Fun fact in the Dub, Reiner says "Remember that one time I almost got squished by Annie?" Its a slip up, because Reiner wasn't there when Annie revealed herself in the city. He shouldn't have known Annie was the Female yet.

Hannes looking relieved during his death makes sense when you consider how much he despised himself for not confronting the titan that killed Eren’s mom when he had the chance. Now that he died fighting it he probably felt relief that he made the right choice back then by saving Eren and Mikasa instead.

You just experienced what the characters experienced, all of that happened within a day or two in-universe lol

Reiner was able to lift the titan because titans are much lighter than they look compared to their mass. there was one scene of HAnji explaining it to Eren during that night they spend together talking about titans Remember when Armin told Reiner and Jean to hide their faces when attacking the female titan but Reiner took off his hoodie to be visible to the female titan? He didnt want to get crushed by Annie ^^

Omg you’re the only reactor I’ve seen acknowledge Ymir’s romantic relationship with krista and find her interesting as a character! Ymir is one of my favorite character and she was in season one though rarely!

The fact that Raiju was completely in the dark and had no clue what was happening leading up to Ymir, Bertholdt, and Reiner reveal made the reactions so much better lol. Especially with Ymir, his face lit up like 😲 as soon as the transformation sparks happened and everything clicked at once for him.

Yeah Ymir was in season one, mostly only during the Christa and Sasha potato scene. She was also in the line up I think, but she was mostly in the background. Just like how Annie was in the background for season 1 part 1 till part 2 happened.

You'll probably want to binge the next season in two sessions (one for each arc). The first half starts a bit slow, but trust in it. The second half will permanently raise your bar for entertainment/storytelling. Good luck, and cant wait for the upload 😎

They said it before in season 1 about why titans go after titan shifters. Apparently it’s because they’re basically bigger humans, so more for the titans to eat. So thats why the titans were attacking Reiner / The Armored Titan. Also, make sure to watch the end credits sequence for season 3 episode 12/ episode 49. Its really cool 😉

Hope you keep with the entire series there are a lot of twists & turns. Some are just so damn good and there is so, so much more. Also the editing is so good lol

back in the day i also binge watched this season and i honestly think it's the best way to consume it because the amount of insane cliffhangers in it would've killed me if i'd have had to wait for each episode weekly, i'm sure of that. i also do a whole binge whenever i rewatch as well, it's really just the type of non-stop action & non-stop reveal season where stopping is not really an option, it's so damn enjoyable even on a rewatch. considering how between s1 and s2 there were 4 freaking years a lot of people thought back in those days that the studio made a misstep in waiting for so long and kinda letting the hype die down, but as soon as the season dropped it was just so strong and solid that even the 4 year gap couldn't touch it. it's honestly one of my fav second seasons to a show and i thoroughly enjoyed your reaction to it!

Also, just wanted to say in another comment that the reason they didn’t transform before Ymir was cause they would never expose themselves unless they were about to die, which was not the case. They were mostly just stranded. There was still plenty of time to stall and wait to see what happened. More importantly, the beast titan was their ally as Reiner stated later. They were never in much danger at all.

I love it because it kinda proves that he made the right call back in shiganshina. He would have gotten killed and the kids would have died if he had tried to face the Smiling Titan. The Ymir-Christa-Connie centered episodes has good many breadcrumbs of Reiner's identity. - him consoling Connie & being on the backfoot reg Connie's mom titan - implies he knows the secret of the identity of titans ( that they're humans ) - with Ymir - he figured out Ymir, clear... but it's a red herring... (literally & figuratively damn it lmao). Reiner understood 'herring' , something found only in salt water bodies, meaning Ymir figured out Reiner as well. - then the obv giveaway with Bertholdt's 'warrior' reference, which confirmed Bertholdt's secret identity as well. (provided one remembers Annie's words)
