I don’t think you were being picky you paid for these items! Sellers make all these cute post for bundles to get people to purchase them but when you buy them it’s nothing like what’s pictured. 😭
The navy dress could have looked a little bit cuter without those terrible sleeves and if it was fitted at the waist with like a ribbon or a belt but god what a terrible disappointment. The light blue dress is cute, but not really that cottagecore.
Ok tbh I like the navy dress and think it can work for cottage core but like, you clearly asked for no dark colours and that is so clearly a dark colour? Just no care whatsoever.

I think the only unfair criticism was you saying no neutrals (tan, white, gray) because that's such a central color scheme to cottage core. Other than that, I don't think she really tried and I feel bad you got ripped off! Thanks for sharing :)
i'm 3 months late to the punch but i feel like that navy blue dress could be cottage core, but you'll need to pair it with neutrals which I feel you were avoiding! However, if you had a long medium-tan chunky knit cardigan (one as long or longer than the dress), a narrow brown leather belt to cinch the dress, brown ankle-style boots with cream slouchy socks, a cream hat, and maybe a crochet bag or a bag that had some sort of sunflower motif-- i think it could 100% be cottagey
To me cottagecore is boho bye a new name and a bit more colorful but I feel like it’s sucks that she did not meet you needs and it took so long. Also the missing item!

You’re not being negative. I sell vintage and have for 20 years. I have also been a clothing seller on first eBay and then Poshmark and this was a terrible bundle. Each item should have been wrapped to keep them clean and tidy and so that they LOOK pretty. The box should fit the amount of items as well for secure packing. She didn’t actually send you much that was Cottagecore and didn’t take your preferences into consideration.
It's just a ripped off kind of bundle and the seller probably doesn't have any idea what a cottage core items are...you're better off going straight to a thrift shop and get more stuff for the money you spent on these crap...
i think the seller didn’t really put any effort into your bundle. the missing items and the way the theme wasn’t even close to cottage core is a waste of money. if they didn’t know what cottage core was they could’ve looked it up. i also think maybe the seller just pulled stuff from their personal closet but they should’ve found more cottage core looking items.
