Hey, guys! In today's video, I auditioned (online) for popular entertainment agencies in Korea and thought it would be interesting to share my experience. Please don't take this video seriously haha I know I have no talent. It's just for fun! Quarantine boredom has been giving me this sense of courage to do all of the things I've wanted to do, and this is part 1 of the many things to come. Hopefully, you guys enjoy this! @@isterix89 I agree with u but I also think that's what causes a lot of idols to grow up and end up unable to find a stable career once they're "too old" for kpop. Most of them don't even have a high school education and haven't had the same social interactions and learned the same life lessons as "regular people."

i actually checked the age requirements for both jyp and sm and for sm the oldest they'll go is 1998 and for jyp it's 1995, so she would've been fine. plus you could still audition without reaching that requirement if you're older, they can't deny anyone an audition.

Dianne Riesgo Hello! I can answer for this lmao. I believe they based SM ent's age requirement on the previous global auditions they've held. As for JYP, in their online audition site it specifically said there is no age requirement :) but I think for sure reasons I'd guess the oldest a company would accept is 1999~1997! It's good to note that just by comparing the two, SM is mor likely to accept older trainees vs JYP, based on the trainees they've revealed and the groups theyve already debuted. Hope this helps! (Also, if you're considering to audition, try VSquare! It allows you to audition to multiple companies!)

@@baseerahamedkhan2183 you can do online auditions. First if you can't go directly. Once you pass the online audition I think you go directly to Korea for more. I'm not sure. But there are many videos explaining and articles maybe.

for everyone saying the 'im too old to be an idol thing'. its mostly true. keep in mind she's auditioning, and not debuting yet, so it means months and years of training. if she gets accepted, once she's ready for debut, she could almost be 30. nothing wrong ofc, but kpop companies usually prefer younger idols

There's this agency called Vine ent. literally has an online open audition that held all-year. Yes, an all-year audition. If you guys willing to be a kpop idol but too afraid/not sure to audition in big3 companies, well, you still have a chance here. Are there some know artists in Vine ent.? I think kpop companies have a prejudice against people who are already kinda famous or have a pre set base there are exceptions but to a certain extent they like to find raw talent and then mold them according to their needs + they somehow wants to control the artists life like what they do and what they shouldn't do,which gets kinda impossible with a person who is already famous + they also think that such type of people are quite openiated and won't be willing to become their puppet or will not fully co-operate with them.A little mistreatment will make that person think they were better off on their own and can lead the compay to being exposed....
