The geode pocket ones. I like cleaning up the crystals and then polish up the agate banding. Makes it a 2 for one!

That's quite the haul of Brazilians. They are one of my favorite agates to cut and polish. I'm also a cabochon cutter and a lot of those would be great for cutting slabs. I think the larges purchase of Brazilians I've made over the years was 200 lbs, so you've got me beat by quite a bit. Congrats. You have just secured about 50 new videos! Enjoy. I know I would and do.

I'm kind of speechless. I have never seen Brazilian agates before; they are gorgeous. I can't even imagine how much you paid in shipping fees; regardless, it looks like it was well worth it. Look forward to the slicing reveals, although I'm with you in thinking that a lot of them are just too beautiful as is, to cut.

That is a lot of rock to deal with. I think I would be overwhelmed with that much agate. Usps must of had loads of fun delivering that stuff.

May I suggest the thinner pieces you have off to the side and not sure what to do with, cut them and use them as bases to supports for specimen agates. I do that often with them. Also the round leftover end cuts make beautiful full moons.

I’d have a hard time cutting some of them. So many DIY’s come to mind. Great score ! I’m from up north, 70ish miles. Nice to see a minnesota guy who loves rocks !

Boy oh boy! What a haul! So much beauty! You ought to find a relaxing place to hang out in your backyard and plant a rock garden. That way you can just sit back and enjoy all the beauty around you.

I couldn't pick ones to sell!! I would become emotionally attached to each one!

As a massage therapist, I recommend getting that bucket of water up a little higher so you aren't bending so much.

The wife and I have been waiting on pins and needles for this since we first saw it listed! These are how I remember agates from rockhounding with my grandfather 60 years ago. Taylor I expect we'll see many many good vids from this haul.

I have never gasped so much over Agates in my life. Wish they were the kind that were featured every Fall at my Cities Gem and Mineral Show.

The thin piece with water level bands would be nice cut up and polished. Then drill a hole in the end and it’s an epic piece for a necklace.

Such a cool collection! There are some definite beauties in this bunch that stand out from the rest. Looking forward to seeing them getting cut. Liked and shared.

You might be able to sell some of the thin pieces to someone who makes cabs. The chunky one could be sold as bookends - many people just need one book end so you wouldn't need to have pairs, I use to make gem trees and always looked for smaller chunks of stuff to mount my trees on. Small pieces are good for people who want a piece of agate but can't afford anything bigger. Especially true for junior rock hounds. Smaller pieces could be sold to someone who wire wraps. I'm sure you'll not get "stuck" with any. Great video - so much fun to see so much and such a variety of pieces.

It would be so amazing to be able to polish the raw but broken ones and still preserve the natural fractures! You can add varnish and stuff, but it's not the same as a good polish

Very very cool! About a year ago I bought 30lbs of agates (and the box look just like yours did when it arrived). They're larger types so they can't be cut easily in my 6" Cabking slicer so I keep them in a 5lb bucket next to my chair and like to look at them. Eventually I'll get around to cutting them. Can't believe you bought over 300lbs! You'll be busy for years. 6:01 was my favorite. I love the Carnelian almost caramel candy look of it.

In my over 60 years of rockhounding experience of buying and selling, with all due respect, I think those agates of mostly second grade. But that’s how you gain experience. Love watching when you cut them though. Good luck.

That large piece just before the 5min mark. The one that's been cut and sorta polished. I'd definitely keep that if I were you. I'd just finish the polish all around and that's it. No need to cut that beautiful piece.

Hey Taylor ​​⁠@AgateDad I have seen on other people RU-vid pages that people that have those big agates and medium size agate and Geo agates and they can’t polish them on their king cab or they don’t have a king cab because the agates are too big I’ve seen people use a handheld polisher to clean up their faces and everything and it has all the different grits that you need as well. And as for the agates with the crystals in them, you could use that handheld polisher and polish them up and sell them on your store and people will buy those up because people love them when they are all polished up. Oh and also you can get a smaller handheld tool to polish in the places that you can’t get with the bigger polish anyways I thought I would tell you what I have seen on other people’s RU-vid page as always I love your page and your videos I have been watching you since you started your RU-vid channel

You should have the bucket on top of the table so that you’re not bending forward straining your back as your washing 300+ pounds of rock. The more that you can do in a standing position the better it will be for your lower back.
