best motor toyota ever put in a ute just a shame they weren't around for long before they shoehorned that boat anchor v8 into the new ones. Good to see your not putting a bunch of townie 4wd bs on it and not jacking it to the sky.
Great 4wd mate , I have the 2003 factory turbo rv model . Only thing I did was install industrial 2micron fuel and oil bypass filters from filter Technology Newcastle. Super clean fuel and oil .
it’s a X9 super winch. It’s a genuine Toyota part I have had one for year great winch. And worth a few $$$$ to buy new. Nice rig look forward to seeing it completed 👌👍
Throw a pair of diff locks in and it will go anywhere that the 5inch 37 pensies go, and thank you for not putting a stainless snorkel on. Good stuff mate keep it up
Laurence she won’t be able to go half the places 4bys with big lift and big tires go mate, them leafs hang lower then ya nans knockers got all the power she needs but that won’t do anything
How tall are you? I'm considering a 75 pickup project (with maybe an option to swap to a 79 cab and bed), but at 6'9" (206cm), I'm not sure I'd even be able to drive the 79, let alone the 75 during the restoration process.
Don't..its a great engine as it is. Youll regret it. Put a chip maybe, and a 3" exhaust with a decent snorkel and blanking plate and oils etcand its last 900000 ks
Alexander Supertramp and Paul Byrne, not sure if I'm being trolled or not but will state the case for the Intercooler. Yes it will give more boost but at lower revs. It reduces EGTs by providing cooler air to the engine. This gives more power and better fuel economy, whilst allowing the engine to run cooler. I agree the 3" exhaust and a good snorkel are also recommended. Hope this helps.
@@paulbyrne4214 hmmm I find that very hard to believe and it can only be out of ignorance. My F250 has 130,000 trouble free miles on the odometer and will go damn near anywhere. Shut your pie hole
@@tosgem American pickups are great in their own environment, in the much tougher Australian conditions they dont hold up so well, drive them for long enough on corrugated roads and they start falling apart, engines might be bullet proof but things like interior trims, doors, tailgates and even bumpers start to give in much earlier than a well built japanese truck.
American trucks are junk. Only good for entusiast that has the patience to keep them together as they fall apart with just everyday use of getting grocerys.
