Congrats on joining the Lexus fam. I picked up my 07 is350 rwd about a month ago and I have zero regrets. I've owned a couple ls400s and a gs350 awd which I really regretted selling. I had the same thought process with the 250 and I 100% think its worth it to wait or spend a little extra to get the 2gr
also, rear cooled or heated seats weren't an option with this gen IS, but a little fun fact euro an Asian markets of this car could have fully cloth or suede interiors instead of leather
I bought my 2012 IS 350 with 114k miles on it 3 years ago. 120k on that Toyota 3.5 liter V6 isn’t high mileage at all. It’s just starting to break that engine in. Mine has 176k on it now, and it’s still running like a Swiss watch. The AWD system is solid. Mine is a RWD, but you can’t go wrong with either trim. It looks like you’ve made a great buy man. Keep up on the routine maintenance, and the car won’t let you down. Can wait to see you mod it!👍🏽

Whats upp, congrats on your car, great choice, I have the same 2nd gen IS350, I recommend you a few stet GReddy Exhaust, Carbon bumpers and side skirts, change the radio with an android touch screen, and change the speakers and bass, I see you already have the smoked tail lights, I suggest you change the front light with the Vlan,
I have an 08 350 with 259,000 mi ..i didnt take care of it at all the way I should've I had to make the decison to fix it this yr (transmission rebuild) I did that and i am so happy with my decision. Its driving beautifully. Because i made that decisioon, i decided to go all in and have fun with it, it looks like a brand new car with the cosmetic mods already...i've upgraded the vland headlights, grill, vland tail lights, led reflectors... fog lights, interior wrap, xpel pr 5% tint 15% rear 35% windshield xpel pr pro. I did chrome delete the window outline I added rain visors (idk if i will keep it but ilike them) Next for me is suspension, my suspension is worn do to age I would like to lower it an inch when i replace the parts( idk much about cars either) and get an exhaust... rims and be done there. I also have the same color as you. Im enjoying this tbh i have never worked on my car until i gathered the courage to do the headlights and I enjoyed it a lot. Getting info on the suspension that will be good is intimidating though because i Want to lower it but dont want to sacrifice something else by doing it. I will keep an eye on your chanel. If you get any info on updating the infotainment sys pls post. I tried to upgrade but was told they dont make them for 2nd gen 350 with navi & I was pretty bummed about it. Anyways congrats this car is truely timeless ! Great looking car
Just bought mine too, 2006 right hand drive IS350 RWD from Japan. Absolute mint car. These don't make 306 to the crank; dyno'd mine at 243 to the wheel so roughly ~280 to the crank. Yours loses even more as its AWD so maybe 20-25% powertain loss. Back seats are NOT vented btw
Great car congrats !just hit 217k miles on mine fully tuned dosnt skip a beat,Back seats are not vented sadly ,exhaust is definitely a DIY dosnt look the best
if you want to upgrade the infotainment system for hands free apple carplay/android auto but keep the stock head unit and all functionality get a Grom VLine VL2 they are expensive but they are well worth the money.
UPDATE (VIDEO COMING SOON) 07/30/23 *I got into an accident (my back bumper was ripped off and my side panel scratched and dented) because an ambulance (no lights on) was being driven by a young EMT who didn't measure how close he was to my IS350 and floored the gas pedal.
I bought a 2is in 2020 and my only regret? It’s an atrocious IS250! Well, I can’t really complain since it was practically given to me after my 2004 Corolla was totaled by a drunk driver. My aunt sold it to me for a very good price. To get a 2is 350 now? I don’t want to shelve out the money for a car that looks very similar to what I have now. So far the IS250 doesn’t give me issues and is reliable. I will keep my slow IS250 then.
I got 2007 Lexus is 350 and i also did drive corolla but the power on the is350 is amazing but your is350 is way better then mine. It has back shade and headlight washer and my did not come with that. Which really sucks and I was hopping to get one but it didn't. You lets us hear the cold air intake I wanna hear it !
I wish Lexus had brought the 2IS 350 to Europe....we have the 250 which is decent but the 350 is a considerably stronger engine. Congrats, looks great but the previous owner had really shitty taste lol... That "carbon fiber" wrap inside is top level cringe
