In this video I am sending 20 audition applications with a vocal, rap and dance cover to different Korean entertainment companies before I'm too old 🤡 Being an artist was my ✨childhood dream✨ but I never pursued it seriously since I always focused on my studies and moved a lot (excuses lmao). However, a couple years later and here I am filming this video. It was super scary to post this since I'm pretty much exposing myself to the whole world 🤪 PSA: I DON'T think I'm going to get accepted into any kpop company. This is only meant for entertainment purposes. I'm aware that most trainees are very young and extremely talented/hard-working. Sorry for the bad quality at some parts as I'm still new to youtube 🥺 This video was really fun to make and took a long time to film and film so I hope you all enjoyed it!

Hopefully you can pass the audition I’m only 15 and I’m going to audition when I’m 17 if I pass the audition I want to debut when I’m 20 at least im probably not going to pass the audition but I’m going to try too.

Start training your vocals and dancing. If you need help with the dancing, on my channel I made a playlist that has really improved my dancing by a lot (from my first cover Five by Apink to my recent one Red Flavor by RV on my Insta). There’s some videos on there that will be helpful. Start learning Korean as well. LingoDeer (an app) is a good one but it teaches you the most proper way to speak. If you want to learn basic grammar they use everyday, get an account on Amino (it’s free) and look up KOREAN SCHOOL. It’s a community where they teach you Korean for free. Maybe even learn a new skill?? Also, if you have stage fright, start by performing in front of friends and family. If your school (is open) and does plays or whatever, that’s a good start too. I’m in my 20’s and I’m not interested in audition but what I’ve learned from watching KPOP idols trainee since debut, it’s better to just search for programs by Mnet that ‘recruits ‘ trainee and does competition and get yourself a rank... that way people will know who you are even if it’s not a higher rank you’ll have a better chance at agency spotting you and want you as trainees. These survival shows are the easier way to get yourself out there.

even though the survival shows may be able to give an advantage, it's also VERY risky!! for example evil editing and manipulation can be used on the trainees, take a look at the latest season of produce 101. the votes were rigged and the bg had to disband. iz*one now suffers from tons of hate, saying that some of the girls didn't deserve to be in the group. obviously you can gain advantages, but you also have to watch out for the risks!! it's honestly a 50/50 chance with survival shows. although, I do agree with your statement too!

I have my personal experience. So I am very happy whenever I am left alone in our house coz that's when I sing so loud and dance but then one day my parents said that they will make our room from the first floor for rent and I begged them to not do so coz I feel like I would be robbed of freedom. Of course they didn't listen to me and now when I record my singing, I sing in a very low voice and when I am dancing I always make sure my doors are locked.

Im not even asian but my new years resolution was to audition for one kpop company a month. not even to get in, i just didnt have any other ideas on how to be productive so i figured this would suffice. i actually ended up learning to read korean! so one good thing came out of that

@@-LlamaLina-late! But I’m guessing both. As, being surrounded by a language (in this case Korean) helps improve you with vocabulary and pronunciation. Since you’re surrounded by it and you get used to it.

to be honest i dont think 20 -25 could be considered old ..if u r into kpop u shld know it very well that age factor never matters unless u lack skill.. if u r sure of your skills u shldnt fear showing it ..in kpop world there are bunch of kpop artist who debuted in mid 20s ..mamamoo solar ,2ne1 park bom ,dara ,jinho ,sojin they all debuted so late ..after 25...literally n you are only 19!!!!,,solar herself auditioned at an age of 21..what amkes u think u r old ??????..n please dnt confuse peopleor yourself by saying such things...i think u still have age and if u really have potential ..please go for couple of more auditions ..who knows u might get selected.. all the best

It’s definitely not impossible but it is old and a bit harder to join between 20-25 considering you need to train as well but if you have skill it’s definitely something that overpowers the age factor I agree with u

It is possible to debut around ages 20-25 but it's a bit harder, idols usually start to train around 12-13 years old, that's probably why she thinks she's too old to audition. Also, you never know when you're going to debut, you could start your training when your 19 but how long will you do it? There are many trainees who are already in their mid 20s and aren't even close to debuting. But if you high extremely high potential then their is a higher chance you will get picked to debut

Also depends on the company. Lesser known Company’s or company’s that just don’t have a ton of money are more willing to take in someone who is older as a trainee.

No you're not the only one xd But I wouldn't say that dreams are only dreams. If you actually believe that, who told you this? I don't know any of your plans but if you really want to achieve something whatever it is, then go for it, girl! Dreams are what's pulling you forward until you can finally make them reality. You can proove to the ones who are not believing in you that you can make it and when that's yourself, then proove it to yourself. Well, I believe in you (yes, even though we don't know each other :)

No you’re not the only one! And don’t say that! Dreams are not just dreams! Nothing ever changes without dreams and you can make them a reality! I’m also non Asian and my absolute dream is to be a Kpop idol! I recommend you try out for every company you can find! Also have confidence in yourself because confidence can make a huge difference! Go for it I believe in you and don’t give up!

Keep pursing your dreams girl! You legit inspired me with this video, I've always been afraid of what others might think of me if I said I wanted to be a kpop star or that I even like kpop. I've been into kpop since I was a freshman and my dream is still to become a kpop star. you reminded me that im still young, I mean I'm 16 so, now would be a great time to start. oh and by the way, don't stop here keep trying. Just because you didn't get any responses yet doesn't mean you never will. SO MANY kpop stars audition so many times till they finally get somewhere. Reasons I can't be an Trainee or idol 1. I AM OVERWEIGHT EVEN THE DOCTOR SAYS SO 2. uhhh, I dance since I was 5 and at the age of 12 I finally took it seriously and do kpop dances (13 now) 3. My parents are immigrants and can't fly over with me 4. MY PARENTS ARE GONNA KILL MEEEEEEE 5. I'm scared 6. If i do get accepted uhhhh let's just say I'm not going even if I beg my mom

You were literally reading my mind when you said that if you're not going to do this at some point of your life, there will be regret happening. I really wanna audition but I'm not even Asian. I know my chances of actually getting in are pretty much zero but at the same time music and dance are my dream and i feel the only thing that bring those two things together in a way i like is kpop. So it sucks knowing i really have no chance.

Don’t say that! You can do it I believe in you! Unfortunately it’s true that you might have to face a lot of hate but in the end the people who love and support you are the ones that give you confidence and the hate helps you to want to push forward even more to proven yourself! I recommend auditioning for every company you can find (just be careful of scams!) I’m not Asian either but Becoming a successful Kpop idol is my absolute dream and inspiration. So you’re not alone! We can do it! Have confidence I believe in you! You can do it! I hope you achieve your dream and become successful too!

JYP is open minded, definitely picky and picks up trainees that have his taste, but JYP is looking out for foreign members. I don't raccomend SM, but you could go for smaller companies too

The way we both have so much in common makes me feel like trying this but I still hesitate like rn I'm 16 (13 yrs old me used to think I'm old and talentless) and got my interest in this when I was like 13 but due to all the similar thoughts I never tried giving audition ever(but I did my side hustle by self training myself ) but recently after almost giving up I'm collecting my guts to audition once without telling anyone so I don't regret about never trying to achieve my dream so that my future self don't say I didn't try. I'm still collecting guts...

Tbh i enjoyed watching this video so much! I can really relate myself a lot to you, ahahahaahha that "yo this is my calling," that "realistic voice inside my head," that clowning to yourself and all the indecisiveness that I witnessed in this video is just very much like me XD My 15 year old self even studied Korean and all that ahahahah Except you're talented and confident enough to really push yourself and find a reason to audition ㅠㅠ So yup, I would just want to cheer for you and hope that you have found something that fires up your passion as much as singing, dancing and performing does to you 💕 Yup I'm still lost, but yeah this video just made me feel a lot better and less anxious, and I would like to thank you so muchhh 💖

I found your video really inspiring, I'm in this exactly situation too, I'm sending video to all kpop companies since 3 months ago... I constantly register dance video, singing video, ... and onstly, I'm pretty tired of it. Seeing someone in the same my situation it's pretty comfortable, I really feel understood. I think I'll never give up my dream even if I'm 19 now, so i think you should try again and again too, wish you best luck and who knows... maybe we will be accepted in the same agency lol.

I don’t know if you got in or not but if you didn’t, you could also try being a singer in your own country, you’re already pretty good, try to find your singing style, your voice is so suitable for rnb you re so young and still have so much potential, kpop standards aren’t normal ! You re young, talented and pretty, you have everything to become famous without being in the Kpop industry, good luck girl !

You can be a kpop idol even if you aren't korean or asian. Kpop comes from black music so it woujld make no sense to only let asians be kpop idols.

You don’t have to read this but I’ve been dancing for some time and this is some constructive feedback I have for you. You have a really good speed! What I mean is that your movements are fast and you move nimbly which is very good. If I were you I would work on sharpening your moves and really make sure your lines are sharp and your arm and body placement is correct or else it might end up looking messy. Look at the details of your hand and which way your head is tilted and everything. You have potential I’m rooting for you 💜

Mostly of trainees don't put their focus on school, but some trainees do. You can focus on your shcool and traning contract in the same time, but only if you can settings your time

@@m_k8021 Anything is possible but like Simplicity already said, people have been claiming that Kpop will die out for many years now and it has grown to become the seventh largest music genre in the world (ahead of classical, jazz, and metal). I think Kpop will always be a niche market, it will never challenge American hip hop/rap/Rnb/pop, but it will thrive within this niche. For example, even B and C list Kpop groups are selling more albums than A list American acts. Also, very few American acts can sell 350-400k albums per comeback these days and there are probably at least 15 groups that can do that regularly now in Kpop.

I would say to try to dance in front of one person, then gradually dance in front of more people when you get a chance. (This is how I was able to be confident to dance in front of over 400 people) orrr- you could just dance in front of many people as possible and while your dancing you could just pretend that there is no one there and that you're just in a room alone. I hope my tip(s) even made sense- my English is trash ;-;
