@McKenna Heaney I don't think the OP commenter was saying she's a reckless spender, but regardless of the reason behind buying the expensive items (which are valid reasons as you stated), they do still "count" towards the spending/buying profile Instagram/the internet at large would be keeping on her. So while she wouldn't buy the $800 Crocs, $100 bras, weird electronic leggings, or other high-priced items if it weren't for the videos, she did still buy them and Instagram/FB/etc knows that and has that information stored in her "secret profile". They don't care that she's buying them for videos, they just care she has the money/williness to spend.

we ordered a sweater off an instagram ad and tried to track our shipping but never got a shipping number even though we were charged... the website no longer exists and we can't contact them so thanks instagram...

Well, I think she should do a series where she dresses up based off of the aesthetic as the winners from RuPauls Drag Race, from the newest (with Sasha Velour) to the past ones (Bob the Drag Queen; Violet Chachki; Bianca Del Rio; Jinkx Monsoon; Sharon Needles; Raja; Tyra Sanchez; and Bebe Zahara Benet), along with the All Stars winners (Chad Michaels and Alaska), and any of your personal favourites. It would be awesome to see Safiya try to dress like them with bold makeup and hair out in public, and it would just be epic!!

you should do a video where you try recreating those super intense crazy make up looks that you see from the displays in the front of make up stores and wear them out in public! it's kind of like your store mannequin video because those displays are usually to showcase the make up but not be actually worn out into the world

you should do 'fans pick my outfit' where you do 5 polls (a top poll, bottoms poll etc) each section saying like cropped top, black top, bright top etc or you should do first top suggested from 'Instagram ad' or 'youtube ad' / you should do you tubers pick my outfit, where you get a selection of different you tubers to send you an item of clothing (or you tubers pick my makeup etc)
i am rewatching these during quarantine as one does and now that i have taken many mass communications classes, i can tell you that the way facebook ads/instagram ads work is that companies can buy them based on like different levels so you can just do demographics or you can go more specific and look at what someone has liked or what websites they have visited. you can actually even look at facebook analytics as long as you have some sort of page made instead of just a profile and see what pages a vast majority of people within certain demographics like. for example: women 23-30 in los angeles california who like beauty and then you can see which sort of other facebook pages they like based on that information. ads get targeted mainly to demographics. the reason the denim jeans and shirt were most likely ads was because they were based out of los angeles, and then the others are most likely just demographics. also sponsored posts from things you already like are done on purpose. the company wants you to buy that thing and knows you might not see their post.
As much as I like the jacket, I totally feel like the leather jacket in the third picture would have brought this outfit together more. Denim + leather + graphic tee + black "leather" ankle boots + black star/moon earrings? It would have flowed so well. But for some reason the jacket threw off the outfit to me.
ColorfulConfessions it’s because her shirt and jeans had a washed out color palate. The accessories of shoes could be black because they weren’t statement pieces. But that jacket? Its too bold and nothing ties it together.
I like the jacket with the outfit. I think that the jacket matches the shoes, and the shoes go with the shirt, and the shirt goes with the pants. 70s vibe!
I feel like she doesn’t care how ridiculous the items are, just that she’s doing it in the most scientific way possible. Like she chose the first item in the ad, or like she chose jeans with a star on the butt because that seemed to be what the company really wanted to advertise. She could have put together a much cuter outfit, but I don’t think that was her goal.

Don't assume anyone is an idiot, ever, and certainly don't express it even if you think it. Not only is it not kind or necessary or even true, it has the unfortunate effect of making you appear to be the thing you said someone else was.

I think the reason the T shirt was more expensive is that it was actually made in the US and the company’s employees are actually paid properly. Compared to cheaper brands like H&M which products are maid in Asia by underpaid workers.
Yeah and most of those clothes from those companies aren't personalized at all, they are just made in thousands of batches and sent to hundreds of different companies all around the world and they just put up a tag so consumers think they actually bought something unique which is not the case at all
But is it same or worse material. When shopping at Alibaba/express, Wish or eBay you might get the ones that were rejected by quality control or health authorities. Like allergene nickel-lead instead of a safe silver-copper alloy, or an attachment that breaks on the 3rd night out.
@@johncrowerdoe5527, I did some digging and I mean a lot (I have a bad but also a good habit of over researching) from my understanding they mostly are known for there subscription boxes and that all okay. But they are low-quality items and one person compared to one on I think wish and the one they had and they had similar products. Don't quote me on thins but in my opinion, they look like its a case of dropshipping and marking up the prices. sorry if I sound a little rude I mean no harm I'm just giving my 2 cents
