Landscapers love long lens photography. But what about REALLY long lens photography?? Back in October 2021 I purchased a 2032-mm telescope to rig to my camera as the ultimate telephoto. Here are some of my first moments with it.

So a Celestron NexStar 8SE 2000mm f/10. I should try that with a Speedbooster XL on my Lumix micro 4/3 to get a 2560mm f/6.4

When I saw how much of the frame the moon filled up I thought "how is he going to get a good landscape photo then?" but when you explained you'll be taking multiple photos and merging them together I went "Aaaaaah" :D How necessary is the reference image when doing this? Great video btw :)

In addition to your videos I follow a few of your peers as well to continue learning new techniques. In comparing them, you might want to consider being a bit more animated and expressive in your videos so they don’t appear as though the viewer is watching paint dry. lol. Seriously now, great to see a new video and while most of us don’t have access to this telescope, the technique of compressing the image remains another great example of composition under the right circumstances. Looking forward to other applications using your new ‘toy’. We’ll be watching...
