Same! I love them but they’re sooooo pigmented that I’ll NEVER use up a tube! Though the Amazon dupes are just as good so I don’t see myself buying the RB ones again except for the shades the Amazon ones don’t come in, but even with those I don’t see myself ever going through the RB ones to need to purchase them again 😂😂
@@lolwhat2628 yeah but they don’t have all the shades in minis, which I think is what the person was saying that they will all the shades came in minis
I've tried the color wow dream coat and the "dupe" for it and honestly i think the dupe was better. The Hair Chemist Sleek Anti Humidity Shine Coat is like a fraction of the cost and seemed to work for me a bit better, but also doesn't feel nearly as weird as the color wow when trying to wash it out of my hair.
I immediately bought the Rare Beauty holiday set when it came out. I have a mini blush from a previous set and very happy they released more minis in this year's set
The D Bronzi drops are also helpful if you live in a sunny climate. No matter how much I apply SPF I still get a little tanner in the summer and I use those drops to darken any tinted SPF, foundation etc so I don’t have to buy multiple shades of everything. Also I use it to slightly darken my lighter tinted SPFs so I don’t look like Casper the ghost.
I've tried both the original for straight hair and the version for curly hair and both just made my hair feel dry, brittle and crunchy. I didn't get the promised effects AT ALL either time. I know this has worked brilliantly for others but never for me so I'm extra bummed I've spent over $60 on this stuff! It is nice to see that I am not alone in finding that this did not work for me and was not worth the hype or the price tag.
As someone that’s super minimalistic, I absolutely love the d bronzi drops, I only mix a drop or two in with moisturizer and some spf so I would agree, really great for people that are going for a minimal look
I want to say that for a mineral sunscreen and not a chemical sunscreen, the Summer Fridays formula is one of the most elegant at that price point that doesn’t break me out. Compared to chemical sunscreens like the Naturium, yeah, it’s going to be a little less elegant. But I can’t wear chemical sunscreens so it has quickly become my preferred daily sunscreen… I’m about to buy my third bottle 🙈
Thanks for the info! I will have to check out Summer Fridays. I just admitted defeat on the Naturium because it's really breaking me out vs maybe the tiny bit of acne I might get from my Josie Maran suncreen because my skin is dry AND sensitive
@@KimbiWalso if you’re reactive to chemical sunscreens, make sure the mineral sunscreens don’t have any hidden chemical filters in it. SO many brands claim to be 100% mineral but use hidden chemical UV filters. They technically aren’t doing anything wrong since the hidden chemical filters aren’t regulated as sunscreens. But, they’re the basically the same. Like Butyloctyl Salicylate and Tridecyl Salicylate are both very similar in chemical structure to octisalate and act similar. They actually boost the SPF. So mineral sunscreens claiming to be 100% mineral but sheer or no white cast (things not normal with mineral sunscreens) will use less of the mineral filters than necessary to get, say 50 SPF, but then have the hidden chemical filters in it to boost it up to the 50 SPF they claim. To me, if they can use it to boost the SPF, they shouldn’t be able to call it mineral sunscreen - it’s a hybrid because it has mineral and chemical - but, since the FDA doesn’t regulate the hidden ones, they get away with it. But always make sure to check for those types! Colorscience is one that does it a lot. All the ones I’ve bought from them they claimed were 100% mineral had hidden chemical filters in them!
Face antiperspirant has been a game CHANGER! Face 3B face saver gel is my favorite. Just a thin layer where you need it. Let it dry then apply primer as usual.
@@ellieerd nope!!! I only use it where I need it and I’ve had zero issues! Just rest your primer with it and let the face antiperspirant dry first before the primer.
Ok, girl. Not all SOS dupes are the same as the original. I have tried them all expensive, and non-expensive. I consistently come back to this because it keeps the redness down on my face. It also has completely cleared any clogged pores and acne that I had. I spray in the morning after cleansing, put on my sunscreen and roll. At night, I use this after cleansing, let it dry down, and I use all of my serums and moisturizers without an issue. It has completely been a game changer for me.
Wow Dream coat is a holy grail for me. I have ultra thick wavy hair, no frizz just straight up curl. Wow dream coat keeps my hair straight. You must use heat for it to work. I enjoy your channel. Thanks
I LOVE the Sol deJenario sprays so much. I was severely chemically sensitive for almost 20 years, would never go near a fragrance of any kind. after finally treating a chronic infection a few years ago I got over my chemical sensitivity and this brand is the only scent I want to wear 🥰 I have 3. My favorite scent though is of the deodorant. I hate the Bum Bum cream though, it doesn’t moisturize my skin AND it has tiny tiny micro glitter flecks in it which gross me out (which you can only see when after you apply it to the skin, it’s really hard to see in the jar).
I have been wearing the 40 for 2yrs now and I am completely obsessed with that scent. It is by far my favorite fragrance that I’ve ever smelled in my 40 years! I will spritz it on my kids clothes before they go to school I swear it is just the most pleasant delicious smell ❤
Anti-frizz tips. I live in central Florida where it’s always 70-100% humidity. I have a ton of ultra fine wavy and frizzy hair. Below is the regimen that works for me. I generally can use any shampoo, but the “potion” below starts with a smoothing conditioner like Matrix Sleek. I love that stuff. Also, after the shower, I never use a towel to dry my hair. Instead I use a men’s XL white cotton tee shirt to dry my hair. The anti-frizz potion recipe starts with damp hair only shirt-dried: 1) Redken 25 Benefits One United spray. Spray mildly from roots to tips. This stuff is the real magic. Brush through until hair is smooth. 2) Apply about 3-4 pea sizes of Olaplex #6 from nape to tips. Do not get on or near roots. 3) Use a combo of Verb hair oil and Biosilk Silk Therapy - about 1/2 dime size total from nape to tips. Depending on hair oiliness, maybe do not get near roots on your crown but after you’ve smoothed through tips do apply the remnants to fine hair around face like side burns and bangs. 4) Blow dry. 5) Heat style root to tip.
I’ve been using the Color Wow for over a year, now, and it works well for me. I *do not* drench my hair in it. I use it like a leave in conditioner, but adding a few more sprays than that. I also don’t live in a highly humid area, maybe that’s the difference for me. 🤷♀️ I agree that it doesn’t really last for a few washing like it says it will, and everyone I know that likes it, says the same. A product not living up to all its claims - are we really very surprised?
I like the Sol De Janeiro body sprays, however the scent does not last on me at all. And I go through them super fast. However, I'm a sucker for their limited edition scents, so I continue to buy them.
Same! I found layering them with something else helps or with lotion. If I apply like a vanilla lotion and the 62, it lasts all day on me. But if I apply just the 62, it fades pretty quickly. If I apply a perfume with notes that pair well, the Sol De Janeiro sprays last a lot longer that way too!
the color wow worked for me. after i conditioned in the shower i used a diy apple cider vinegar rinse to make sure my conditioner didn't interfere with the color wow
Fine frizzy hair here AND I live in Singapore (very hot and humid year round). Color Wow - the regular one not extra strength - is the only thing that I’ve found that stops my hair from frizzing.
I was only vaguely interested in the D-Bronzi,, so I bought the Physicians Formula Butter Glow liquid instead. It's amazing.. I can't imagine the Drunk Elephant one being better (or maybe at least not someone with dry skin like me!) I add a drop or two to my sunscreen, and it is so smooth and nice! I rarely use foundation after, but have no problems if I do. I would say go for the Butter Glow first!!
Loved this video. Thank you so much for giving your thoughts about these products. For me sometimes I think I should try them and if I wait for your reviews then I know what’s worth the hype. It is so helpful!!
I tried the Color Wow anti frizz and it did not do anything for me. I have naturally curly hair. I cannot use any products that have glycerin high up on the ingredients list. My hair just frizzes over the top when I use glycerin products.
I've been using the SkinSmart antimicrobial spray which they call a "facial cleanser" and I feel like it's a really good value. I got mine from Amazon for about $16 and it's a full 8 fl. oz. I didn't know any of that about not using it with vitamin C. I will have to look into that. I have been using this spray twice a day and feel like my skin has been clearer than normal.
I like D Bronzi (and the rosy drops) most for mixing with foundations that are too light for me in the summer but I’m sure there is a cheaper option out there that can achieve the same effect.
I haven't tried it myself but I've heard of people mixing in a bit of liquid bronzer to their foundation for the same effect. And I know Kelly has been mixing in the Elf color correctors to change the undertone
Thanks for saving me money you angel of a person 😌🙌 I know I'd eventually bite the bullet and buy it. It's so dissapointing when expensive hair products do not deliver more than the basic stuff.
Oh that sol de Janeiro mist smells super plummy on me. I don't smell the vanilla AT ALL 😂 amazing how different they smell on everyone or to everyone. I'll agree with u, it is quite a complicated profile. And if u like the Tom Ford Bitten Peach, you'd be happy to have this at this price point. They are quite similar (if u can smell the plum more than the vanilla, like me😅)
I bought a liter of hypochlorous acid spray for $30 on Amazon, I love the Briotech brand. I went through 3 of the Walgreens brand hypochlorous sprays before committing to a big one. I use it as my first step after I wash my face, but I also use it throughout the day. It's fantastic for after a big blemish breaks to keep transfer of bacteria and such down.
I think I'm a little confused about using throughout the day like you mention and Kelly discusses here. Do you wear makeup and spray over it? Can it penetrate through that? Or do you just re-spray if not wearing makeup?
@@kateliness2 Hey there! I mist it over my makeup during the day, the intention is the same as using a hand sanitizer throughout the day. Hypochlorous acid is a gentle disinfectant that can help get rid of surface bacteria and germs when applied over makeup. I have used it to spray my mask and face after eating to prevent maskcne as well. I would not spray more than a couple times over makeup. It is a tiny bit of the active with mostly Distilled water. It won't improve makeup wear, I would use it as you would one of those Mario badescu mists. Just to refresh through the day
@@happytx1860 same. My hair turned curly after having kids. The very top and front are straight af and the back is thick, coarse, dry and super curly and super stubborn. It's the only thing combined with blow dry and straightener that gets mine completely smooth in the back.
I have the regular supernatural dream spray not the extra strength and I like it. I don't live in an extremely humid environment so I feel like I get similar results with the new Lolavie (Jennifer Aniston brand) spray. When we move into the wet winter time I will definitely need to do a side-by-side comparison between the two.
Best way to use debronzer with my foundation which is always a bit lighter than my face due to my redness and it works so well. It mixes so well with any foundation and gives a really nice glow. Very good for dry skin. I love it.
I swear on everything I breakout from that Tower 28 save our skin spray. I used it for a couple weeks when I first got it and it broke me out. Then I tried it again being hopeful and broke out even worse. I am not acne prone and made no other changes.
hypochlorous acid is basically bleach-ish. like being in a pool. bleach is sodium hypochlorite. little less harsh, but…i’ll have to research this. i use clindamycin for breakouts and mainly DIFFERIN! that works amazingly. changed my skin. it’s drying though when used in the winter (for dry skin girlies like us)
I love the d bronzi - I don’t fake tan and i’m fair so I don’t seem like their ideal customer 😅 but i find it’s amazing for mixing in with my spf to take off the white cast and give me just a slight glow. Then I take a teeny bit and dab on high points of cheeks as bronzer. I don’t wear foundation so that’s me done. The main complaint I have with d bronzi is they’re never in stock! It’s the only item I have a permanent back up of to make sure I don’t run out haha
it's crazy with the dream coat because the directions that I had it on my bottle tells you to section off your hair like you said coat your hair and then I'll use it for my blowout hair thing and keep tensioner at the whole time and my blow out last for a couple days at that point I was opposed to just one
8:08 I’m so sad that the Dream Coat didn’t hit for you 😢 I bought into the hype and had to try it- for me it really did work like a dream. It doesn’t last through a wash, that’s BS. But for my thick, curly/wavy mop when I use as directed, blow out, and go over a couple of stubborn spots with low heat in the straightener, my hair stays smooth and sleek until I wash it next. The test for me was using it to do my hair before a work trip to New Orleans in July- did my head get sweaty and gross? Yes, but my hair did not frizz 🙌
SOS spray is one of the only things that helps perioral dermatitis. it is.a godsend.i would pay twice as much for it. the bottle last me forever I use it every day and there is nothing else that does what it does. there are some cheaper dupes that dont work as well for me.
When I cover the rare beauty blush with powder to set my face it literally fades away..I used the huda beauty and one size it both completely covered it 😭
I like the bronzing drops in my sunscreen, its a stand alone product...I don't need foundation afterwards and it takes the whitecast.. I don't like it on its own..
everyone says it's cheaper to buy other sprays than tower 28 but everything from a dermatologist or online by me costs the same (or more if shipping is involved) and doesn't get me points for Sephora 😂
Be careful when looking for hypochlorous acid spray dupes. The ingredient needs to be diluted and within a certain pH to work effectively on skin. The sprays made for disinfecting are too concentrated for skin!
I don't like it either. Bliss gets almost neon on my cheeks and I cannot tone it down. Got another color in the other formula, not a fan either. Too powerful and hard to work with, colors aren't working with my skin.
I have Bliss and I don't like it either. I can't get it to not go on patchy no matter what I do. I am new to liquid blush in general, but I've tried one of the Em cosmetics liquid blushes and had no issues. Someone on Reddit said that they mix their RB matte blush with another product (might have been the Saie Glowy Super Gel?? Idk) and that worked for them. I don't own that product or anything similar so I can't vouch for that myself.
