I apologize for the poor audio. I made the trip and filmed on the windiest day in the history of existence it seems. Anyway, this was a fantastic find on Craigslist and cutting it open will definitely be a treat! Guitar tops for everybody!!

Nothing more fun than cutting up wood and thinking about all the cool stuff you can make.

Anxious to see what it will look like. I am somewhat looking for fret board material with light and dark stripes. Yes I want to see the video of you milling it.

I'd like to see a list of what you're able to extract from the Ironwood. e.g xx pen blanks, xx bowl blanks, lumber with dimensions and net returns from $120 and labor/transport etc. Be a god exercise- any possible losses oh well mark them up to fun and entertainment

I know a few places near Florence / Mesa where you could harvest some nice dead stumps in the middle of nowhere.

I'm in Queen Creek, I guess I need to keep my eyes open.

Luke Edward Mixter some are on the ground, some in the ground. There's dead wood out there to be had.👍

Luke Edward Mixter most definitely. Let me know when works for you. I'm in East Mesa. We can talk guitars and wrestle stumps!

Great haul with the Uhaul, can't wait to see you cutting it up into knife scales and guitar tops!

Sawmill? Wouldn't think there would be a sawmill nowhere there.

Jeff Gillis it’s really heavy it’s kind of uncomfortable when you make guitars from it

Presumably the dude you bought this from grubbed it up from the desert. Who owns the desert over there? This is a serious question as I see all sorts of shooting videos where chaps wander off into the middle of nowhere and pot off a few wild animals for their meat or skins. Here in the UK, virtually all land is privately owned with the exception of parks and other bits owned by the nation. Grub any of this stuff up and you’ll likely end up in the slammer.
