Nice job on the Stanger! When I had my auto-body shop, I bought a totaled 83 GT in 1984 with only 8,000 miles for $2,000. Black on black, 302, 5 speed, loaded with t-roofs. It was bent in half - ran over a telephone pole that was laying on the ground - hit the engine cradle and drove the frame rails up - nearly thru the floor, causing the front bumper to go down. If you looked at the car from the outside, there was no visual damage other than the front bumper hood and fenders were stretched to the ground! I sent the car to a good frame shop, and $500.00 later, the chassis was straight. I repaired the fenders and hood . I plastic welded / repaired the bumper cover. some paint and polish, and it was a keeper for about 2 years and 10,000 miles. I traded it for a motor home! Gus, have fun with the car - be careful - it's faster than you think!!

Even without the power steering working, you somehow got yourself a steal of a car, as in, you practically stole it. The car is worth more than that even if it didn’t have an engine under the hood. That’s because it’s now officially referred to as a classic car. And classic cars go up in value as long as they’re given decent care. You should be able to make a bit of money off this care. Whomever sold it to you was either an idiot or a little old lady who doesn’t understand cars very much. I think in this case…it’s probably the idiot. I’ve owned two different FOX body Mustangs. First was a 1986 Mustang LX 5.0 fastback with the Mustang GT’s sport interior. Following that, I bought a 1991 GT convertible. That car was absolutely gorgeous. It was forest green metallic with grey ground effects, a white leather interior and a white top. And it ended up being stolen. I purchased both of those cars new ( not to give away my age). I’m a big fan of convertibles and currently have a 2014 BMW 428i hardtop convertible. I’ve had numerous others as well, but that 1991 Mustang was my first.

70 year old Follower from Los Angeles. I had a 6 cyl automatic 1968 Mustang for a while. Yours needs a Rubout and a Wax !! But an 80's isn't the same as a '68 !!

Id of taken the 2500.00 !!! Once ya put all the time and money/ parts you're into it for another G !! Sell it!! Interior is shit! Ect..I'd of taken the 25 and called for a ride!! Lol

You are not a normal 23 year old. Not a lot of people can do what you just did to that car by yourself. To even know what you needed to replace. The same thing with working on your boats. You are not scared to tackle whatever and somehow know what needs replaced and figure out how to do it. I have watched several of your videos and you are in the right area to make a good living from your boat. You can fix cars and boats. Ft Lauderdale and Miami are the boating capital of the world. Also, you seem to knock things out and get them done. That again is rare. You have videos people can watch to give them an idea of what you can do. I can see you making a great living in South Florida and enjoying our weather. I did live in Ft Lauderdale but now I live in Winter Haven, FL. We have the Chain of Lakes up here and a ton of fresh water boats. I would be happy to give you a tour of the Chain of Lakes if you are ever in the area. Keep up the awesome work!!!

Make sure you use a zinc additive or diesel oil like rotella. Theses early foxes have flat tappet cams.

Found this looking for Fox Body content. My 91 Vert is a Florida car and looks the same way. Pretty simple cars to work on. Did a great job. Yes I get a 👍🏻 every time I drive mine too. Yours is almost 40 years old but still has some modern features compared to old old cars. Like rack and pinion, power disc brakes up front. They are very fun to drive . A lot of fun for the money.
