Congratulations Andrew! Floor plan reminds me of our first Newell #529 that you used to detail for us! Your smile is priceless and we are very happy for you two. You deserve it and yes... work hard and dreams can come true!!
@@stansmith5610 This guy mentions the damn company name every other word!! Makes me think he’s a paid “influencer” definitely wouldn’t pay the price they charge is outrageous!
Early 2000’s. That means Darrell probably had this coach the day Dale Earnhardt died. The same day Michael Waltrip won his first race, the Daytona 500. And of course Earnhardt Junior came in second. Darrell was calling the race that day from the Booth. Darrell started to cry when he saw that his brother had won the Daytona 500. And was devastated to learn that Dale had died. It’s a beautiful coach for sure, with an interesting history.Everybody still misses Dale.
I love the retro, but I'm an old guy and it gives me a warm fuzzy feeling. I would keep it all original even the "Prince" inspired purple bedding. Have fun and enjoy.
Well Done! Love older coaches that were done right...A true classic....I have a 98 CC Magna and it blows my mind how well these older coaches are built(and you bought top of class). Dual axel, Detroit series 60(mine too), 2 slide and a 45...... You nailed it! Well done Andrew and Shay(I hope I spelled that right). I love the interior. Its quality and cool!
So happy for the both of you, please please take us a long on your journey to updating this classic coach, she's beautiful but I'm excited to see what touches you do to update it.
My 2001 Safari sahara 40ft makes my heart pound ! I tear and get exited and start it , hearing that musical Cummings diesel ,then I jump outside and go around and around admiring it for a long time , it's my big baby , love it ! It's like a bus,a truck ,a home , huge heavy house on wheels , can't say enough about it 🤥
Andrew this is so exciting. Have never personally met you but after watching most of your videos over the past couple of years I feel like I know you! Coach is awesome! And Shay is a great addition to the channel. Looking forward to some of your adventures together. Hope to use your services someday!
Real happy for you Andrew. Great satisfaction knowing that you paid pennies on the dollar for a great coach. Good luck learning the systems. It takes a while. We are two years into our Wanderlodge and we are still learning but it comes with experience. Keep us updated on your updates. Really appreciate the channel. I like to compare the older coaches with one another and to our 06 Wanderlodge. Thanks again.
Super excited for you guys! I'm definitely loving the interior! I can see why you chose the Newell over the non slide LIberty! Like you said, I think some tobacco wood flooring in place of the carpet, some ceiling fabric touch ups, switch out that bedding and headboard, and dinette fabric, and you will be set! I actually like all the other interior colors. Also, very surprised at how much room it has with the slides in! Can't wait to see the slides out! 👍👍
The first video I ever saw of you guys was this morning I watched the fire God bless you both and now I'm seeing this and how happy you were again God bless you both
First off Andrew, congrats on your new to you coach! Love the Newells and this looks in great shape. You really can't go wrong with the series 60's! Just an FYI, brass is making it's way back! Waltrip has a dealership not far from us, may have to pay him a visit, Super nice guy and I met him when the new Nascar track opened here in Gladeville, TN. The truck series was running there then! Looking forward to seeing more video's on the drive and slides out!
@@MaximusMerideus coming back in residential also. I agree with Joe. Seems like things go away and then come back. Kind of like subway tile that has been in for quite a few years and won't be long it will go and then come back. Was used years ago and made a come back. That full circle again..
@@jimg2885 Fair enough. I'm not sure I would want that crappy looking 1990's brass for my fixtures but I do like the deep rich bronze fixtures that I see. That being said, I'll be the first one to admit I was wrong. Thanks for your comment and may you and your family have a healthy and prosperous 2022 and beyond.
@@MaximusMerideus you also. Stay safe and healthy. I also love the look of the dark bronze. I believe you are talking about what they call oil rubbed bronze. That is sweet looking. Take care..
A huge congratulations to you both! Finally after all the teasing you actually have your Newell with dancing poles and bells 🔔. It’s just gorgeous and by the time you have left your mark on this motorhome it will reflect your characteristics throughout. You must be over the moon 🌙 and I wish you both safe travels into the future 🙏🏻💕🚀💫
So hyped for this video. Im in the 🇬🇧 and even though we don’t get many RVs like US does, I Love the channel and your positivity Andrew. So great to see you being so honest with your viewers, rare thing these days.
Congratulations you two! I subscribed to your channel almost from it’s beginning and have found it to be a great resource for information. It’s also very entertaining. You’ve come a long way Andrew! Congratulations also on developing the channel. It’s great to see your success and the industry support you’ve earned.
Bro, super awesome!! Happy for you. Great choice!! I think with all the promotions you’ve done for Newell, they should have you bring it tot be factory, and offer you sone interior updates as a bonus😉
CONGRATULATION ANDREW! GORGEOUS COACH! Darrell Waltrip has a big car dealership here in Middle Tennessee if you come through Franklin TN. You could stop in and see if he's there and ask him about the history of the coach.
Congratulations Andrew!!! That’s an awesome coach and even better that it was Darrell Waltrip’s!!! Looks like you both will enjoy it to the fullest. Yes make some videos of the test drive and all of the upgrades that you do to it. Like to see all of the ins and outs of the progress of a remodel and upgrade to it. Can’t wait to see the finished product and get one of my own soon!!!
Congratulations to you both, on your first Newell!! How very exciting for you, enjoy! I'm looking forward to the many videos with you and your Newell! Wonderful memories to come!! Congratulations 🎊!!!!
Congratulations again on the awesome new coach. Very cool that it belonged to Darrell Waltrip. I am sure if you reached out to him he would definitely give you lots of history about the coach.
Congratulations Andrew. I've watched a lot of your videos over the last year but never have I watched one twice! Shay and your excitement are so genuine I said you know what that was fun I'm going to watch that again. Enjoy the fruits of your labors my man.
Congrats man! I see a DW interview in your future. Sounds like he’s owned several Newell’s. Would be some good content as he’s about as entertaining as they come.
Congratulations! Beautiful coach. I will say having a dog with light hair and dark wood floors, you can constantly see the dog hair on the floors. I think I remember you having a light colored dog as well and we have decided lighter color floors if we have an option in the future!
Looking forward to watching you transform and do the updates. Especially excited to watch when you do any electrical (efficiency) upgrades. Replace all those small bulbs with LEDs! Batteries! And the list will keep growing.
You did good Andrew, that’s a amazing coach. Your smile says it all. Time to make some memories. I wholeheartedly hope you thoroughly enjoy your travel time.
Boogity, Boogity, Boogity… LETS GO RACING BOYS!!! Im very happy for you guys and happy for your channel. Love your videos Andrew, good luck moving forward and hopefully a great 2022. Im looking forward to your journeys in this coach. 👍👍👍
Just a little history for you if you didn't know. That is the exact coach Darrell sat in while talking to Michael on the phone after Michaels Daytona 500 win in 2001 where Dale Sr died.
❤❤ Congratulations on your newly acquired house on wheels. Also, happy new years. No DEF 👍👍 I would carry extra oil and fuel filters. Also, when getting fuel at a TA truck stop try to get a directory of locations. They are authorized Freightliner repair centers ( not that you would ever need one). Last I knew, Freightliner owned detroit diesel. I got over 1 million miles out of a detroit 60 series. 👍👍
Newell Coaches are built in my small hometown in Oklahoma. One of my classmates was head of customer service and delivered most of the coaches around that time. He delivered to NASCAR drivers and other celebs. He most likely delivered that unit.
Great coach Andrew, I'm super happy for you. You might want to check out the space over the washer dryer area. After looking at this video I could see what looked like you may have had a mouse in your house guy. That can happen in a coach.
@@SoapsLuvr I'm not understanding what you are talking about. What does my saying it looked like they had a mouse over the top of the washer dryer area have to do with the fire? And before you reply, I suggest you look at the video again and when it comes to the place where they are looking at the cabinet area over the washer dryer stop the video and look at that area. I'm an older RV'er and know what it looks' like when there has been a mouse that has gotten into an RV, they tend to leave their little tell tale signs.
Hi Andrew..First off, congratulations on the Newell..a pinnacle in the RV Industry. I've been on the sales end of the industry for 17 years with a "wrench turner" back round and a few years away from retirement. I've settled on either a "vintage" Country Coach or as Newell to take advantage of the extreme quality that both brands brought to the industry. You'll have years of RV'ng pleasure with your new ride!
Congratulations!!! Great to see you in a Newell Andrew. I started to fall in love with Newell ever since you have been doing videos in Oklahoma. Now after you get her all buttoned up you need to drag race Stapleton42, that would be a great video! :) You deserve all the success in the world, thank you for your hard work and dedication. Cheers!
I'm super stoked for u both. This is cool been on the journey since around 20k subs back in your Tiffin Phaeton days. Can't wait to see the new videos on this
Awesome!!! That WAS a Beautiful motor coach!! I just watched your other video of this magnificent coach destroyed by the fire.😭 That's so sad, y'all probably had some awesome fun living & driving that coach. I know y'all had to be heartbroken to watch it go up in flames....😭
Congrats to Andrew and Shea on the purchase of their new coach. Very nice shape and with a few minor changes, it will look top notch. I like the way you said this closet will be for all of our shoes.....a word of advice, just give all the back closet area to Shea and you take one of the mid coach closets for yourself Andrew........happy wife(girlfriend), happy life!! Drive safe and have fun. Look forward to more about your new ride.
Great smiles. Really happy for you both. Wow, headroom. Excited for you. Neat to have Darrell Waltrip's coach, great driver and person. You will really hit it off when you meet. You may want to save those pillows for him. Happy trails!
A great looking coach. Reminds me of the two best days of owning a RV, the day you buy it and the day you sell it, We purchased a 2004 Adventurer in 2007 and sold it in 2018
Congrats! Im not surprised what great condition its in, people spend those kinda bucks on anything they aren’t gonna rag it out. Congrats on owning a newell
Congratulations on your new RV. It’s got to be so exciting exploring every inch of it. I can’t wait to be in your shoes. We are finding it difficult choosing which RV to go after. Have fun you two. 😎👍
What a great find! Fantastic shape, what a fun coach to have. I'll be a Daytona for ROAR + 24RACE if you are in the area, I'd love to see that one. I'm positive I have the brochure!
You and Shay are a cute couple. Walking through your new motorhome was like a couple of kids on Christmas morning. I would love to see a video of the two of you going RV'ing instead of doing commercials for RV dealers. I'm willing to bet your viewers would agree.
Congrats A nice coach With true NASCAR history I believe this is the coach that Darrell W had at the 2001 Daytona 500 Where Darrell’s brother, Michael, won the Daytona 500 and where Dale Earnhardt passed away By the way Darrell was announcing this race for Fox TV A historic coach for sure!!!
Wait, isn't this the one that burnt down? Mann seeing the fire video first, then stumbling across this one was tough. Watching this video already knowing what the future held for you guys and that coach is sad.
Sweet Newell Andrew and Shaye!! DW and Stevie would've only stayed in this on race weekends, so for the 4 years that he owned this, it wouldn't have been used very many nights,, plus they don't smoke, and it was cleaned every week for the upcoming weekend. Another BIG Plus+ = NO Emission System, NO DEF !! As I told you earlier, I remember these coaches from back in the day at the races. I don't know if you've noticed, but the generator exhaust exits through the roof, so its not aimed at you or your neighbor, which was a big deal back then, as most of the parking at the tracks was close quarter dry camping, nothing like it is today. I hope it's all you've dreamed of, and much more!,👍🇺🇸
@@RVingwithAndrewSteele I can remember Felix Sabates, Dale Earnhardt, and DW all 3 having Newells at some point in the late 90's and early 2000's. Please tell your wife that I apologize if I butchered the spelling of her name. 🤦♂️
Hi Andrew. Congratulations on the purchase. I own a 2002 Prevost Marathon with a series 60 engine with about the same miles as yours. If this engine maintenance has not been done it needs it immediately. Do a complete overhead adjustment which includes valve adjustment, injector height adjustment, and Jake brake adjustment if you have them, and pull at least one valve seal to see if they are leaking. Mine were but it was not found until I replaced the exhaust manifold and turbo for Pittsburg power equipment. When they found the leaking valve seals, they had to do the overhead things again. Expensive for sure. Further, I would suggest replacing all the brake hoses and air bags if they are original to the coach. They can check the brake pads and make sure the air brake system is working properly. Then you can join the happy crowds at the fuel stops. Have fun.
Congratulations Shay and Andrew on your NEWell Coach. I've never owned a Class A Coach ( yet ), but have had the opportunity to drive several Newell's and Prevost models from the Midwest to Florida, Texas & Arizona for senior owners who didn't want to deal with various state requirements. So for now, I'll just live my Mototcoach travels vicariously through your posts. Enjoy!
It beautiful can’t wait to see all the updates you do. Congratulations enjoy. It’s just awesome that good o boy D W ( Boogie Boogie Boogie) was a former owner !!!
Damn! I am watching this again now and CONGRADULATIONS! I am in LOVE with this coach!!!! Come to SW Florida...Ft. Myers and I will have a spot for you to use on the lake at an RV Resort!
