A most excellent adventure! I enjoyed this video because I have ties to the endpoints (also lived in Naples). I live in Buffalo and saw the boat come up for sale, saw the video link and just had to watch. I used to live in New Bern and spent many hours on the Neuse River fishing back in the day. That tide is something else! That Hatteras Yacht you passed was built in New Bern, their factory is down there. The Erie Canal is an interesting trip, especially if you have time to stop at some of the small towns along the canal.
I love the channel. You are very knowledgeable and nothing seems to phase you. Just as a matter of interest what experience and qualifications do you have. You are young and just seem to have so much experience and your boat handling is fantastic. Just wish I was was your age and experience in boats. Chris from Western Australia.
I suspect as long as your sacrificial anode is okay, the hull will last. Just make sure you don't have dissimilar metals connected via conductor within the structure. Maybe you could use a volt meter to detect issues. That blister on the side might be one.
This is going to be SICK. Just discovered your channel. Very pumped to see the progress on this boat. A 70' old boat is a massive undertaking. Good luck, you got this!

One of the things I noticed is how positive you are about pretty much everything. That refreshing 😀 keep that up man and the boat is just awesome. Living the dream 👍👍
It was cool seeing you bring the boat up from the Keys and spending some time in Naples and Marco Island. I live just over the bridge from Marco in Naples and every day when I go over to Marco I see a Hatteras similar to Bella tied up at the Yacht Club. I enjoyed all your videos, keep doing what you’re doing and swing by the west coast some more!
I continue to really enjoy your videos, even though the one I just watched was from a while ago... I've really enjoyed power-boating since the 1950s and continue to think that it would be great to have a 1950s ("bull-nose") Chris Craft power boat in the 30-40 length. I live in Seattle and people in this area still realy like these old wooden boats. 🙂

Aww, that was awesome to hear Jed so happy and feeling victorious! I was a little worried about him and the visible anxiety he felt, when it was time for you to leave!
