same. It could be or may not be. Pitty we coudnt see the numbers. N
Kitten okay if I bought it I would take out the 850 and stick an MG full race engine with close ratio box seen it in years gone bye and they went like stink
40K for the 6R4 replica doesn't even cover the cost of the fabrication work. And at least 25% of the price is fees plus taxes plus currency devaluation (inflation).
It was a mental build! Remember the price was provisional, this is not the final price. If you watch until the end of the video I explain about the provisional bids and how they come to a price that both buyer and seller are happy with 👍🏻
MK2 RS 2000 was cheap need to seen it but all being correct should have been worth well inexcess of 30k, do think it could have been advertised correctly
Was busy behind me, I sat right at the front! Please watch the end part of this video I explain provisional bids. They are not the final sale prices 👍🏻

It is very easy to quickly judge one camera angle. The auction room was huge and most were behind me bidding, I was sat right at the front. Also hundreds of registered online bidding too 👍🏻
those tranny seats are plastic, + the wheels are off a mk1 the 6R4 copy will probably drive better than an original one, they were animals [been in one, you had to wear earplugs because the gearbox/drivetrain was so noisy, brutally fast] 1275 gt's were good to work on, an extra 3inches at the front to do the points/condenser keep it up young man
I would strip that mk1 escort RS2000 replica back to its bare shell, then rebuild it into a mint car, them front seats are not factory period, and i would buy that white mk2 RS2000 too.
