I've been complaining about the quality of shoes especially and everything else lately. No pride of workmanship anymore so I buy quality thrift and do my own tailoring, sometimes extensively, to have a nice wardrobe.

Honestly, after your last analysis of Zara. I went and bought some cute summer/ spring looks, which weren't cheap and the clothing lasted less than 3 months after a couple of careful washes and regular use. NEVER AGAIN. My hard earned money will go to better quality clothing even if it's more expensive. At least I know the outfits can last over a year and a half....thank you for all your knowledge. You're literally teaching grown women like myself to make mature decisions and investing in quality fashion, not fast fashion!

Yep and even the costlier items are still likely to be climate-killing fast fashion. They need to alter their entire supply chain, Not greenwash select items. I am glad they offer recycling and they seem to be moving in a sustainable direction as important changes take time. Hard to really know what is ethical and ecologically friendly. Justine Leconte’s channel is an excellent resource for this.

Massimo Dutti is a fantastic store. I have bought several pieces and they are a statement in my wardrobe. This year Zara has some cute stuff but with quality comes pricey. Here with taxes and currency the 60.00US pieces ends up being 85.00 US. Still I had invested in some Of them. The green mint outfit saw them live and is sooo cute I feel guilty if they get dirty.

I usually avoid Zara like the plague. The way they portray their items on the website is ridiculous and the stores are so chaotic. But seeing the items on you they looked great. I would have never considered any of that by just looking at their website. I just ordered the Pucci knock off set I am such a sucker for green. Btw I took your course a year and a half ago and it is worth it for sure!

Would love to see you do a capsule collection as each season rolls around. You could do a starter version for dressing elegantly and a more advanced version for people who are ready for augmenting their existing elegant wardrobe. Ahhh..... great minds think alike! 😆 I also buy items and tuck them away for a few years before I actually rotate them in my wardrobe. My grandmother taught me to always upgrade all buttons, by doing so, it gives the garment an uplift and makes it more unique. Nice choices Anna. Great vlog. As a seamstress I always get into quality control mode when I go clothes shopping. I like to check linings buttons and hems etc to see how neatly they have been stitched. Zara’s clothes can be expensive so a button that falls off even before wearing is definitely a red flag for me.❤️🇬🇧

Although Zara is horrible quality, cheap polyester fabrics and bad stitching... Think for a moment... It is in contradiction to everything she used to say about fast fashion

Oh Anna what a nice surprise to see you! Just what I needed. Have been feeling a little blue lately. First time in my life I've gained weight. Normal weight is 95 - 98 lbs (Im only 5'3) and I have recently put on 13 lbs. Its a big change for me. So I was very pleased, quite happy to see you here. The black 'cupcake' dress was a favorite as was the white preppy outfit, which I felt had very nice appeal. In the past, I have had difficulty with sizing bc many time I still had to shop in the Junior section. A few years ago some of the exclusive stores here in Southern California had a section called PreTeen which was just a bit narrower than a Junior size . Always fit me perfectly and usually the clothing had nice lines with some elegance. Since I've 'grown' up recently, I believe now I'll be shopping with you ladies. Perhaps a trip to Zara is due soon?? 🌷

Thank you! I still occasionally shop fast fashion, but try to stick to the items made w/ 100% natural fibers. The Pucci knock-off looks amazing and the white skirt is lovely. Please check out J.Crew or Ann Taylor.

The only things I like in Zara are the linen shirts. Thanks to you, for the past 2 years I've been upgraded my closet little by little with only better brands: falconeri, lilly silk, massimo dutti. Better fabrics: silk, cashmere, linen.

I love the green actually! One thing I realized recently is that sometimes the elegant fashion seems to age people, not in a bad way, but also makes people seem staid. But this one was lovely, the cut was elegant, makes you look fresh and lovely but in an elegant way!

I remember I bought a polyester blouse from New Yorker when I was in high school and it lasted me for a decade. It never lost its colour or shape and it looked so good, elegant even. And every year I would pull it out and be amazed at how long it lasted and how well it wore. So yes, there are hidden gems ~everywhere~ :) Very nice video, Anna! I definitely will go and check out Zara for some of the pieces you've showcased as well :)

I’m becoming Anna! 😂 I picked up the first tweed blazer last week after inspecting it and saying how well made it is and how it expensive it looks! It’s a perfect choice for Eid while paring it with bell-bottoms style Zara pants and a black Versace couture bag to complete my look. Thanks Anna for teaching us your tricks and sharing your tips. 🤍

I take a lot of your suggestions and buy from sites like ThredUP and Poshmark- you can get beautiful clothes that are new or like-new condition for a fraction of the cost. Second hand first! Better for the planet and my teacher-salary wallet.

I'm going to keep an eye out for some of these items next time I go to Zara. The knockoff outfit looks good. It looked like one piece when you put the blouse and skirt on. Would love to see you feature H&M.
