Most important part/parts is just knowing all of your animals care guidelines! Enclosure, diet, lighting, temp etc!

Question of the day: When taking home a new living thing of any sort, wherever you get it, keep in mind whether or not you're prepared to take care of the responsibility ask yourself Do you know the care requirements of this animal? Do you have a complete comfortable habitat/environment at home/and potentially a back up one if the enclosure breaks or something goes horribly wrong? ( like a big tub for a large snake, or an old aquarium in your garage, that can keep your animal happy until you find another living space for them) Do you have the money to continue taking care of their exhibit/feed them/treat any medical issues that may happen down the line? Worst case scenario will I be bankrupt, will my pet be ok? Am I moving soon? Am I responsible enough? Am I prepared for the mental anguish of a pet eventually dying? Do I have help emotionally if so? Do I have pet sitting when I take a trip? Do I really have respect for animals or do I just think they're pretty toys? Will I get bored? Am I impulse buying/can I afford that/does that align with my morals? Do I have a plan in case anything goes wrong? What if animals I'm cohabing end up making offspring/hurt each other? Do I live with anyone who would have a problem with this or an allergy to this animal? Do I have a resource to buy food and veterinary help for them near where I live? Would you be comfortable with someone else buying this animal with the answers you given, do you think they would be prepared if they said what you said? 💫Write a pros and cons list💫 (If this matters to you) , are you hurting the environment somehow/ did the person who captures or breeds these animals to sell them to you do that humanely?

Most important thing! Whether they are captive bred or wild caught! It’s crucial for both the animal and the species that you buy captive bred if at all possible!

Awesome video bro!! Was lots of fun hanging with you at the expo as always! My response to question of the day is to always be prepared ahead for the trip home, both when its super hot or super cold! Also update on the mountain horned dragons, they were not a pair hahaha!

the most important thing to remember when you buy an animal at an expo is, you want to make sure what you're buying is, in fact, the animal advertised, and that you're properly set up to take care of said animal.

In answer to the QOTD, I think that NOT buying an animal solely on a whim is the most important thing to consider an expo. We obviously go to see cool animals, but we can’t let the excitement blind us to the fact that the animal will live a long time and you have to be as excited to take care of it as you were to purchase it.

The most important thing to do is to be prepared before you go. I already have plans for what I am hoping to pick up at the next expo so I will ensure that the enclosure is all ready beforehand. Also, for name suggestions you should consider naming your new crocodile skinks after the dragons from Game of Thrones (Drogon, Rhaegal & Visereon) and/or members of House Targaryen like Danerys. I'm not sure if you are into Game of Thrones, but that's my humble suggestion. Great content and I hope to see you at an upcoming expo.

This is probably the best expo I’ve ever seen. One expo I went to there was a booth ONLY selling killer bees and spider ball pythons and every single one had extremely bad head wobble and spine kinks and the guy told me that they were healthy and they were priced at 3-5k. They were pretty big and extremely underweight it made me sick😒

Question of the Day: most important thing to consider, if getting a pet from an expo - making sure you have planned ahead, so you have a proper habitat ready for them, when they get home.

Do not buy an animal on a whim, make sure you are already set up to bring them home! Congrats on the rhino rats… it’s my dream snake! They need a duo name… sonny and Cher! Are they blue line?

For me the most important part of buying an animal is if it still lives and if it still lives it needs some good health and I don’t like buying wild caught stuff

The most important thing before going to an expo is to be fully prepared and responsible. Ask yourself these questions : - If something happens to me, what will happen to this animal? / is there someone I know that could take care of this animal while I’m away? - What are the proper husbandry parameters? - Is the landlord allowing reptiles? - Is there an exotic vet in the area? Etc.. Don’t impulse buy an animal if proper research isn’t done, know the species you are looking for. Also, prepare quarantine setups and lots of cash 🤣 Oh and don’t forget to look up the breeder you’re buying from to make sure you share the same vision on ethics and husbandry. Last but not least, don’t be afraid to ask questions to the breeders. * Ask questions to the breeder to make sure you buy from a good reputable breeder. Unfortunately, I won’t say names, but I know there were a few breeders selling only fed mealworms to leopard gecko, selling snakes and lying about the morphs or species..
