I booked the "CHEAPEST" Room in TRAVELODGE

That Travelodge is only about 10, or maybe 12, years old. The view of the old Royal Mail site brings back some memories. I can't believe they turned it into a builders yard.

Travelodge have upgraded their rooms to superooms in lots of their hotels . They are really great . They use robotic vacuum cleaners to do the floors and that’s why there is the gaps under the bed .

The bed sheets looked newly laundered and clean. I think it's fair to say the hair you found came off the person who made up the bed and not from the previous occupant. I know it was a short little strand, like you (and me) the room cleaner may have had a short beard and as we know, they shed 🤭 The shower cap, towel and brush......Brilliant 🤣🤣 Love your videos Dan, especially the one's in my home town and, where I live, Blackpool.

I run a chained hotel. Most housekeepers get around 20 mins per room so I can defend that a bit. Deep cleans could be done on regular intervals but does depend on the site / companies 👍🏻😁

Rooms are numbered with floor numbers so room 418 means 4th floor, room 18. If 418 is the highest number that means they have 72 rooms over 4 floors.

Another cracking video mate and to be honest I don't really understand why people complain about Travelodge hotels, but I've always had good experiences personally. I live in South west Birmingham, but if ever want to get away, but not travel far, I stay at the Travelodge at Frankley services on the M5 only a couple of miles from me and it's always been more than good enough to me.

I stayed in my first Travelodge last May South Shore Blackpool me and my 28 yr old son Twin Room £105 Mon-Fri was spotless clean had an accessible room, they took my mobility scooter in for me let me charge it every night etc i couldnt ask for any better

It's the people that use the place that gives the place the bad reputation not the hygiene of the place. The Travelodge hotels I have stayed in are usually very good, but there is the odd one that's got a bad reputation.

Thanks for showing how a basic clean makes a major difference. I'm sure my night shots at my own toilet would show up, but daily disinfectant fixes this. I don't expect to get people pay to stay and experience my misjudgement.

Travelodge & Premier Inn also popular with cyclists. Can take bike into room and check in as late or check out as early as you wish. Ive checked in at 1am before and on another occasion checked out at 4am. Premier Inn includes free wi fi and are a tad nicer but not much in it... imho. Keep the videos coming Dan 👍

Hi Dan, we love your hotel reviews. I've done a bit of investigating of what colour certain bodily fluids are under UV light and I thought I'd share with you. So urine is green, semen is blue, saliva is black and blood is red. Hope this is of use to you to distinguish what's on the walls, toilet, beds etc. Have fun in the future, and let people on YT know what it is they're looking at with your UV light 😂

We’ve just returned from staying in a travellodge and no real complaints. It was warm and clean. Only couple of things. No cabinet beside the beds for drink. Phone etc and the extractor fan in the bathroom wasn’t working, but on the whole an enjoyable stay for the price per night

Stayed a couple of nights in Birmingham at a Travelodge. Was okay, except the staff were making sure you had a small breakfast

When we go away we only use Travel lodged the best one that we have found is at Holburn in london its right near all the shops and a 15 minutes to st James's park

Stay in Travelodge anywhere i go and yet to run into a problem in 10 years. Also worked there for a short while, and most have a very high standard of hygiene when cleaning rooms. Most also change the mattress every 6 months to the new one they use. Duvet, pillow cases and in some cases even pillows are changed after every stay. They give you 10 - 20 mins per room to clean so thumbs up to the cleaners. The pace they work at is quite something. Obviously you get a few exceptions but Travelodge is top notch

I do like travelodge hotel always clean and comfortable but I do think they should Use protectors on beds and pillow I would also hope they would be sanitised As needed .

Travel lodge mattresses are grim and often the pillows are quite grim too. Its not the staff its the company being tight. Staff arent allowed enough time to clean thoroughly and wages are poor. They do their very best

I like Travelodge it is quite good. I find Premier Inn becoming over priced and a bit pretentious nowadays and I would use Travelodge over it any day.

I would rather find one ginormous hair on the bed than a bunch of short ones.😂🤮😂

The wife and I satayed in travelog twice once in Morecambe when work was being done to our house. Once in Manchester when we went to a wedding both times was ok for us

I have always found Travelodges ok but the only hotel i have stayed in in Bradford was an Ibis Budget which was pretty close to that area although I don't know if it's still there.

I didn't see anyone answer this but the number of rooms is probably around 60. The first number for the rooms is the floor they are on. Also I carry around a UV light for years in real life, mostly to embarrass friends and family. It's a real double edge sword. I suggest using UV glasses to get better contrast and protect your eyes. The stains might show up on camera better too.

I'm reasonably well travelled around the UK, and I stayed in a Travelodge for the first time 2 years ago. We stayed down in Winchester for the Xmas Market, and it was shocking. It was filthy and absolutely stank of damp to the point that we got home and our clothes and suitcase stunk too. £72 for a family room, and if it wasn't December and freezing I'd have slept in the car

The Campanile in Glasgow is an experience. Work booked several of us in there when down for a meeting. It was ...interesting

I stayed in a Travelodge when I stayed in high Wycombe. It’s was full of homeless, drugs and the car park was a very dangerous place after dark. Apparently it’s still the same. I stayed in another Travelodge in Liverpool One, and that was fine bar the midnight fire alarm and we all had to plough out onto the street in our Jim jams haha. Travelodge is very hit and miss. Mostly they’re okay.

The travel lodge is a bit of a lucky dip!! We’ve stayed at the one in Tunbridge Wells twice, the first time the room was modern and really clean and in the basement and the second time we were put on the top floor, it stunk of sewage, had a bathroom that looked like it was put in in the 1970’s and the bed was really uncomfortable if you sat on the edge of it, but they only give you 1 chair so you have no choice!! It was £120 for one of the nights and there were drunk council homeless people everywhere! Breakfast was always good though, even if dinner was abysmal and the staff were lovely!

I think they ment the dodgy people that stay there not actually the room itself..

We’ve stayed in many travelodges over the years. Never had a problem.

My daughter and I booked to stay in Travel lodge on Worthing seafront a few years ago and we arrived a 10. 30pm, we were greeted by an intimidating looking group of men smoking on the steps leading up to the entrance, next their was a “ receptionist” who looked like she had been dragged through a hedge backwards, she told us where to go to our room, my daughter went up in the lift, it was tiny and with both of us and our luggage there was no way I was getting in that,so I went up the stairs, on our landing there was a massive hole in the wall and detritus all over the “ carpet” the room was very basic, we really didn’t expect anything else but we did expect it to be clean. We had to stay that night, we weren’t about to start wandering about at that time of night but we did hand the keys back first thing the next morning, never again ! The only good thing about Travel lodge was that we were given a full refund after my daughter e mailed them and complained.

I'm Bradford Born and bred, I think it's the dodgy part of town where the Travelodge is located.

One i stayed in was 29.99 plus unlimited breakfast for around a tenner. I was so full l didnt need lunch or dinner out so £40 - £30 saved on 2 meals = room for a tenner in my book!

Go to the scarborough one in the square. Very old building and its a bit of a funny up and down the stairs shape. Still great for the price.

I'd stay here, except maybe for football nights. The beds might benefit from having mattress covers to protect them from the various things that happen to them.

Stay in a Britannia hotel and I'm sure you'll find something. The worst brand of Hotels in the UK.

At least that one has a lift, the travelodge opposite Leeds Bradford airport doesn’t which is crazy for an airport hotel.

It’s almost sweat stains Dan but there’s no excuse and the price they charge they’ve money to change mattresses .... I do stay in a travel lodge if I go out of town and to be honest we’ve not had a problem only once in London we asked for a triple room (as granddaughter was staying with us) the room was filthy ..we did go down to tell someone about it but they’d not got another triple room available so they gave us 2 rooms (on separate floors) me and granddaughter stayed in one and hubby on his own and gave us a complementary breakfast and a stay at any travel lodge which I thought was reasonable ...but believe me Dan when I say filthy I’m mean HANGING 🤮

Used to quite often stay in Travelodge. Never had a problem. They are basic and usually clean and the windows close.

I use this place as it's so much cheaper than Leeds, with station to Leeds next door. If l am with my wife then whenever you leave, for a drink or whatever, you are asked if you are coming back. 😂 The rooms are cheap but the same room is prob sold more than once a day......

Re the night workers.Guessing more likely to attract the clientele where the customer books the room and the provider comes to the hotel not the street type.

I feel the worst part of that room was the bed and not the most important part to be the cleanest even though the rooms were dust free still doesn't make it right that bed is disgusting and I would never sleep in it

I'm in Birmingham and a place called sheldon has a travelodge and I had to be moved well I slept on my dad's chair it was that bad .Rat poop in reception, which I missed as I never thought to look down unfortunately 😮also the hair in the bed and toenails on the floor were terrible. Then I was moved to travelodge fort dunlop by the fort shopping park, and it wasn't as bad but still very dirty .I think it's a common theme with this firm or franchise. Abhorrent and abysmal 😮
