I have been a fabricator for over 30 years and yes I hurt my back and had a hernia from handling 5/8 by 6 flat bar steel while walking.. deadlifting weight versus walking with weight is a big difference. Some people it goes right into their jewels I was lucky and it was off on the side

These days I have limited hours due to popped wrist and finger tendons and carpal tunnel, all work-related.. I ignore it the best I can and keep on going...

When you find one of those in my state, it's worthless, absolutely worthless. Most go straight to the crusher. I'm with you Sarah, love the (roll up) windows. Saves a lot of weight & next to nothing ($) to fix if it goes bad. Prayers for Charley & you too for great health & healing. Hope he's wearing a back brace when working.

Honestly hope Charlie is doing well and getting better. Hopefully the hernia will leave only a pinpoint scar and be an outpatient procedure. As for the back, has he tried a tens device. I find some relief from that.

A lot of the interior parts are still available new from Ford, and they are relatively cheap. For example, the whole door card is only about $170, arm rest $30

I've been driving an 06-6.0L fleet truck that has been extremely reliable, with none of the dreaded 6.0 issues. My only advice is that the oil must be changed more frequently than the intervals stated in the original manual.

Also the turbos are known to sieze the variable geometry ring and cause massive overboost blowing the headgaskets and intercooler hoses.

Sarah, if you want to try a Hail Mary on the seat cover for Charlie's truck. Try dyeing the seat cover a color close to what you want. You would have to do both seats, but it's cheaper than seat covers, and if it doesn't work, then you can get seat covers. I would try it, good luck.

My prayers are with Charlie. I was a mechanic for 50 plus years, 5 back surgeries, 8 shoulder surgeries(need shoulder replacements now) and 2 hernias not to mention all the cuts and smashed body parts. Please appreciate you mechanic. H.D technicians really abuse there bodies. I am sure that his truck will be awesome. I really enjoy your channel. 🙏✝️

i would incorporate a downrigger on the rear corner of the truck where the crane is mounted. i worked out of a virtually identical truck in the oilfield and with the weight of the crane added if you try to pick anything heavy or if you have the boom extended it'll really pull in a rather unnatural manner on that corner of the frame. just a simple trailer jack will make a big difference.

You’re amazing‼️worthwhile truck and he seems to understand it. Good upgrades and inspirational body work on the tool box bed. Seems like injuries always come in sets of three…I hope the hernia heals quickly and doesn’t exacerbate the back problem. Looks like it’ll be a typical Sarah quality truck when finished.👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

Sending healing thoughts to Charlie. So glad you bought him a truck. FYI. Bugs have their batteries in a totally stupid place. You must ensure you use a robust battery cover. As a kid my family had a bug. After a long drive, our bug caught fire from the battery sparking on the underside of the rear seat. Guess who was sitting above the battery.

Ya, I'm 42 and started working on bikes+cars about 1992. Built bikes, rebuilt engines, trans swaps, etc. and I have arthritis of knees, wrists, elbows, feet, ankles, back. Pain is daily, but still doesn't stop me from doing what I enjoy.
