My rust is because it's a northern Ohio truck since new,, and it is the front fenders i need to replace, the rockers and the bottom of the passenger side front door in the middle and the bubbling over the wheels on the bed like your truck does and the three small spots in the bed floor both sides and the center in front of the tailgate starting to rust through no bed liner, plastic or coated,no bed mat or camper shell
My 2000 dodge ram Laramie slt longbed quad cab 1500 4x4 has rust around the lower edges of the truck but has completely rebuilt front suspension new torque converter and front input shaft seal and front pump in the transmission and when you shift it in reverse it will start backing up with pushing the gas pedal so the transmission works great 318 magnum V8 runs strong starts right up in 24 degree weather and carries a consistent 60psi oil pressure at engine operating temperature truck has 176k miles i gave $1,500 because of the rusty brake lines and the having to jump start the truck supposed to have been a bad alternator and battery i bought a new stainless steel brake line kit from classic tube out of Ohio and replaced most of the front lines and the power distribution center battery cable to the engine block and the battery and starts right up and the ac works
