NYC may not be a perfect city, but it remains a magical place and you showed exactly why that is with your reactions and the people you've met. Also, the Apple Store on Fifth Avenue is definitely pretty cool. The store was designed that way with the glass cube entrance and the spiral staircase to motivate people to see what's inside it, inspired by the famous pyramid designed by I. M. Pei outside the Louvre in Paris.
