I Bought a 2023 RAM 1500 eTorque Hemi Limited for $63K - What is eTorque? 

Randy if you don’t trust the cars and trucks you buy and sell neither will we. Not being critical just an observation from someone who won’t pay 63,000 for a truck.

I love how Randy will buy a truck and then sells it because he doesn’t need a 80k truck then he’ll buy a base model truck and then he’ll upgrade again I love this trend Randy!!!

Keep an eye on the inside portion of the rear window. The plastic frames are known to crack and cause water intrusion which can destroy the RF module and leave you stranded. Ram recently just released a TSB for this issue. Also, the infamous wet headliner is a 3rd brake light or shark fin antenna leak. Awesome trucks otherwise! 202 Ram 1500 Laramie 5.7L 4x4 eTorque.

I just bought a 2023 1500 classic Warlock, i saved 9 grand, list was $52,000 and i paid $42,800, you got an AMAZING deal saving that much. You know they had/have problems with the E-torque and there was/is a recall. Mine is the quad cab so it has the 6 ft 4 inch bed, a Tacoma or Ridgeline costs at least what i paid so i am happy to get a full-sized RAM that will last.

I always find it interesting when people start lecturing you about what you should and shouldn't buy and how you should do it. I’m with you on the sunroof, have had them on several cars and almost never open them.

Don't forget to change that belt on the etorque every 24k miles, and plugs every 30k per owners manual (plugs used to be 100k on Rams). At least a couple hundred every time unless you do it yourself. Don't wanna void that warranty, LOL.

Great show! I just bought a 23 Ram Big horn I was eyeing since Sept of 23. The msrp was $61k and my OTD price was $49,329. It has the V8 with tow haul an equip group 1 only. This was in southern Michigan and I used my cousins Employee Choice and my 1st responder $500. Incentive. 👏👏👏👏 3-22-24

The raptor has a 6.2L, there is a guy that gets 500K out of his 6.2L work trucks on the oil fields. They are extremely reliable trucks.

When I sold cars back in the mists of time, I used to wrap temp tags in packing tape for my customers. New Hampshire's temp tags would disintegrate almost immediately after getting wet.

Randy trust me I completely understand why you went with a new truck. When my mom brought a used escape it’s needed tires and I had to replace a crankcase pressure sensor that is built into a hose all together. There were a few other things it needed until finally it got right. Used cars are also way overpriced to for the value of the cars. The whole tax write off thing I now understand I have been watching this other guy name Anton Daniels channel on RU-vid explaining all the things about that. I completely understand all that now I always wonder why you do that, but after watching that guy’s channel of him explaining in full complete detail how RU-vidrs do this as a tax write off and everything I completely understand.

My cousin bought this exact truck but his is a metallic grey with the night package. All of the chrome is black on his truck and he loves it. And I can’t lie, it one of the nicest trucks and best riding out there.

Great truck randy. 😊 we had a 19 e torque in our shop. The person neglected the oil change for 75 thousand miles. Yes you read that right 😂. Its sad someone did this to the poor truck. I mean how can you the damn thing tells you at least hey change your damn oil. But no not this guy. I give props to the truck for lasting 75 thousand on original oil. But was so sludged up we had to replace the motor. Damage was already done.

Hello, I give you a friendly advice, put the new RAM truck in the garage If another hail storm comes and you keep it out, you will be crying for the 63,000 dollars. It is a new car and it must be kept in the garage. The other cars that were damaged by the hail Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Impala you cried after them and they were not new cars, but RAM is a new car, I don't think you would like Randy to damage that new car. For the rest, what can I say to master it healthy and without events. I wish you a good day.

Great truck Randy I have a 2021 non etorque and I love it I only get bout 17 mpg but the smiles per gallon make it all worth it

e-Torques is a mild hybrid system offered on the 5.7L hemi, has a 40 volt battery mounted to the cab wall behind the left rear seat

Love to watch your channel, keep up the good work but must say that you're buying that new truck because all the reason you mentioned but primarily because you're financially able to do so. Don't get me wrong, not a bit jealous, I'm glad to see when people are doing good and I'm glad that you're happy with the truck, just wanted to point out that difference between being able or solvent and to be in struggle with the money.

My mom's boyfriend works at a Stellantis dealer and they throw dead eTorque motor modules in the trash a couple times a year. I've considered asking him to bring one home so I could potentially figure out how to power one with a standalone R/C speed controller. I found a 2002 Buick LeSabre when I was scrolling around on FB Marketplace one day and the alternator is right on top of the engine. Theoretically, if I could fit the eTorque MGU in the place of the original alternator, I could design a whole custom start/stop and hybrid system around an old grandpa car that no one would expect to be this technologically advanced. A sleeper in a way.

Modern trucks cerainly have their pros and cons. Your new ram seems like a good fit for your needs. I just hate how expensive pretty much all vehicles have gotten, especially used trucks as a result of new truck prices going through the roof. Hope you can get some good use and enjoyment out of this one! For me personally, im going to keep looking for an old chevy or ford from the days of low horspower, vent windows, and classic body lines. Im glad that trucks come in so many configurations to suit different needs. I move furniture and trash, so i dont need to think about hauling a trailer. I also don't drive thousands of miles every month! You put your fleet to work! Good video, randy!

Randy I bought a new 2022 ram lLaramie sport 4 wheel drive sport in January and the window sticker was 69000 and I bought it for 55000 they had one hell of a deal on it . I love it and it is white with the many options that you have except for e torque . It gets 21 miles peer gallon at its best and I love it. EXCEPT there are a couple of things that they did not tell me that I had to find out on my own. You can not drive it with the tail gate down, it will throw on the emergency brake and put it in park. I put a new bed mat in it in my shop and left the tail gate down and tried to back it out in the sun to take the wrinkles out of it. To my astonishment it slammed on the emergency brake and throwed it in park and scared me to death. I first thought there was something behind me, but no, so I tried it again and it did the same thing, so I put the tail gate up and wala it backed up. You can not haul any thing with the tail gate down because the camera is in the tailgate and it will not let you move with it down. You also can not open the drivers door and look back to back up it will do it then too. I do not mind now that I know about it but I wish there is a way to by pass the safety concerns they did with out telling me. I wonder what else I will run in to that will scare the hell out of me. I like the truck a lot but you may have had this shit happen to you on your other trucks, but this was my first inclination of it. You probably will like the truck a lot I sure like mine.

If you want the exhaust to to be slightly louder but not obnoxious, remove the mid muffler. It’s been a very common mod for rams for years now.

You got a really nice truck there! The Pearl metallic white is very good elegant for a truck and I like how the tastefully trimmed wheels and tires look. They made this a sleek looking low rider. And you still have that V8 sound. But it’s a quiet subdued grown up sound. A nice change from all the tall boy he man trucks. I like it.

Randy! Next year for tax purposes give the 2024/25 F-150 Limited a try, trust me, as a salesman at a Ford dealer, these Rams are really nice, but that new Limited is next level.

That thing looks amazing! Like a pristine white crystal on wheels or something. Super slick! Also, you really need to appreciate the prices you have over in the states. Over here in Sweden, you'd be lucky to get one of those for at least about $90k (10.9 SEK per USD) WITH a BIG discount, which I don't think will even happen over here. The prices right now for a 2023 RAM 1500 Limited RED (only 2023 Limited with eTorque) are at $115k. Couple that with fuel prices that are close to double of what you have over there and these trucks start to get REALLY expensive...😅I can find ONE listing for a 2019 Limited w eTorque for just over $90k over here. So... REJOICE!!! 😄
