You're right Amber! Those are doilies. Hand crocheted ones went on tables so whatever was placed on it didn't scratch your furniture. Caterers use paper ones to line trays and plates of appetizers. Way back in time there were special doilies called anti- Makassar. They went on top of high back chairs and sofas because Makassar was a brand of hair tonic men used and it stained everything it touched 😂. Great grandma could tell you all about it!

I know you think a lot of them are "brand new in the plastic". But in the old days you would save the boxes and plastic bags and replace them as packaged every year to keep them clean and unbroken. Families would buy new pieces every year and build their collection. Very collectible and valuable.

Longaberger is the only basket I consider when out hunting treasures as most baskets are landfill imo. I end up keeping and using most of the Longaberger ones though I intend to resell them. They're top notch. Usually signed with initials/dated on their bottoms. Reselling is best for ones in complete state with liners and inserts, but an odd item like yours should do alright.

This brings back memories of when I collected dept 56 and Lenox. That nativity set sold for over $250 back when I collected it. Sorry to say I lost everything in a fire 6 years ago. I haven't tried to collect anything yet, but maybe I'll show up to your auction. ❤

This unit remined me of my Mom, she decorated for every holiday, but Christmas was her favorite. She started decorating the day after Thanksgiving! Every surface had to be decorated because she had so many things she cherished. My Dad would grumble as he carried everything downstairs. When the first Christmas after she passed away came my Dad called and ask if I would come help him put my Mom's Christmas village. I have some of her most cherished pieces and they go up every year at my house.

Nice ‘Moscow Mule’ mugs in that box. Very popular and I used. I bought for Moscow mule mugs about 20 years ago and they were $30. They still are a big seller. It’s very funky and very specific. And they are very nice.

Maybe think about building your own village and build on it over the years. Im sure brolly would love it. Yall might have a room you could dedicate to doing that if thata aomething you wpuld be interested in. I mean if i5s 20 plus years old and more valuable then they were imagine how much they would be worth in 20 more years. Maybe even add a really nice train to the vilage. Lots of love to ya'll. The tote that had all the little Christmas trees and such that you said would go to the yard sale is all used with the Dept 56 stuff to set up a Christmas display. You should sell it as a lot.

Doilies were an early form of coaster when they are small or decorations for the indoors as in furniture throws! Really high-end aer crocheted ! They were in vogue during the Victorian Era!

They were probably selling the Dept. 56 aftermarket. I used to go to D56 gatherings to buy retired pieces and they had handwritten prices like that. Wildly popular to collect in the 1990s.

You found a lot of stuff that I like in this one I love Christmas and stuff animal's and all the village is a lot of money and if you find a collector they may buy all of them from you at a good price one of my family members use to collect them and put them out every year until they passed so some may pay more than selling them one by one just so you know you might want to look in to some collectors for the villages. I loved this one and I'll see you in your next video

Look over those beanie babies well, most are a dollar a piece but there are some crazy valuables out there! My grandmother collected thousands of dolls and beanie babies, and when she passed and left it all to us, we found not one, but TWO ultra rare defect dragons (I forget the name) that have gone for tens of thousands on collectors auctions. We knew my grandmother knew everything about dolls and stuffed animals, but even we were shocked she had toys worth that much just sitting on a shelf in the living room. Looking back, it makes more sense that she had an insurance policy on the collection worth more than the house and land combined 😂
