Don't get me wrong, but here in the UK it seems to me that people don't really know what a high spec BMW is. This is just a regular BMW 650i spec wise. The real "specs" or extras are the ones below the headlight knob. This one only had the HeadUp Display. I used to own a 640d which had the HeadUp Display,Lane Keeping Assistant, Lane Departure Warning. It was lacking the Adaptive Cruise Control and the Night Vision Camera in terms of the real specs. These are just my 2cents. Peace.
Beautiful car but yes, it's not a high spec one. We looked for many many months over most of the U.S. and eventually found and bought a truly high spec one with some of the following packages M-Sport, Executive, Driving Assist, Cold Weather, Park Assist, Night Vision, Sun Shades, B/O stereo (etc). It wouldn't have mattered though because these are beautiful cars irrespective of whether it has all the bells and whistles.

That's awesome dude! I just picked up a 2016 550i M Performance with 48k miles... It's spec'd to the max, and I just put those same 20" 373s on it! Extended leather package, top HK audio, soft close, everything! Paid a good bit more than $20kUSD for it, but it's nice as hell bro. Just installed Bimmertech wireless CarPlay, new plugs and coils, new OE rotors and pads, and a JB4... Shit is a dream dude!
I have one in xdrive, and with the upgraded sound system with every single available option and love it. Those grill inserts are terrible, get them out of there asap.
This is the type of car I could see my myself in, as i don't drive cars for the daily commute only for pleasure and the occasional shopping trip the idea of a big v8 luxury car is now a viable option. 20k yes nice 👌

Not bad at all. That big old barge beat the 997 carrera 4 you had on the channel on Sunday which must be getting on for 400 kg lighter. Didn't expect that.

It's actually crazy how much more the M6 have depreciated compared to this! Similar year M6 with a 30k higher MSRP are actually almost on par with the 650i X-Drivers. I think many people have started to prefer the instant acceleration that the X-drive brings as opposed to the advantage at 100mph+ speeds where the M6 would be faster. Since these are not really "track cars", it takes the M novelty out of the equation. People are picking the X-Drives and Alpinas rightuflly over the M6. Also, this pre-LCI model with those old headlights looks HIDEOUS!
Having owned a few BMW’s I’m just not into them at all, but I really like the 6 series and that one looks lovely. I have zero interest in M cars. That 650i is much more like it. As for garlic and chilli’s with chicken and chips I can’t offer any insight as I’ve never ordered that kind of thing, BUT if I ever do I will check that it comes with it thanks to Calv!
I'm working in the carribean at the minute, and theres one of these on the island, but like you say, you NEVER see a 650i, its mad! Sound amazing though

I stand corrected (said the man in orthopaedic shoes) from 2012 for all brand new models TPMS had to be designed in. From November 2014, all new cars sold, had to have it fitted as standard….
I have a 640d GC now tuned to 400bhp 800nm and I’m finding it hard to find a replacement, it’s a weapon…it has everything you need, performance, looks and build quality…for anyone that owns one keep an eye out for the recent recall and get it booked it, I’ve heard some horror stories!
Calvin, When you're turning into the bumpy road...Who is recording you getting the outside shot? Edit: JustEat...Mate lately every order I make has items missing. Its getting to the point where its pointless for me to make an order, I feel like there should just be a button to place an order and you get whatever you get. AND...they now only refund as "Account credit" which does NOT go back to your card. So its not actually a refund! That shouldn't be legal.
These 6 Series' are the best bang for buck on the road a the moment. Under £20 is that for real. A 320d with same age and millage isn't far off that price.
i was looking at a 550i almost got 1 untill i drove a m5 and just ad to spent the extra cash if u do buy 1 you always gona ask your self that u wish it was a M car dont get me wrong 550 650 are cracking cars its just why stop at the 2nd just go for the best 1. av to agree the zf gearbox is so much better for a day to day
I'm pretty sure TwinPower Turbo is a single turbocharger with two scrolls whereas TwinTurbo Power is two turbochargers next to each other. Biturbo is obviously two turbochargers but either side of the cylinder bank. *edit* googling this car it says it is twin turbo so I really it should be TwinTurbo Power... Not sure whats going on with this one lol
Reference your question something which offers the same or more for the money, I currently have a jaguar xfr 5l supercharged and actually think it ticks more boxes for less/similar money. More seats, as much comfort, more power, comes with an e-diff and sounds amazing! P.s - mine has smaller top supercharger pulley and remap which is 550+ hp!
Yes I would agree the BMW'S looks are superior and I am a big bmw fan have had several over the years... However I stand by I would have a the xfr over the 6 series for the reasons mentioned
I had a 14 plate sapphire black 640D GC. Brilliant car, but due to diesel gate, the value tanked at the 2 year point and I handed it back. Back then if you went to a BMW dealer and said "I want a 6 series" a few of them would say "name your price!" Got a great deal on it, although should have pushed a tad harder.
Tbh not the tu1 with 449hp as in this vid. It got many Upgrades to solve the sickness of the 409hp engine! Having my 449hp on 70k km without any issues (but still feeling the bad mood vibes also and hope the best 😅)
Please keep it and take it somewhere like Birds for a suspension and LSD upgrade. Couple that with a stage 1 map and it would be fascinating to see the difference 👍
Currently running a 640D that I picked up for under £14k in similar spec. Interested to see how a mapped 640D would perform in comparison to the V8 (apart from the noise of course). Unbelievably comfortable and still a great looking car.
@@gwilko6452 pretty huge really, not sure if it’s bigger on the Gran Coupe. Biggest downside compared to my old 335 is that the rear seats don’t fold down!
I have a 2015 640d mapped to 400bhp and 720nm, its an absolute beast, i got the gearbox tuned also to be able to handle the torque. Definitely would recommend, it takes it to another level!! 0 - 60.....3.5 sec
It’s a lovely car, but fuel would be insanely killing us in the UK with current prices. What could you get which would be equally good for 20k? I would buy an Audi RS4 B7 Avant or a Merc E55 AMG :)
Why say fuel would be too bad then suggest 2 other cars which are going to be just as bad. I've just got a 16 plate 330d xdrive, stage 1, 320bhp and 650nm, more power than you'd ever need and does 35 odd MPG
@@james2614mc because, if you listen to what Calvin said, he was saying what other car would you buy that gives the same or better for 20k, and although i already own 4 cars, 2 are V8's i would say and RS4 / RS6 and E55 AMG.
@@james2614mc yeah but it's a 330d, not worth buying sny diesel's anymore, i buy cars, not lease or HPI, straight out cash. If i was leasing etc i wouldn't care.
