@@Sam-fe2yi The Arbiter was there. Right before it cut off, there is an elite right next to the camera with a Sword in their left hand. Also, She played the halo games without knowing the lore exactly, and she had pretty great reactions.

There's a bit of irony in all of Noble's final scenes. Jorge always said he would never leave Reach, but he died in its orbit. Kat was the brains of Noble, and was shot in the head. Jun was a ghost, and disappeared without a trace. Carter was the captain, and went down with the ship. Emile was always distrustful, and was stabbed in the back. And one of the first things Carter says to Six is 'That lone wolf stuff stays behind.' Six stays behind, and the final mission is Lone Wolf. As to if it was the Arbiter, no. By the time of Six's final stand, the Arbiter was off planet pursuing the Pillar of Autumn.

Also there is some irony in their last words (though this is a bit of a stretch) Jorge tells them to make it count, and his sacrifice is immediately overshadowed by the other Covenant ships Kat is talking technobabble right to the end Carter is professional and sticks to the rules - his last words are military jargon Emile asks for who'd next, is immediately answered, and then says he's "ready", because he was always ready to be stabbed in the back, right until he was Six has less irony, but again, the "lone wolf stuff" when they say they have the gun

Yep, Jun is the sole survivor. He got separated from Halsey and somehow escaped Reach. He does some important stuff later on in the comics but unfortunately you don’t see him in Halo 4 or 5 after this.

The back story of Noble 6 is actually amazing. On par with John on every metric. Was even know as “hyper lethal.” Only two Spartans ever achieved that status. Noble 6 and the Chief. In the begging of reach, right after Carter and the team board the chopper, Carter tells Noble 6 that he doesn’t want any “lone wolf” stuff. That’s referring to Noble 6’s past in which he carried out missions alone. Such a nice touch lore wise.

I'm pretty sure in one of the comics, theirs a statue of Noble team, Jun visits it in or of the comics and reveals that because 6 was black ops, we aren't remembered in the statue, Jun is the only real legacy, he's the sole survivor and the only one who remembers us.

Do remember that, though Six did pass, they took several elites and a sizeable chunk of the Arbiter's forces with them. In addition, it took three elites working in tandem to bring down the hyper-lethal vector.

According to the date stamp for Lone Wolf, 6 died about half way through CE. She was on her own for almost a month before dying.

Whenever you play Lone Wolf you always want to survive and kill as many Covenant as possible so watching her just walk back and forth between the two machine guns on that platform was strangely stressful 😄

“Does the arbiter kill us?” The arbiter in the opening cinematic of halo 2 “...they called it the Pillar of Autumn...they fled, as we set fire to the planet...I followed with all the ships in my command” So, no. The arbiter isn’t one of the elites who kills 6 😂 however, he was in command of the fleet that destroyed Reach.

Idk there is no solid evidence to suggest that he was on the Pillar of Autumn’s tail the whole time we know the covenant has slip space technology and that Arby is a ground led commander. It’s odd that Bungie would add a left handed elite who we only see the foot of that is most likely the one that kills noble 6. Besides Noble 6 dies right after the Autumn leaves and Arby could have easily slip spaced over to his fleet. Also they chased the Autumn for a week or two so idk there’s no solid evidence for either way but I like to think he did. Edit: maybe it could have been Rtas aka half jaw. Honestly we don’t know but I’d like to think it was a significant elite that kills 6.

@@bobafett1313 Arbiter was a Supreme Commander of a fleet that glassed reach, and it was also his fleet that pursued the Pillar of Autumn. He also wasn't deemed arbiter at the time. He became Arbiter after failing to stop chief from destroying instalation 04.

I don’t think that was a 343 decision, but a Microsoft decision. Microsoft wants to cut all ties form Bungie for some reason. There might be multiple reasons for it, I just can’t put my finger on which one.

Jun lives, and he helps train the new generation of Spartans, the Spartan 4 program. Reach is my favorite game, because it shows that even though all the Spartans are badass, they are still humans and can be killed. It helps put a solid weight to John 117's character to show that he is one of the last original Spartans and that he truly is lucky. (Essentially all Spartan 2's and 3's threw themselves into defending reach and died, only chief and a handful of others escaped) Can't wait for your Halo 4 playthrough! No spoilers but it will be great and even though some people don't enjoy the storyline, I think it has nice emotional weight throughout. (Is it bad of me to say that every time you cry, I smile a bit? because it means you are really invested in the universe and it makes me happy to see another fellow halo fan) :D \(^_^)/

John’s luck only extends as far as finding a rocket launcher in the middle of nowhere right before he needs to use something with enough punch to it. Almost all of his success is built on other people’s shoulders, sacrifices and decisions - while he is just along for the ride. For example, without Noble team sacrificing 3 prominent members of their team, not to mention countless Marines, ODSTs and Civilians, to deliver a fragment of Cortana, imbedded with Forerunner intelligence, Cortana, who was already partnered with Chief during the Battle of Reach, wouldn’t be able to properly manipulate Forerunner constructs. More examples include: Gravemind’s help in finding the Index, Arbiter’s interference in stopping Tartarus, 343 Guilty Spark’s explanation, Prophets changing their escorts from Elites to Brutes etc. John is just killing a couple of aliens there, presses a button here, maybe blows something up. I mean, the dude almost fired a Halo, just because some floating orb thing he never saw before told him to.

watching noble 6 just standing there menacingly, it was to issue a challenge, and thel vadam's/arbiter's style was more on the "honorable" side of tactics, and so the covenant answered or atleast those under him did. edit: lol "does the arbiter kill us?" nah, there was a popular theory that he was the one going around offing all of noble team with kat it was deliberate, glassing everyone, to flush her out. she was doing well in directing noble 6

there's actually 2 different stories made by different Halo team members that describes what Jun did to escape. 1st story is how he got Halsey to safety by fighting off an entire squad of Covenant. The 2nd is how he got off planet by (I shit you not) climbing up a space elevator all the way to the top where a few small ships were.

Now you need to watch the animated movie Halo: The Fall of Reach. It’s based on the backstory sections from the book of the same name, and while it has quite a few changes and some...less than stellar animation, it will give you a LOT of story from the books that you’ve been missing, as well as allow you to actually react to it. And don’t worry, it doesn’t even touch the main plot of the Fall of Reach book (guess what that is XD), so you can still read the novel afterwards without feeling spoiled.

The final landing pad fights are just cruel on legendary. I accidentally lost my headshot weapon immediately before, and I ran out of headshot ammo on the second wave. So I had to fight the last group of brutes with nothing but grenades and a plasma pistol. Now that was unfair.

I played Halo Reach during a very difficult time in my life, I was very close to committing suicide. But the story of Halo Reach taught me to keep fighting until my last breath. That was 4 years ago and now I have the noble team's insignia tattooed on my arm and I am going through the best moments of my life, I love this game, this game represents a rebirth for me.

I actually played the final part for such a long time. It turns out the level will automatically timeout if you don’t die that’s what happened to me. I didn’t die so it ended the level for me. I had the magical combination assault rifle plasma pistol and dome shield. Every time I got low on health I just toss down the shield I was nowhere near low health.

I heard somewhere else that there was a logical method to kill these Spartans. The gatling gun guy died off planet, away from his loved Reach. The girl, the brain of the group, got a headshot. The skull one got backstabed while he was the one with trust issues. The boss died sinking with the ship(Pelican). Your character dies alone as the lone wolf you were before.

To answer your question, the Arbiter doesn’t kill you. He’s actually the commander of the fleet , and he went after the Pillar of Autumn and discovered Halo.

“Does the arbiter kill us?” Well. Technically no, but kinda yes. The arbiter was the commander of the fleet that took reach if I’m correct, back before he was the arbiter. And I believe he personally have the zealots the order to hunt down noble team.

Oof The first time I played reach back when it came out the ending really got me emotional which I thought was impossible because I thought Johnson dying was the worst thing I was gonna see in a halo game I was wrong and then halo 4 came out and I was like fuck me it just keeps getting worse

Favorite Halo Story and multiplayer of all the Halo games. I cried on this game and after Cortana on Halo 4 sacrificed herself for John. "I waited so long to do that" Cortana... i cried so much after this line. We been through SO much with Cortana that seen her leave us in a blink of an eye was so sad :(

There's actually a fan theory that noble 6 survived the fight and hid on reach. Also, the arbiter is just a position not a specific character. It's a position of leadership that you aren't supposed to survive.

Yeah I told her in one of her past videos that Thel Vadamee who is the arbiter i believe is the one that kills noble six since he was on the ground during lone wolf. He was the left handed elite at the end.

@@constantlyphil Yea it’s been three years since my comment and things change. Truthfully who knows, Thel wasn’t like most commanders he personally took command on ground operations and did in fact hunt Spartans down when he was a zealot. There are three ways you can take the elite in the final shot: 1. The elite is left handed and in the fandom it’s well known that the arbiter is the only elite that uses his left hand as a sword hand. So it could be another arbiter before Thel becomes the arbiter. We don’t really know if there was an arbiter present during the event of Reach or not. Interesting theory though. 2. It is Thel and he could have sent his fleet after the Pillar of Autumn while he finished up with Nobel Team. Personally my view on this has changed from three years ago. While it could be possible that this is Thel and the covenant technology is so advanced that he could have killed Noble Six and would have linked up with his fleet by other means in a timely manner I personally don’t hold this theory anymore. Not saying it can’t be true though. However to think that Noble Six killed the elite that was on top of him and then it was just Thel and Six left to fight one another to the death is a better way for Six to go out in my opinion. 3. It’s just a random elite…. Yep that’s it. Personally I don’t think so because why would they show this elites arm and sword at the end like that? And why is the elite left handed while other elites use their right? If it’s not Thel that’s fine but I believe it could be a high ranking elite of some kind. An arbiter, a zealot, a commander of some kind, etc.

@@constantlyphil True maybe Six injured him at range and he had to switch hands, or maybe injured in a previous battle but to me the creators made the elite look ominous how he just walked slowly into frame and activated his sword with his left hand almost like they were teasing us with something more… idk maybe it’s just me. But I understand your point I wouldn’t want Arby killing anyone close either but to me had he been the one to kill Six it also just adds more weight to his turn against the prophets and his quest for redemption. He killed so many working for the prophets and killing an important character like Six would just add to that guilt of his.

No, Arbiter (not arbiter but supreme commander during reach Vadem was the commander responsible for the glassing of reach and overseer of all Covenant forces on reach and in the Fleet) Later on in Halo 2 he tried chasing down Autumn and failed and we get the destruction of halo
