Congrats on the new car. I passed on a mate's 944 turbo race car when he hit financial difficulties 20 years ago for 25k and twenty it ever since. I'd nearly forgotten about it till now. Back to therapy. THANKS!!!!! 😊

K24 swap the Porsche, drop a rebuilt engine with a turbo that way it will be reliable.

@@zerodrift1 As a kid in the 90's I never was lucky enough to own a SNES, but loved playing Mega Man at my mates. I wish I could say yes but it's just a coincidence really - wanted to build a retro pixel / 80-90's outro and after hours of tinkering landed on what you see here. Hope you like it tho!

@Bbeavis It's already very close to the MMX outro. I would suggest watching a video on that outro and see how close you inadvertently came to that style. What you have made is really good, and I really like how close that connection turned out!

Does youtube take more of a cut than patreon? Which is the best to support with?

From what I can find (why do they make it hard to work out how much they take)... RU-vid takes a 30% cut from channel memberships. While Patreon is no more than about 15%. So financially Patreon is more logical, but with youtube you do get the added perk of earlier videos if thats of value to you. At the end of the day, I am just happy if you watch an enjoy - anything more is a huge bonus so thanks for the thought!

For now I see the 944 as just a fun weekend cruiser that I can tidy up over time, and hopefully not spend too much money on it.

@@Bbeavis its a slippery slope :) They do really often need some suspension uppdates, and maybe alignment, tyres and pads. Then they really are excellent fun cars, and surprisingly practical and cheap to run. If you haven't found clarks garage website its a great source for 944 owners when it comes to mechanical work and has been for ages.
