That part was terrible (and I'm a huge Pchal fan), is there some kind of strategy for enjoying whacko I'm missing? "I play the first 15% of a Kaizo poorly 5 times" is such a confusing video format to me.
@@Moxi Yeah, well graduating from college has life catching up a little. I'm better off as a lurker, anyways. Great to see you guys still coming along! Enjoyed the nuzlocke race, too.
I'm so happy to see the Nuzlocke scene explode since I started watching Ding Dong games in 2019. The creativity in the video is fantastic, and Moxi did a great job in conveying the description of the fights without being overly boring or tedious. Since Pchal's EK video, you can see the evolution in the quality of the Nuzlocke videos on this site, taking similar sound cues, breaking down into chapters, inviting other poketubers and so much more. Congratulations, Moxi. I can't wait to see what you do next. P.S Whacko is so funny for the insistence on rock slide flinching when they were slower.
While I find difficulty hacks to be the most enjoyable and stimulating, the storylines are the MOST important part to me. Nuzlocking would not have this hold on me if it wasn't for the incredible community of both creators and viewers. Experiencing these moments alongside others who are just invested makes it so special to me. Thanks for watching and for the kind words!
The pyre tag skit was hilarious, and I was blown away by the Tate and Lisa animation. This is one of the most well crafted nuzlocke videos out there. Keep up the good work.
The pyre tag bit was absolutely legendary, wacko calling out Pchal’s RNG loss had me falling out of my chair laughing and my fiancée questioning my sanity
I was listening to this in the background while playing a game, but the editing of the encounters and pacing of the video early on drew me in and kept me captivated. Great work, you should be proud
Ah, Calc Sim. Where you spend hundreds of times longer in the calc than playing- I had to quit after just 2 badges for my sanity. Anyone who manages to beat this has my respect.
I'm not super into competitive battle or Pokemon games themselves, but this video was just extremely well put together, not one boring second! You made my evening, thank you!
LOVE to hear this - i know this stuff can get really sweaty, so im always trying to make it an accessible story for those who aren't as into this style of game
you’re a huge reason I’ve started nuzlocking these rom hacks, thanks for igniting that flame in me! Never underestimate the impact you have on this community.
Bro really hit the ending of chapter 3 with "You activated my trap card," "I knew you would do that," AND "Just as I planned" all at once. That's wild.
Feel like I just watched a movie! Great video, my dude! 🥳 Love all the appearances of everyone and the Mr.Pyre spat! I also really appreciate that it didn't start off as a 'perfect' run, and seeing certain Pokemon put in some work.
The grueling moments that you had to deal with just to finish the game is absolutely insane. You really earned my support and respect. Congrats Moxi and goodluck to your future plans!!
first and only video i've seen that makes me feel like run & bun is not as egregious as i made myself believe -- still brutal, yes, but not quite as unfair as i thought (i was poisoned by the reddit post mentioned during roxanne 🚬)... excellent production and editing. congratulations on bringing unique picks into the hall of fame as well. you've earned a sub just for the principle of it, i'd say. on an adjacent note, if anyone knows the music at 1:36:00 or so, i would be in your debt.
Dude yeah this game looks unreal on paper but it gives you the tools you need at just the right times and rewards good decision making. It's far from the kaizo style games that are just hard to be hard. To me, it's a well designed experience that also happens to be hard. thanks for the love!
So worth turning on notifs. This vid got me thru my rough morning/early noon. But.. we need an entire tracklist of what was used and when. 👀 ESPECIALLY what was used for the Urshifu buildup.
PEAK. GAMING. Man, this took a while. The effort and quality are top-notch, though, so it checks out. The anime intro is hilarious, the little infographics on the boss fights are fantastic (I saw that archaludon on bridge rival lmao), and the T&L Heist is, of course, great. Everyone's gotta do some kind of bit for it and I loved yours. The little editing gags got some good laughs out of me, and the voiceover is really well done! That callback to the Beedrill screwup when Pult got crit in the E4 is some great storytelling! Good job on this ridiculous project! Run and Bun is a monster, and you've done your story justice
I love that you really noticed all the little details. The big set pieces are sick no doubt, but theres tons of tiny little things that i always hope somebody will catch. This is really encouraging - thank you, and I'll continue to do my best to keep putting out more like this
moxi, what I like the most about your runs here is your optimism even when you don't get the best encounter (or the second, third, or four best haha) and you plan on to make the most of them the moment you catch them. I realise this attitude is probably necessary to cope with what these games throw at you but it doesn't make it any less remarkable! big plays
Dude this mindset is what makes nuzlocking magical for me. Some of my now favorite mons are ones I wasn’t a fan of until I was forced to use them in this game and fell in love when they went above and beyond for me
