Without a doubt my favourite 7 series. Such a gangsta looking car! Timeless shape. Those rear exhaust cut outs do look awful though.

I've got one of these 2.8i Sport as a daily driver and it's my affordable dream car. I get people asking me about it all the time. School kids call it a gangster car and it makes me feel good driving it because there are hardly any still on the road. Mine even has a working phone from the year 2000. I paid £3000 2 years go with 117,000 miles and I absolutely love it. Oh and those wheels are standard on the Sport and are called M Parallel style 37s that are still worth £1500 in good condition.

Not bad for an old banger better than most modern cars

They still look good and are a nice car to drive. The first day i turned up at work in mine, a cleaner asked if it was a M3.. the E36 (and oresumably the modern M3) was a great car but the E38 looks more badass, even with some of the 16" style wheels

I had a 1996 728i se 7 series back in 2004 ,what a fantastic car absolutely loved it .I even entered it in a top speed event on.the airfield at Woodbridge Suffolk. And it recorded a terminal speed of 152 mph . Also don't forget Jason statham drove a 7 series in the 1st transporter movie 🇩🇪

I had 3 of these. All 728i Sport models on 2001 Y reg. Regret selling them and I got them all super cheap in mint condition from BCA auctions when I was a car trader back in 2015. Awesome cars... Built solid and smooth drives. Always turned heads when I drove that car.

The wind deflector was just trying to find the right home for the rest of the car.

i had a '99 e38 740 'shorty' (740i, not an iL) and loved it. paid $5k for it in 2012 and owned it for a couple of years. was a mid-level spec but so many things about the car were incredibly polished and the thing was built like a tank. always thought bmw missed out by not making an acual M version of the 7 series back then.

I’ve had 5 of these now. An individual Mora Metallic 728i Sport, an Oxford Green 728i Sport, a Titan Silver 740i Sport, a Biarritz Blue 750i LWB, and a Titan Silver 740i AC Schnitzer S7. I only sold the S7 in October last year after 7 years. I spent £40,000 in maintenance over 7 years and 60,000 miles. I am obsessive and wanted the car mechanically perfect. The body had started to rust so I got rid and I wasn’t putting another £6000 into a paint job. No chance. Do I miss it? Yes. Nothing quite like the M62 V8, especially when serviced every 3000 miles without fail (yes, I am obsessive). Would I have another? No chance. Financial suicide. Killed me off for sure.

I've just brough the exact same crv and they're such a versatile car, rear seats move forward, recline, fold up, fold over again and can be removed completely in seconds, such a cool car for their reliability too and for the price they're great, I've also got a stinger gts we use as a daily but just lately I'm loving the comfort of the crv!

The 1995 BMW 735i (E38) was Frank Martin's first car in The Transporter. The vehicle served as Frank's primary mode of transportation. Frank first uses the car when he drives some bank robbers away from the police in a high speed chase. i love these cars.

Get an 840d if you're looking for a luxury diesel. Just got myself an 840i coupe and it's unreal, love the G-Series cabin.

This is my childhood calvin my dad had 2 back in the day 728i individual with the blue colour and chrome wheels 😂 but I loved rocking that to school and it had the big screen tv 👌🏾

I've just watched the video regarding Binca closing and due to circumstances most of the cars will have to go to Auction just due to storage etc, so unless you have a printer straight away for this car Calvin isn't it just another that's may be going to Auctions.When you up loaded the video about business closing temporarily until you sourced somewhere ya liked. Shame you didn't have a January sale might have been better than sending alot of cars to the sales.

It’s slow to respond because it’s a cable throttle attached to a lazy tourqe converter setup. If you flash the alpina software to the box the tourqe converter will lock up quicker you’ll get slightly quicker shifts and will upchange at 6500rpm instead of 6k when foot flat down

To be fair the Beemer's a banger and the guy wanting a family car chose well with the Meriva and it's suicide doors. I personally wouldn't consider a Vauxhall but a family man working to a budget it's a no brainer. 7 series Beemer's are for your Arthur Daley's and their cigars not your hard working nurse or postman 🤣 Great vlog mate....appreciated 👍

Even taking the Meriva over the CRV must be a red flag.

I used to work in the Middle East and we used that model of CRV for protection cars (2.4L petrol)

Come on Calvin, rear electric windows were standard on a base model Passat in 2001 never mind a 7 series. I love these things and I'm seriously considering a 750i of similar age but the windows....nah bro.

Back in 2006 have same colour 19 inch same wheels with full spec 740d both turbos has gone cost the repair about 5k otherwise car was absolutely dream❤

This is great car, best looking car I prefer this then any of the new bmws, this was Last best 7 series after this they went down with desgins and overall quality this was when e46 and e39 where rocking the market, these are not just bangers these are proepr drivers car, a machine that has so much spec and also luxury at cheap price.

gotta ask does the engine warm idle for a long period of time before driving off and mechanical engineers put out not good in not fluids/fuel flow and takes oil longer to warm up as oil flows from the beginning of start and can cause slight engine wear and to carry out a gentle drive in the warm up process until temps are up before driving it hard had to ask

Thats 3 grand all day ive got one 1999 728i The Mparralell wheels are worth £900 .728i is the best engine straight 6 will do 149 mph and itl do 40mpg on a run and 30mpg round town and so quiet and cumfy .climbing in price now .8 AIR bags in 1999 .only use E5 or youl kill it .And if you put an 02 Sim in the phone it will work fine mine does .And mine is now on 186000 miles realy quiet .

I had one of those slightly older had a lovely smell of petrol everywhere i drove. turned out the petrol tanks rot on them and start leaking. Very expensive fix and sold straight away. If Calvin paid more than £750 for that car i'll blow myself!
