Speaking of dumb runs, I've got a suggestion. Maybe a run that's entirely about destroying Radagon. Forget Elden Beast and Malenia, the top name on the hit list is Radagon. The rest can be dealt with later, but the golden hammer boy needs to DIE. Find the best build for absolutely humiliating him. Only fight bosses if there's something about them that gets you closer to Radagon or if they have the misfortune of being descended from the target himself. Once you cross that golden wall, slaughter him in a matter of seconds. Make him wish he was still crucified. Maybe even take the frenzied flame ending just to watch his better half crumble. I totally understand if you don't do anything like this, I just felt inspired when you mentioned dumb runs. Enjoy the game, man!

In paper this sounds like a really good item It scales with int and its an item so this is like a hazard like sorcery that that doesn't take up any spell slots absolutely perfect for sorcerers who want to keep their distance by placing hazards all over... And then they decided... you know what let's have it do 1 dmg
@@mortalakira Honestly if they sped up the animation, added just a bit of extra scaling and let you cancel it once all the mist was out it'd be an alright mage utility to keep smaller enemies off your back in PvE.
I may be 2 years late but it might not be a bad choice against other players? Players have the agency to either avoid it entirely (waste time) or just tank it. Plus players have WAAAY less health than everything else. But either way you can stall someone out or chip the last of their health.
Use this once when I realized there’s items aside from spells that use fp as the damage numbers came up in the screen I soon realized elden ring has a optional hard mode and we been playing on easy all along
@@FlyfishermanMike they do 1 damage but you can only carry up to 999 of them at once and i don't think there's a single boss besides soldier of godrick that has less than 999 HP, could be wrong on that though

I'm still not sure what this thing is even for. No way you land this thing in PvP (consistently at least), and even then; your ass is wide open for a slapping. I feel like the idea behind it was some cool area-denial item. . . but it just tickles things, costs a 3rd mortgage in FP, and is slower than sloth on weed.
It exists, and it looks really cool visually. I wouldn't be surprised if it was tossed into a perfumer-esque gimmick build where you're just tossing everything and the kitchen sink at the enemy. Might tickle for damage but even a bit of damage can freak people out... or even better kill someone not paying attention.
The only time I actually unironicly use it on purpose is on invisible bridges, stairs or passages, I pour the thing, do 3 steps, poor the thing again to see if its void or invisible bridge, rince and repeat untill i'm on the other side
Funny enough, I actually use the infant head on my necromancer character. I also used the wraith calling bell until I got the upgraded version from Morgott's remembrance. Support items are fairly useful for caster builds, because you can hot key them to the D-pad. Kinda wish I could do the same thing with the spells, but beggars can't be choosers.
The awkward spell cycling system is why I can't bring myself to play a true caster in this game, honestly. I really wish they had done something like have holding the L1/R1 (depending on hand) button turn the dpad into 4 spells, and L2/R2 (again based on hand) turn into a diff 4. Holding both could be a final set, I guess.
@@ianlindstrom2019 While I'd absolutely adore the ability to hotkey spells, at the end of the day it comes down to getting comfortable with a spell list, and muscle memory. It takes a bit of practice but it's 100% possible to quickly cycle to any spell in your slots. You can also simply hold up on the D-Pad to instantly revert to the first spell in the list.
It's a shame because the item is a cool concept. Wish they just made it a special kind of catalyst like the death poker greatsword. This and thorn sorceries.
I think the beast's run distance and frequency was nerfed. I played it recently and watched Afrosenju after Er the hotfix an while his still has running, there is less, and for less distance.
i think they should have made it kinda like aldia but less shitty, collect x of y items (or in aldias case light a specific 3 bonfires) and then the elden beast pops up outta fuckin nowhere and scares the shit out of you. (they also should've added a secret ending to DS2 if you fought aldia but nows not the time for that) or a better comparison would be like the ancestral deer thing but with this it give crazy lore too.

great run skumnut! now do demons souls, dark souls, dark souls 2, bloodborne, dark souls 3, sekiro and elden ring at soul level 1, without being hit. all in a row, if you get hit, you restart the run and go back to demons souls
Distortion2 did a doubled enemies in sekiro run and then promptly turned into DSP with how much he was whining and moaning and generally being an unenjoyable crybaby about it - some frustration is fine but some of these youtubers/streamers forget that they're trying to entertain an audience. Sometimes it'd literally improve their videos to mute their audio.
This was genuinely beautiful. Watching that last Elden Beast attempt and the amount of focus you had was like watching an athlete or a musician at their craft.
I love how I instantly recognized the Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel music in the beginning, you have great taste! Still can't belive you beat the game with this crap item and I still have trouble on NG+3 💀
the best comparison i can think of for this run is you running around dodging attacks left and right to occasionally toss some cyanide on the ground and hope the enemy steps in it until eventually their shoe falls off and they slip, fall, and stop trying to catch themselves out of either exhaustion or pity

I use an int build so this item isn't actually so bad in my opinion. I keep it equipped for my mimic and I wind up using it while I'm up high to pour on enemies below me. It also works through walls. It's great to pour in front of yourself in catacombs before you walk into a room to catch the imps that fall off the walls for damage and to slow them down. It's quite good in the right situation.

I think that the radahn kill was actually 100% legitimate. If he had used a shield, i'd consider it not *only* using the item, but since he didn't actually use anything to cause radahn to die other than positioning, which definitely doesn't disqualify him, then it counts as legitimate.

Doesn't work... even at max str and dex it doesn't do enough damage So even with 999 of them (which is realistically impossible without cheating) you will never do enough damage to kill any bosses aside from maybe soldier of godrick Now it you gave a modded item that threw stones with infinite ammo... that would be *theoretically* possible
I just want to note that with the inclusion of the FP regeneration Talisman in Shadow of the Erdtree, it is now possible to have functionally infinite FP with which to kill Fire Giant with.
You should go back and get that fire giant with the baby head just to prove you can. Bet you could do it faster than radagon and Elden beast. Awesome run man. Real dedication right there
And by upgradable I don’t just mean like +10 I mean like let me choose either bloodflame, ghostflame, deathflame/destined death or black flames to add to this thing to really make it useful.
May i just say I was in ng+7 and did this with every boss hard af it took me 343 hours and 43 min with 9643 deaths don’t do this I stopped playing for 2 days and came back

Idk if you'll ever see this but I've got a little bit of an easy build for you out of respect for your pain and efforts: 2 Misericorde daggers (One with RKR for damage & the other with Glintstone Pebble/Flame of the Redmanes to break boss poise) Assassin's Crimson & Cerulean Dagger Dagger Talisman And whatever else you'd like to use for the 4th talisman but no armor at all, you get to only rely on the new light load rolls
