DH GATE seller is “Maomaojin” for those wondering 🤓👍🏾 … don’t forget to SUBSCRIBE for more videos like this on DH Gate replica shirts - I’ve put in a BIG order 😉 I’ll also be comparing those to genuine shirts from ClassicFootballShirts… I’ll be opening up lots of 90s Football Throwbacks too, as well as other United content so KEEP AN EYE OUT 👀
Funny you mention this cos I chose a player version of the white shirt then gave it away so I could get the fan version.... Usually people cope over cheaper option but I legit prefer the fan shirt. Just look at them. The white player one is very templatey, Should have maybe asked for red letters cos that looks good. The white one in fan shirt comes with a soft unique texture that was made for that design A player shirt should be a unique material for every club/shirt... kinda like they used to. Now most fan shirts are all the same and player ones too. Is just cos this shirt is white, it looks good when plain and soft imo
The problem with buying 'real' football shirts for me is that the price has become totally fetishised. If you go into a department store and spend £110-£120 on one item of clothing, generally you're buying a product of extremely high quality, that will last you years. Football shirts are not like that. They are made from cheap material that doesn't age well and the only way to make your football shirts last for years is to keep them in a drawer and not wear them. I bought an Arsenal shirt a couple of years ago for 90 quid with a £10 off voucher. Within a couple of washes the Adidas stripes started peeling off. This is after following the care instructions religiously. I buy all my shirts from DHGate now. The price of football shirts today is an absolute disgrace and just further highlights how the game is increasingly losing touch with ordinary football fans.
Well put mate, I casually wear mine for the odd game, mostly now to display. I get why people invest in “retro” - although my 92-94 United shirt cost like £200 from classic football shirts, the quality is decent, it’s timeless & so on
Not interested in wearing the latest shirt anymore, think the last one I bought was 12 years ago now. I’ve got a score draw retro shirt that I love as it’s plain with a collar and the club’s badge and that’s it. I have however bought a few snides from DH Gate for the kids and they’re amazing! £13 for a child’s kit is unbelievable. Just ordered myself a 90s replica shirt, looking forward to it coming as it’ll be the first DH Gate shirt that I’ve bought for myself.
When I was growing up my ma used to treat me to a jersey season for like 50 quid? Seeing the jersey for 90+ these days honestly cant be bothered spending that much on a shirt
I buy all my daughters kits from DH Gate. She’s 10 and also a Man Utd (womens) fan. You hit the nail on the head. Not giving the Glazers any more money than necessary and being able to get a couple of kits a year from her is ideal. Great vid 👍
It’s important to turn the kit inside out before putting these in the wash. This will protect the prints, colour, stitching and other features, particularly on the jersey, from becoming damaged or faded. Just thought I’d give you that info as I saw your shirt being washed without turning it inside out this is probably the reason why your lettering on your sponsors & name sets are falling apart or missing
well, no wonder. The "real" kit and the "fake" one are made in the same factory in SEA. Adidas and Nike outsourced their manufacturing to several company in here
For the cost of £11 they're so cheap you could buy a few of the them.Have one for wearing and have one for your collection.DH Gate do some wonderful 80s replicas as well.I love retro!
I've collected every single one of the original home replica MU jerseys since 2011. What I do is to typically buy them the following year when they're discounted 😂. I don't wear these jerseys. But I'll get the fake ones and wear those instead. The quality of the fakes are getting better and better. There are different versions of the fakes. The highest quality ones can be hard to discern even when you place them next to the original ones. The seller I buy my fakes from recommend turning the jerseys inside and out and placing it in a laundry bag if machine-washed. Cheers.
Great advice that mate. Also good shout on collecting them discounted, save a bomb 👍🏾 I bought some from classic football shirts and they were over £200 - unless you’re a big shirt collector/enthusiast- the fakes are the way to go for just throwing on without the worries of damage
Having 3 kids all interested in football I was shocked how much I was spending. I went to DHGate and that’s how my RU-vid channel started. Parents and kids shouldn’t have to miss out because of greed. High five to you for being so honest.
Lad buys his shirts from DH Gate player spec very good quality , as for printing coming off it happens ask my wife who washed my matchworn england shirt of Danny Rose and rear number plastic coating came off leaving the lighter ghost image behind. Still in collection but no longer displayed still married of course lol. Glad to see a review that is not just about putting the product down but being truthful and would buy again.
Really appreciate the fit summary. I'm a similar average to chubby build and these shirts ain't the most flattering unless you go bigger, so thanks for the great advice on that.
As someone who often tries to get authentic player versions - even o the site it states the fit is far far more tight due to it being a ‘performance garment’ and not ‘lifestyle’ lime fan/replica versions. In case nobody gas answered this yet
Good video and advice. Football clubs are getting away from reality with prices for match day tickets and football kits. I paid £125 for a kids full kit for his birthday. As u say for 1 season
Scandalous price mate isn’t it. There’s no excuse as the same kit manufacturer will charge more for teams higher in the football league than in say league 1. They’ll argue it’s because those teams use a generic template etc but with the sheer quantity of shirts the big clubs sell - surely it’ll mean they can shorten the margins, like Tesco V a corner shop init
Thank you for this video. I was unaware of DH Gate. To be fair, considering the price I think it's a good quality shirt with attention to detail. In my experience, the authentic player shirts are suppose to be more snug fitting. At least that's what I hear from footie shops. I wash all my footie tops by hand in cool water and air dry. I spend to much money for them to get damaged in the machine.
Thanks for posting this Ry, there are some shirts I previously had in The 80s/90s I simply couldn’t find to buy. However your suggestion has left me like a kid in sweet shop! I have a feeling The big Multi nationals have outsourced everything and you’re actually getting the same thing anyway.
DHgate is the best. 100% size up though. I normally buy an XL and received a pretty tight kit but I wasn't too upset, the price was $18, so i just ordered another at XXL.
Love that classic HUFC top with the yellow bull 😍 I’ve got a 2003 M and M Sports one hung up in my office ready to be framed after I got Guinan to sign it at his charity match 👌
I’ve used DHgate for about 7 years now, only shirts I buy that are genuine are my Millwall but I’m even getting them from DHgate this season, for £15 delivered you can’t go wrong,if they get a stain or a hole in,especially if you’ve got kids and animals then that are easy to replace
Love Dhgate ,I shop with them often for all my 90s Utd jerseys, most are great quality, would love if any of their sellers would make the away Utd shirt 96/97 long sleeve 😀
Awesome video man. I've only bought fake shirts in recent years., Well especially for the last 5/6 years. Never used dhgate before but after watching your video I took the plunge lol 😂 Just bought the XXL Home Shirt with B.Fernandes 8. XXL Away Shirt with Rashford 10 and XXL 3rd Shirt with Antony 21 for a mind blowing £40.81 haha 😄 Great video mate 👍🏻 #Glazersout 🫡 #GGMU ❤
Hey mate sorry for the late reply (went into the review comment folder) glad to see you made the plunge with that whopping £40 odd 😅 let us know what they’re like when they arrive 👍🏾
I’m a palace fan, always have my own name & favourite players number, always wash printed shirts inside out, they always tell you so at the club shop too
Great review. The shirts that seem to be on the website don’t have the club badge or sponsor - is that for copyright purposes only? Does it come with the badge and sponsor?
Your video make me realize when I was young, I don’t have a money to buy a real jersey, but now I already have a job, so I buy a real jersey every month. I spend a lot of money😂😂😂😂😂
Hey mate!!! Gr8 vids keep it up!!!! Just wanted to know what link you use on dh gate for all your tops? Im a united fan and wanted the tops you have... thanks
I just use the DH GATE app mate & search whatever I need like “Manchester United football shirt” - the seller I tend to use is “MaoMaoJin” 👉🏾 check out my latest video on a few other shirts I bought off 😊👍🏾
I've had a couple duds from around 15-20 shirts I've bought off there (and both times getting a refund/replacement was near impossible) but for the price they're close enough to the real thing and worth taking the 95% chance in my view 👍
Great video, I’m not gonna lie but getting a dh gate retro kit doesn’t bother me because 99% of ppl won’t be able to tell the difference because it’s from the 80/90s especially considering they’re priced at crazy prices
Great video mate! Loved it. I know full well why people buy fakes. The DHGate ones are superior made. All made on the very BEST equipment available. Just remember, anyone reading this, they are worthless 😜
Thanks mate 😁 & well said yeah I’d rather ruin an £11 shirt than a £100+ one… had my £200 Classic Football Shirts United 92-94 Home on today… that was worth it 🙈
@@RysFootyParadise hahaha you jinxed us mate 🤣 honestly though that was a bright first 10-15 mins and I just don’t k ow what happened after that. Shocking 😩
The fan issue shirt is regular fit whereas the player issue one is tight fit. I quite like soccer 03. Similar sort of site but like you said for the price you cannot go wrong. Football clubs have got so greedy with their shirts in the past 10 years or so. It's no wonder sites like these exsist.
@@RysFootyParadise so I ordered 5 shirts including the United home and away player kits, an England shirt, an Inter Miami shirt and a Ajax away kit at the beginning of the season with the cost being £67.32 and shipping was £11.62. I've worn the shirts multiple times and no issues. Took about a month to come but worth the wait. I'd certainly recommend giving it a bash.
@@samjames5552 thanks for that mate, I’m on there now… thinking of giving the mystery shirts a go for a video… is this sizing same as DH gate? Size up for fan, 2 sizes up for player version?
Update on this site, I have brought about 5 shirts and brought them about 4 months ago and they are all still in good nick. When I brought a couple from DHgate, It fell apart after a few months of wearing.
Got the CF Nacional de Montevideo shirt on DH gate. Like a second skin. I had to breathe in. Then I realised that there is a fan version (loose fit) and a player version (tight fit). So I’ve got Flamengo, Jubilo Iwata and Yokohama F Marinos shirts coming. Hopefully they fit.
@@RysFootyParadise that’s why I order mini sumo (4xl or 5xl if they have it). DH hate is a wonderland of “suss” kits. You can get anything if you are into your J-League or South American teams
Great Video I Brought My Home One Of DH Gate Great Condition But The Only Thing I Did Wrong Was I Brought XXL Thats All They Have In Highest Size They Have And Its A Bit Tight The Players Version When I Get The Away & Third Ill Get It In Fans Version
Wash them inside out on the hand wash setting. It says that on the sites you buy them from. I have loads and wash them like that and never have a problem.
Ive brought two kits from dhgate. An ireland 94 world cup home jersey. It looks legit. I brought a leeds United away top from 96/97 its pretty terrible but i put it down to the fact that the material for the half yellow half blue kit is not like a normal football shirt. But oh well it cost a tenner. Either way i wouldn't get names on the back
Yeah it’s the printing that’s the downfall but that said I’m always worried about legit printing too 😅 just gotta wash inside out and go steady… but like you said off DH gate you’re only losing £10-15 so all good 👍🏾
@@RysFootyParadise exactly I'm gonna get this years Leeds away kit. Also most of these mystery kit boxes and sites that sell incredibly cheap new kits are all fakes anyway
they say fan version doesn't have that tight fit as the player version. I'm currently at XS do you think that a fan version in S would be good for me? Don't want that tight fit. Thanks in advance!!😊
I have purchased four shirts from, supposedly, different sellers through the DHGate market place recently. The sizes on order have gone from XL to 4XL. All the shirts are the same chest size (48”) and the same length from neck to hem. All have been better than I had expected otherwise. Now where did I put that diet sheet? COYS!
It drives me mad they release an authentic version, and purposefully make the fan version inferior with less detail etc that they could easily have included. The away green shirt for example, I think the fan version looks terrible in comparison. No shirt pattern, sponsor logo "panel" which is totally unnecessary. If people want the top technical material, fine, but have you noticed that they have even change the position of the badge and adidas logo on the fan version. You cannot tell me that they couldn't have put them in the same position.
well said mate I noticed the sponsor position difference too - the authentic player ones have the sponsor higher up and closer to the badge & kit manufacturer... lazy fan versions too... no wonder we're all heading off to places like DH Gate!
@@RysFootyParadise I got the three along with a suitcase of other things stone island Fred Perry the lot I bring a empty suitcase every year can't beat it for value 😎👍
Not sure if I missed it but to my eye the TeamViewer and DXC logos are too bright of a shade of red. On the real jerseys they’re both the darker shade of red that the adidas logo is. The real one also seems to be more of a creamy color than this. Also, could totally be my TV.
What size are you normally in t shirts, going off your stats and build id have guessed UK medium but a lot of your legit ones are Large. Bought loads for my friend off Dhgate and always gone a size up for fan versions, debating whether to go 2 up for player versions
I had a question I noticed that when choosing which version you want it has two player versions to choose from one has the EPL logo and the other has a silhouette of a circle patch and rectangular patch pointing to the sleeve. Does it matter which one you choose or not? Please help.
Bought from DH Gate for a few years now, partly because of cost, partly thanks to our previous Owner, a certain Mr Ashley 😡. Never been disappointed once, advice would be go at least a size up, wash inside out, no softener on a cool. Never put it in a dryer, let it dry on a hanger.
well said mate! I know how you feel on that shite owner situation... :D Look forward to playing against you guys in the next round of the Carabao Cup at OT!
@@RysFootyParadise another tip I'd pass on, always look for sellers with the most orders as well. I'd rather buy from someone with a few thousand sales than someone with just a few hundred 👍👍😉
@@ItsSoMuchToast I tend to wear a few tops then wash them all together, otherwise whatever you wash with them will be done possibly too cool, & with no softener (I know, 1st world problems 🤣) hope this helps 👍
My kids Forest kits are all DH Gate. Decent enough quality and will last the one year they'll be in them. I try and support the club as much as possible but there is a tipping point with the price against value that we are well past. I just wear a club polo that is cheaper, more stylish and doesn't necessarily need replacing every year. Everybody's happy.
Good shout mate yeah I think the way to go for kids and to wear without the worry of ruining an expensive shirt - collectors can always grab the official one at the end of the season when they’re discounted
Went one size up on my Leeds United shirt off Dhgate. Fits fine. Really good quality. 50p for a scum shirt is overpriced . A Man U fan from Bristol. About right 😂
I now only buy fake ones since realising they look and feel almost the same as the real ones. Not going to get ripped off so that footballers can spend my money on their luxury lifestyle.
it does actually say on the selling site to hand wash I've always bought from dhgate cant beat them just got to be carful with the back print and always 2 sizes up
@@RysFootyParadise The yellow one with red letters just perfect. Good to do vids on more keeper shirts cos even the big channels not done that yet Legend names can go on any shirt, any time, for me. Js anyway. Keep up the good work. We need the shirtverse to keep growing 👍
I did buy real but how much they are don't make sense. They stand up to getting wash to and my real tops don't always stay good either. Until they bring the price down then ppl will always buy fake. Plus no one ever said that's fake, they want to know we're they can get the same as they look so real.
Hey, check out my most recent video on “Spot the fake shirts” where there’s some badge action on the go in that video 😊👍🏾 (further DH GATE reviews to come this week too)
@@toph8298glad you answered that. I bought my first one a few weeks back (hasn’t arrived yet) and bought my usual size, beginning to panic! 😂 The kids shirts are true to size.
@@toph8298what if you are say a LARGE in the authentic player version genuine ones. would it be the same for the player version DHGate ones or do you still size up? cant find any videos of anyone comparing a REAL player version size comparison compare the the DHGate player version. most seem to compare fan versions to the player versions and those sizes are way different even on the genuine versions
@@RysFootyParadise Indeed. I was looking at the white kit but it was too small for me .. here in Laos.. I'm also looking at getting the training kits too ..
I buy the the shirt they are with like Adidas or another make then put the rest on by going to a place where they print things onto shirts 👕 cheap as chips
@@RysFootyParadise best bet. Just don't expect any "favours" on a nighttime for a while. Seeing as it's been a fair while since you bought the shirt how is it holding out? I've bought England Scotland and Ireland shirts along with a tonne of Newcastle and Celtic shirts of all vintages all with a varying degree of quality ranging from meh to that's gotta be real? Also quick note if you don't know this but player version shirts aren't for us pot bellied auld sods. I got this year's Newcastle shirt and it clings to my curves.
