@@chancehaugstad1142 '08 grade 4B 133kms, blue on blue wool velour, curtains and doilies. Ended up being around 19.5K AUD to buy and 29K AUD shipped, complied and on the road. The yen has weakened about 15% since then.
All true but the Toyota Century is still a very complicated vehicle. Little sensors can fail. Replacing the can be a nightmare. Spark plugs are replaced every 100k. It’s a big job.
Found this channel while looking for reviews for a new car. At that time was thinking of the MG ZST. 2 weeks later I'm researching Japanese imports. What have you done!!! 🤩
I just bought one myself (black 6 speed car with wool interior) after looking at these for the last 3 years.... And honestly, it cost $10k less then a brand new Mazda 2 😂, my wife and family think im crazy, but i can't hear them or the other haters as i loft down the road in complete silence in my hand built vehicle made by a team of only 45 dedicated japanese craftsman 😂. Lifes too short to not own a 17foot long, near 3 tonne, V12 powered hand built japanese machineeee, happy sailing mate!
Such an awesome car and great to see Adam too! Looking forward to more content with Justin! Didn't realise that's what he went on to do after car reviews.
ReDriven, Cult n Classic and CarSauce - some of my fav legends in the car space, all coming together in one crazy af video. 😀😀🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼 Enjoy your Century, Matt. Waiting for more videos on that. 🙌🏼
Haven't watched the video yet but this is exciting! It's like we're going back to the old days when Matt bought crazy & wacky cars such as the SsangYong Chairman.
Having my own Rideshare brand, when the mood took me I’d surprise riders in my 2005 (6spd) Century. Black, wool, lace and mirrors are the features that set it apart. When buffed, the paint stops even non-car people.
The best car shop anywhere. Cult and Classic are amazing. If you're into Japanese cars and the classics period, this is the place for you. I love my kei. Thank you Justin and Kathy.
*New Subscriber* : That was great. You're car is fantastic. I'd trust Cult & Classic to buy a car, without hesitation. But I'd have to pay for it to be shipped to here in Europe :) Best of luck with your new machines. All the best and greetings from Prague, CZ
Damn nice car, actually after watching Adam’s review on the crown hybrid I actually bought that exact car in the exact colour ,love it to bits but the century I feel I’d love to own and try also…. Great review thanks guys 👍
You bought one of the best cars and at $30000 so much cheaper than a Rolls Royce but so much better and the cars were you bought your Century very nice and l do see a couple of Toyota Corolla Fielders around
I thought I recognised Gumnut Patisserie (Bowral) and then you guys mentioned Mittagong. One of the best bakeries near Sydney and especially in the Southern Highlands of NSW.
Last year there were plenty of these for sale in the low to mid 20k, and then since few youtube videos by Redriven and another channel, I saw prices went up and I’ve checked and I don’t see any for sale on CarSales 😮 … can these be imported from Japan?
does the rego go off cylinders down there? Owning one in QLD would be a nightmare with rego prices based of cylinders from a time when emissions offset was based off where you owned the XR8 or XR6 so the V12 would be a nightmare with the goverment thinking you owned a lambo.
yes we dont know how to read foreign words. but this is 2024!!! your mobile phone caemra can help u read!!!!! And the walkman is for cassette player AUX-in to car for those who still used cassettes.
Hi, congratulations on the car, this may be a stupid question, is it possible to update the GPS and the language spoken to English or are you stuck with what it is? Additionally, as far as servicing it (more than just fluids go) do you need to take it to a specialist?
Your phone will have far better tech. I left mine alone so the car would remain totally stock. It can be upgraded, but not sure it’s worth the expense or effort.
@@PM-do2yu thanks, I didn’t mean upgrade to aftermarket gear, I meant leave it stock but upgrade the software to be in English and have Australian maps.
I'm looking to buy an import as well. Just wanted to know why you chose someone in NSW to buy the car. Isn't there someone in Vic that import cars? Love the car, wish I could afford.
