Tips for my fellow truckers! Turn off all your interior lights to save battery. Stow all loose items inside containers then put those containers on the shelves and open them. The. Turn off your gravity to again save energy. Do not bother putting a battery in your suit charger to again save battery. Turn your blowers to minimum to again save energy. Before you hit 80k miles on your truck you can repair it for free.

that air brake on the right is for emergencies only. it vents some of the cabin air in order to stop quickly, its not a parking brake. using it uses up your oxygen, and you'll soon find out how expensive those filters are. hope this helps, and hope you make another video on this game, ive been loving it myself

Elite Dangerouse has been jokingly called a space trucking simulator for many years. On the bright side, you can have shields, so bumping into things is a little less hazardous. The downside is that space stations will laser you to death for a minor trucking infraction.

It’s neat that the CB radio is set to channel 19, it’s the channel us truck drivers actually use to communicate

I feel like instead of having so many systems with their own small batteries, it would make more sense to have one central battery supply and then give you the ability to balance the usage of power to each system as needed.

I love how it shows half the bar red for "Repair Hull" but because it was free, Matt just assumes it's fine. Matt really is a civil engineer. Doesn't understand maths, physics, graphs, or know what a client is.

Always CHECK YOUR DASH. Blinking red lights indicate a problem that needs to be fixed. Also, you haven't fixed your hull! You've just sealed holes, your hull is VERY DAMAGED which increases the likelihood of breaches. GO FIX YOUR HULL :D

With the right on time jobs you need to be extra careful of the times the delivery is scheduled for because time moves at real-time pace when you're not jumping between locations. I learned this after having to wait 2 hours with the game running to make a delivery.

So much about this game reminds me of Freelancer. 1. Basically driving a "train" heavy transport 2. Jump gate animations 3. Highways / "trade lanes" 4. Asteroid / debris fields everywhere 5. Colorful nebula backdrops 6. "I'm scanning your cargo for contraband."

Dunno if you'll keep playing this.. but i'll say just in case others pick up the game too (you definitely should): the air brake blasts your inside cabin air out. This makes your oxygen and air filters work _extremely_ hard, degrading them both very quickly. Your normal reverse-thrust-braking should be more than enough to stop when you need to (as long as you aren't doing 150 20 feet away from the jumpgate....). Also, turn off your lights to save on core power. You can also fiddle with the air-con to be efficient as well. Batteries and air filters are hard to come by, especially early game... make em last.

Remind me not to drive anywhere near RCE's place in case I meet him on the road.

Fun game, but don't like how the maintenance is excellerated to always make you feel broke and broken. Time dilation doesn't increase wear and tear irl and so it feels like a major flaw.

I don't know why, but I always find these trucker games interesting, and one in space is certainly something I haven't seen before.

List of Tips: (for those who don't want to learn the hard way or deal with a hard lock bug) [first 2 are the big ones everyone needs to know] Put container boxes in the shelves and open them to keep them in place, and gas canisters in the air lock. Also, when in the market, right click a container to be able to sell what is inside. I think with assist off, if you are going perfectly straight, you just get to speed and coast, use less gas, but no other savings, but with assist on it will slow you and do minor stabilizing adjustments that cost more gas. (Not a method a pursue, because the cost benefit isn't worth it to me compared to forgetting it's off and crashing.) Read the forums about the Dusty Bear quest bug, and don't screw up and get locked out of the end of the quests. Fuses lose health from use, so you can't damage them if they are fully used. If your mag or core battery is 50% and the other is full (or just a 50% difference), swap one from each of them, and empty those batteries every time, because it adds up over time. If you have 5% left on a battery, you are wasting that 5%. If you take the wrong upgrade path, you might doom your playthrough, because it can become impossible to maintain the cost of running your rig. Focus on cost efficiency first.

I feel like this video will be used in Driver Education classes as what happens when you get distracted while driving. Class, please remember to bring your vehicle to a safe and full stop in a legal and non-offensive location before spending time examining controls and making adjustments.

I can't wait for Spiff to figure out how to yeet yourself at a million mph through the off-road to get to where you need to go game breakingly fast. The weirdo speedrunners are going to have a field day with this game. Oh and the reason it uses miles per hour and right-side driving is clearly because it was filled with 110% more FREEDOM™. Nobody sane drives on the left side of the road.

As someone who's put thousands of hours into Space Sims over the years, it's hilarious watching people new to space games play a game with even light Newtonian physics.

Now you see why the only safe place for an engineer is in a basement cubicle. Just let them pop their heads up for some protien bars on occasion and give them a water cooler for social interaction and that's all they need.

Channel 19 is indeed official trucker channel. It sits in the middle of 1-40 CB channels so radios are best tuned for that exact part of the spectrum.

One of the best tips ive ever gotten in this game is get boxes for everything put those boxes in the shelf, jam them in the shelves by opening them and then yank the gravity battery because you dont need it and it just wastes money

As someone just getting into game dev myself, that game is just awesome on every level. Definitely need some more of this one.

Your average delivery man moment. Smacking the living hell out of the cargo, tossing it around like change in the washing machine, and then going "that little hit at the end?"

The "space roads" are free from space debris, if you go off road you will need to watch your speed and keep an eye out for them. Despite our space truck massive size, at the early stage it is as weak enough to take a severe beating from running into space junk. Our truck is almost entirely battery operated so you need to purchase fresh power cores at every stop to keep your systems alive, as well as fresh air filters to keep oxygen going. Overall, you should avoid doing the main missions and focus on upgrading your truck with side jobs until you feel like you're ready.

A very useful tip that’s only mentioned in the contract: if you cancel the job before disconnecting your truck from the station, you’ll receive no fine!

I've been playing the hell out of this game. The hazards in the next zones you unlock are really cool. As a tip: if you are driving through a dangerous debris field, hold zoom to see the debris sooner.

there is something about watching someone playing a space game and not closing the airlock door behind them upon reentering the craft that just lets you know they will die eventually

I played the demo of this and have seen someone else play the full release for quite a few hours. It's *hard*. I know during the demo some of the instructions were a bit lacking too, it would tell you to do something but not how to do it, there was no information on where anything was located inside the ship, sometimes you'd get told to do something in a voice line and there'd be no way to play it back or check what it was in a mission log. Then the controls themselves are hard to get the hang of and the cost of parts means you're basically doing jobs just to afford the minimum of what you need to keep flying. This isn't necessarily a complaint (apart from the instructions part lol), the person I've watched playing the game loves it especially once he started being able to find salvage and I definitely kept it on my wishlist, but it is a bit of a warning. It's not just Euro Truck in space, it's more like a survival game.

I've been waiting for this game forever and am so happy it is out! Recommended difficulty can be tough at first but after a steep learning curve its very managable.

Definitely Cowboy Bebop inspired with those warp gates and the localized space roads, bringing to mind it's a Heavy Metal Queen simulator at that.

I look forward to hauling square pigs. Though I hope never to meet Charles Dance in this game.

The game really is a ton of fun, the devs have also said they are going to add Keybinds for PC soon, since they are small team that made the game they said and a ton of new bugs since launch but KEYBINDS are on top of the list now. Once they add those 3rd person will be much better! Also the just in time deliveries are broken i end up having to just wait because I get there to early... But more to come and that makes me excited!

I have to say when you played Arrogue I actually tried it out the developer is actually going to update the Demo to have more levels cause everyone seems to want to keep playing it till the game releases you had the most positive outcome for that game that multiple people saw your video and have thanked you for bringing them to the game me included.

this game became bizarrely addictive once I'd put my truck resource bleed to low and kept the jobs at the same price. Normal mode felt like hardcore and had a hell of a time progressing.. Ended up screwed and had to start over. I am a bit of a casual these days though.. fun to watch somebody else play for once ; ).

Hopefully they fix the 3 trailers bug before you get there 😂 Try to time your power core changes while you're docked. You get shore power from the stations, so you can pull the power cores without the system shutting down. Also, make sure you turn a system off before replacing the UCC... Bad things can happen if you're not lucky 😂

Now go and see Space Truckers....which might just be a little bit of inspiration.
