I just have to agree with you. That 991.1 GT3 RS in Silver GT is stunning and nothing less than epic. It’s like your first love. Don’t ever sell it, you will just return to it when getting older, beating yourself up about letting it go.

I love it. But my heart also feels the gt3 rs hit the sweet spot of looks, size, arrow, and power delivery in 991.1 rs. Keep up the awesome content!

Keeping it unreal! I think you made the right choice. The 991.1 and .2s are great 911s. And in terms of value for money you probably bought it at the sweet spot when considering the mix of depreciation and mileage. Just goes to show - always listen to your pet! Enjoy the car!

Great choice Luke. I've recently acquired the exact 991.1 RS in GT silver with PCCB and gold wheels at the end of the summer, and the experience has been indescribable. The soul stirring acoustics from the full iPE Exhaust to just the right amount of analog sensations it provides, it truly is a dream come true. The pinnacle of perfection in my opinion. I agree with the inability of thinking what I would ever replace it with. Enjoy and best of luck with the car. Cheers

Great video as usual. Love the commentary and thoughts. I think car guys often get sucked into other people’s views and desires. But deep down you know when a car feels right for you. Just takes pulling off the bandaid and doing it sometimes.

Just got my first Porsche 911 about last 2 weeks and it was a 991.1 C2S. Eventhough not a GT3 RS, the 991.1 gen so for a right balance of classy and modern

The 991.1 GT3RS is so beautiful because the shape of the car si so fluid. From the underlip of the front bumper to the little spoiler under the rear wing, it’s one continuous line. The 991.2 lost a bit of that purity. The 992 GT3 RS is a monster 😁 Super impressive and agressive, but as fluid as a Transformer.

Congrats! Yes there is something very special about the 991.1 RS. I know others that have gone back to this model after owning later iterations of the GT3.

BEST decision, Luke! It's so easy for everyone to caught up with the latest and greatest new cars and tech these days but there are so many incredible "old" cars that will always be the most amazing experience - even better than the brand new cars out there. I also went through a similar path but ended up in a 2011 M3 and have zero regrets. Sure, there are endless brand new vehicles that are faster and "better" according to stats but who cares about this if the experience isn't 10/10. Keep up the AWESOME content, man! And enjoy your new RS to its fullest!

Having owned both, if I was to go back, I would have the .1 RS to, mostly because the front end is so much more capable and assured than the 4 was.

Great to hear such candid feedback, and realisation of one's self motivations. Very refreshing for a 'car youtuber' Luke! Many, many, years ago I owned a TVR Tuscan, and on one long road trip to Italy (from the UK) I did have to resort to ear plugs because otherwise I just got a terrible headache. The current 'silly car', the Caterham, can't be driven without ear plugs or noise cancelling headphones, but it is a second car, and I can put up with that for the overall experience. Mind, on last year's Germany trip, and this years, I did think at times it would've been nicer to do in the old 911… 🤣 Enjoy that GT3RS, they're amazing machines.

I am a current Porsche owner and have been driving Porsche's for the last decade in every which way possible, track time included. The Gt3 RS variant , Gt2 Rs, base GT3 and of course Mezger 996 and 991 911 Turbo are easily top most engaging , visceral , raw driving experiences on earth. Words can simply not explain it. These machines have to be truly experienced ( in real life) to have the experience. Sale every car you own and buy a Porsche. End of story.

Very insightful - most reviews just sing the praises of new cars. For me, the perfect car is the 992 GT3 as this is the first GT Porsche that I could buy new and spec to my taste. Glad you found your car!

Luke wonderful choice as I am looking at adding the same to my garage. Paint the wheels silver and it will pop to a whole new better level. It will look more complete, more harmonious and not cut off as black wheels do to cars.

Congrats! Beautiful car. I know what you mean about a 911, they feel 'just right' in a way other cars don't. I am also enjoying the 991.1 in the same color, they are a good balance of comfort, performance and practicality for daily life.

The 991.1 is my all time favorite car of all time, it's my dream car, and always takes my breathe away every time I see one. Imho it is automation perfection, great choice Luke!

When you got your 992 GT3 dialed - the chalk with white gold wheels was stunning - I was surprised you switched to the 4RS. I wondered how long that affair would last. IMO 991 is peak 911 (I have 3). Without question most beautiful. Good to have you back! It’s obvious you’re much happier now. By the way white gold wheels would also look stunning with GT Silver.

Hey Luke! It gives me some ease to know that you are in this car now because the videos you’ve done before seem to confirm that this was the car you always wanted to be in (the key to happiness is actually the video i am most referring to and i wrote this comment before you just mentioned it!). Your videos on the RS are part of a collection of videos that helped solidify my decision last December to go all in on a 991.2 GT3 RS. Some say it was crazy for that to be my very first Porsche lol, but just like in this video, you go for the thing you want. And if and when you feel ready to move on, that’s when you move on. I can relate to your feeling as well because what compelled me to take the plunge was finding a single owner with the exact spec I had written down (the miracle was that it was even literally smack in the middle of my desired mileage and $10 below my max budget 😂). The funny thing is I decided to try and start with a regular GT3 first and so started looking on the market for a standard GT3 until the perfect spec RS came up, and then the perfect spec popped up and so I just had to go for it and make financial sacrifices in other areas lol. I haven’t shared it on my channel because I wanted to keep it just for myself and really focus on making it just for me, but perhaps one day if we ever cross paths while you’re in the US, I can relay my story to you.

The 991.1 3RS is one of my favorite bodylines of the 21st century. Just a brilliantly designed & well engineered car. The .2 was a great upgrade to it & the 992 is an unbelievable engineering accomplishment. Great purchase!
