here's one thing people might not know about their 2ss (i didnt for a year lol). there's a setting called easy exit. set it on and your seat will go backwards when you exit after shutting off engine, and goes back to driving position when starting the engine. and you can tune where the easy exit's position is base on your liking. this feature definitely makes my camaro feels more high end XD
The start with a dead key fob is the feature that really impressed me. I don't have a Camaro, but I'm seriously considering buying one and this is very useful information.
These features are not Camaro exclusive, therefore you do not need to own one in order to utilize them and they are decades old features. I currently own a 2018 Camaro SS, traded a 2014 Charger R/T in on it, that had a 2003 BMW 330i traded in for the Charger. My Beamer had the trunk button as well as the unlock button window down feature; if you held the unlock button long enough all 4 windows would slide down as well as the sunroof would open. GM is not revolutionary or innovative in this regard, this was a bogus video for likes and subscriptions
I like it, I really don't know the first one XD thanks man, but I'm gonna tell you one thing you don't know. When you want to turn off that window, don't put your feet on the break, but short press the start button, the engine won't start, but you can use all electric stuffs in your car including closing the window
I learned all three of your “Surprises” the day I took delivery. I learned many more features over the next few weeks of ownership. Reading the owner’s manual will open a world of information
i dont own one yet but i will be either getting a 2ss or 2ss 1le on my 32nd birthday and i have been watching a lot of camaro reviews and vids and i knew all 3 plus the bonus one and ever more. like to roll the windows up you dont have to start the car just tap the start/stop button and it will give u all aux power to roll them up
My dream car!! Feels dope when the window can be rolled down by the key, my family used to have a nissan sentra(sunny/pulsar), and the dealer installed a function quite similar to this one, beside it can roll up the windows when we lock the car, unfortunately tho this function broke after few years lol
Great info, swiping the screen and windows, but also, all you have to do to roll the windows up is press the start/stop button once without depressing the clutch for manuals, or just press the button once for automatics without ur foot on the break, and ur in Auxilliary mode, radio, windows, all on battery. No need to start car.
All those features are available on the 2LT RS as well. I did not know about the music info swipe and didn't know how to start the car if the FOB's battery was dead, Thanks for the good and useful information.
I splurge on Vehicle videos. Especially for Camaro, Mustang, Charger, Challenger, and a few trucks. I'm one of those that knows many Electronic tricks for many vehicles. 😂
Didn't know about the swipe song feature. But that trunk unlock button isn't available on the convertibles either. Not available on my 2SS Convertible anyways!! Lol! But if your battery dies, behind the drivers side back seat if pulled back at the top left hand side there's a lock you can open the trunk with the key in the fob
i didnt know you could swipe the info but the others i did. 1 thing i noticed most people dont know is that if you hold the start button for 5 seconds with your foot NOT on the clutch or brake the cars electronics will all come on as if the car is running just the engine will not start. ACC
J Cunningham you don't even have to press the start button to play the radio if the car is off. Just hit the power button on the radio and it will allow you to use the radio the same as if you pressed the start but once without pressing the brake.
Here is another thing you may not knot. When you press the start button without pressing the clutch the batery turns on and thats how you roll up the windows with out having to start the car
I knew two of the three features the trunk and window trick lol so i think you still owe me a life but i thank you sir for those anyway just to help with good memory
You didn’t have to start the car to roll up the windows , just hold the start button until power comes on , its like if you have a older car and u turn the key switch halfway to let the windows up or down or use the radio.
I have a Chevy Cruze , my buddy has a Camaro. He did not know about the hidden trunk switch until I showed him and I did not know about the audio info left swipe feature until I watched your video. Thank you
You don’t need to start the car to launch windows up.. just lightly touch the start button. Also you can listen to the radio without starting the car hold down the knob for 1 sec. 5 seconds later the radio pops
Knew them all bro. Still a solid informative effort. I'm sure you know this but you don't actually have to start the car to roll the windows up. Just gotta push the button to power it up lol
Three strikes you’re out...you owe me your life...also the window works on 1ss camaros and plus as they’re rolling down you can hit the same button on the fob to stop it from rolling all the way down
Ok. I didn't know about the truck button. Window feature is standard. How about telescoping sun visors? Or light between the infotainment system and dash. Or camaro written on headlights. ..
Thank you for this, I love my Camaro and the more I learn the better, I absolutely think it is the best car I have ever owned, and I have had Corvettes, Dodge Challengers, Mustangs, etc., Any new performance tips would be great!!
Pauline2272: Performance tip: If you have an automatic, the paddles work without moving the shifter to the left - gives you a temporary downshift (or up-shift) until you stop, or get onto level ground+give it gas - or some formula similar to the cylinder deactivation algorithm(s). I found this on my G37, and the Camaro has it too - comes in handy for quick down-shifts to go up or down hills or for added braking power. Also, if you HOLD the shifter back, or the left paddle, it will down-shift to the lowest possible gear for your speed. I prefer this to the old Mustang C6 trans (as well as the 5-speed auto in my friend's 2007 GT) that would allow you to shift the lever down to 1st at 80, and the lower gears would kick in as you slowed to speeds that would tolerate each gear - these down-shifts are unpredictable and could be dangerous...
when rolling the windows back up, you don't need to turn the car fully on. press the ignition button without pushing down the break, which should turn the electronics on / air. then from there you should be able to roll the windows up.
That's a sweet wrap homie. I have a 2016 2SS and I just tried the window thing and guess what...my car don't do that. Maybe it's an option for the 2017s
Thanks for these tips! Didn't know some of these for my 2SS! By the way, would you mind sharing what editing software you are using? I am trying to put some videos together from the Yi, but all the software I've found has a watermark or uploads in 720p. Just not a fan of that. Any help/advice would be awesome! Your edit skills = legit. Thanks in advance, man!
I thought for sure your secret gems would fall to impress me, out of the 4 gems you shared I knew 3, can you guess which 1 I didn't know until you mentioned it
You dont have to turn the car on to roll the wondows up. You just push the start button once without pressing the brake and the ignition turns on, along with the radio. push the button again to cancle.
GTF outta here with the trunk button. How can a person own a Camaro and not know where the unlock button is. Idiots. (Quietly slinks outside to see if the button is really there)
I've had mine for 1 week. I did not know about the media swiping to the dash. The rest I knew. The window rolling down is common. My dads 2010 Dodge Ram has it.
Here's something for you, you can power your auxiliaries without starting your car! Simply press the start/stop button without your foot on the break. Lol
It's competitive mode - only works in Sport & Track modes - enables launch control and timers, allows for wheel spin, and only cuts in if you start to get sideways. Cool sleeper street hustle: assuming engine/exhaust mode (NPP only?) is set to default to drive mode, when you pull up to that kid in a loud jacked-up muscle car: put it in neutral and drive mode to Snow/Ice (puts exhaust in Stealth mode - sounds like a V6) and rev a couple of times to get his attention - He'll (it's always a he) rev to show his loud exhaust. While he's doing this, hit the Drive mode 'up' side once (Track mode) and hit TC button twice (Comp mode) and you're ready to rumble!
U dont need to start the car to roll the windows back up just press the start button to turn on power and roll your windows up, same goes for your radio just press the power button to turn on the radio both times u dont need to start the engine
