I think it made a world of difference, but I also like that it didn’t take all the colour out. It wasn’t ugly before, but I like the contrast of the white and the yellow. Though totally white will be pretty too, I think it just depends on your preference and taste.
I was just door dashing and stumbled upon a gravel pit today. Found 4 nice chunky agates! I wish I had a bigger saw lmao, I think mines 5in and the agates are far larger than that diameter :')
AgateDad Have you heard of Bulgarian Arda Jasper?? It’s a new orbicular Jasper deposit with tiny little agate orbs kind of like Ocean Jasper from Madagascar or or Poppy Jasper from Morgan Hill.

Beautiful area, but also mysteriously dangerous. Several people have disappeared, and skeletal remains have been uncovered. My sibling suffered nearly fatal injuries after crashing in a wash in that exact location. There are quite a bit of ancient native foot paths out there too...( Maybe the area has some suffering souls lingering around.) Very nice area, just be cautious, and don't wander at night.(lots of coyotes and wild dogs) I ran into some Mountain Lion dens myself... It's one of the few areas left where they can roam free and unbothered.
AD, I agree with the other comments about the third piece you cut as being the best, BUT I wonder what one cross section through one of the thickenings or rings would've looked like as well... Just wondering.
Thats crazy cool I love thoses too iam a freaken rock hound too was just getting into cutting them with a tile saw but then I had it all stolen from me but that's ok one day soon i will again I live in California northern California and we have some beautiful rocks here too
