Once you see any blue smoke on initial star up, replace the air/oil separator ASAP. If you keep driving it, you will ruin your cats and it will cost $$$$ for new ones. I know, because I mistakenly believed all the keyboard mechanix who said "all Porsches smoke like that" because they are an H6 engine design. Not true! It ruined the cats on my Cayman because I kept driving it.
As a 987 Cayman owner, I was so happy to see this video pop up on my feed. I follow the red Cayman channel but was wondering why you haven't been active on it lately.
With that mileage, you should plan on replacing the water pump, thermostat, and air/oil separator very soon. Water pumps start to die at 65,000 miles, as do the air/oil separators. I have the same model Cayman S and with 125,000 miles and I am on the second water pump and air/oil separator. Just replaced the thermostat 3 weeks ago.
@@gg_v2 you assume too much. Maybe a grandparent dropped dead and left him some cash and he told his parents he wants to buy a Porsche, or that grandparent kicked off and left the kid the car. We’ll go with your point, mom and dad. What kind of person is buying a Porsche for their 11yo? The kid came by the car any number of ways and then ultimately looked to sell it. Rare situation. What’s the story?
What is that little prick doing with that car? Hah. I know it's all a comedic attempt, but it still riles me for no good reason. I'm a workin' stiff and I've never even the inside of a Porsche. Eh, F it. It's all good! 👍
